Movie Colony Hotel - Adults Only

Service, location, comfortable bed, and that they change up breakfast items a little bit - to-go bags are simple but in the lobby you have more options. They brought in good quality pastry too but it was a Saturday so maybe it was a weekend thing? They also had Baileys and Whiskey by the coffee in the morning which was a nice touch. Great coffee too.

The shower door couldn't be closed completely. We could close it but water would come out through the crack from the lower end of the door which made the bath mat really wet. There was a "outdoor area" in our room which was advertised as "balcony", but there was no view but just 5ft tall fences and lots of leaves on the floor. Room was on the first floor and was very dark. Cleaning staff started around 8 which was really loud.

Amazing staff. Very social. Love fact was adult only. Friday 4-40 was wine and cheese. Over good experience

We did night swimming. Pools closed @10 but could do better cleaning. I know there are bugs, and it's hard. But little cleaning every hour or so would be better. Oh, and another thing, the shower, drainage, wasn't working well was going really slow, so water will come out of the shower. They did have matts but still was always worried that they got flooded, so they had to quick showers.

Nate at the front seat is back! He is always in good Spirits and knows how to make guest feel at home. I swear, the first time we stayed here he made an impression. I wrote a review before Covid about how great Nate was and how nice the Movie Colony was. Covid hit, the lobby closed, Nate was no where to be found. It was a great surprise to see him there again. He offered us out breakfast meal (brown paper bag meal) when we checked in so we didn’t have to wake up early to get it. We are easy people to please. He is genuine and that’s one of the reasons why we stay here over the others. Sure, it’s a little smaller, and not very busy. That’s why it’s a hidden gem. I have told a lot of my coworkers (cedars Sinai) to stay here Cuzz it’s private and not over populated.

I just wish the bar was up to code. The bar near the pool. Or, if there was someone there just selling snacks or whatever. It’s a cool little bar. But, save where u gotta save.

The mid-century modern design and decor. I’m pretty sure I had the room that Jim Morrison was in when he jumped from the balcony into the pool.

Loved the property. Maybe the only drawback would be that the lobby wasn’t open and we had to check in at the sister hotel next door, but that’s really minor.

The 4pm reception cheese and wine. The hot tub, Prompt response by maintenance .

The outdoor pool wasn't heated. Reception was often locked, No television programmes on Wednesday. Internet connection intermittent.

Nice rooms and great and friendly staff The girl that checked us in informed us we can get unlimited of the small water bottles during our stay I thought that was super cool. Thank you

The only thing I didn’t like was that an employee went to drop off towels on the top where our room was and left it there on the floor I would of assume they would just take our dirty towels too. Or instead of leaving our bag of clean towels upstairs in our room just leave them in the entrance in the living room if you’re not going to take any of our dirty towels or restock toilet paper etc. (also wished there was music playing the three days we stayed there in the pool area, when we were checking out that’s when we heard the music outside playing.. sadly it was too late)

The room was very private and far enough away from the pool to not have it be a noise issue. The private patio was large but it was not cleaned and did not have a view. The staff were fantastic and very helpful.

Due to COVID restrictions our room was not cleaned during out stay. It was not a big deal for us but it would have been nice to have have clean sheets and towels without having to ask. Could hear the folks in the room above us. Next time I will make sure to book a second floor room.

Great location. Staff were very helpful and parking was super-convenient.

The place is undergoing some sort of transformation and check-in was handled by the property next door. There were no amenities on site. We did book at short-notice but the property was very quiet and still the Booking.com price was way higher than the prices on the property's website.

Love the location. Close to good restaurants and town. It's small and quiet but lots of interesting friendly people. The happy hour is nice to meet other guests and Nate is a very nice host along with Olivia.

We enjoyed immensely. As soon as we arrived home, we booked another stay for November 2023. Our new go to for Palm Springs. Our stay was perfect. The gentleman at the front desk was super awesome!
