Geat location for me and good Value.... However the reservation process is not easily navigated. I was told my stay for the two night would be $63 then was billed $75 at check out! I'm s Genius level guess and the Booking site would let me use my two valid credit cards , which I've used several times before, and had to have the owners of the property check me in., It took me an hour a 45 minutes to reserve and room then I was charged extra. usually the total is $57 for the two nights. What happened?

I was charged $18 more than usual and it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to reserve . Usually the charge for two nights is $57, total. This time it was $75 and the owners had to check me in because the site was working! When I was reserving , the site was quoting a lesser price but then at check out it added $18 more that usual. . The site kept rejecting my valued payment...very frustrating;!

If you don't mind a type of housing that is set up like a "college house/dorm" or a "hostel", this is a very good & cheap place to stay. Although the neighborhood is what I'd call "a little dumpy", it's safe, and friendly. They have one private room for rent, the other bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds (4 beds) so if you go for the cheaper room, remember to bring your ear plugs because some folks come in very late. Lighting isn't great in that room as it is overhead, & if someone comes in at 1 am, they fumble around in the dark (didn't know where light was, & noisey, not to mention folks that snore.) & FYI, traffic noise as the house backs into a very busy city street. I was in between gigs, a single female, car packed w life, and I always felt safe. A real grocery store, you would have to drive to, but there is a few convenient stores in walking distance. There is a staff member on location, but only deals with inside house issues (nothing to do with payment or booking, door codes, etc.) Staff that deals w those other items are dealt w via text/phone calls. If you need to stay 14 days or more, you have to sign a lease, (even if it's for 15+ days) & a give them a lot of personal information. I found the staff via phone less available on weekends,(I heard they have several properties and are very busy on weekends.) but otherwise very good. I found it to be perfect for me, safe enough, cheap, and friendly. When I come back to the area, I will definitely reconnect w this group. I really liked it here, and the staff.

Silly things: kitchen overhead lighting didn't get replaced, bedroom w bunk beds only has overhead lighting (making it difficult to maneuver at night while someone else is sleeping) and door codes were an issue for the first 2 weeks, but the staff finally got it resolved. Again, little things.

First time I got use this Whole family house concept and I'm satisfied. Initially I drove to check another whole family house at different part of Sacramento which was at half price of this (13 instead of 23) but the area felt unsafe with many homeless people being around amount other things. The area of the Wholestyl house felt much normal and safe. I saw a regular family next to it and everything looked good and I found a good spot to park my car, so I booked. After booking you start receiving some door codes from automatic messages that don't work to unlock the door but you also receive a series of three messages with link to documents you need to read and sign about rules you need to follow. At the last one you need to upload a photo of yourself and your ID, so be prepared for that. And after that you'll get a proper pin. There is also telephone number to call the owner which I didn't use. This document requirements feels necessary for the safety of those being in the house and it is what you'll normally do if you would at a reception of a hotel, but here is done digitally. Other guests will also help you come in the house if needed but of course it's safer to know that you've got a door code. The room had only three beds which worked well. Sheets smell fresh. There is a living room too and overall it was clean for the standards of this type of accommodation. The price I paid turned to be 6 USD more for a night because of taxes. I do recommend it.

In the so called beach house 1 that I stayed the bed and mattress could be of better quality and the air didn't smell fresh.

The price is exceptiona,l especially with kitchen facilities provided and staff on hand to provide answers for any questions you may have or resolve any issues that may arise.it is definitely a family setting and feels as if the house gives you a big warm hug when you come in. It's a wonderful atmosphere, not a hostel but a homestal. Great job folks definitely highly recommend. 👍

Wish there was more parking other then that, what not to like. This place is.👍

Very cute cottage type house/hostel, Warm and inviting with shared kitchen and restroom amenities and a cute little yard...it was great for the kids to have a roof for a couple days be out of the cold. Thank you so much and the price was perfact.

It. Was perfect ,I don't have anything negative to say, may a tv would have been good but definitely fine without it Better then most motels.

Cheap place with provision to prepare food. Microwave, oven and burners were available for use. Small but useful workspace. Some open space as well in case one wants to catch some fresh air.

Nothing in particular.

Traffic on main road adjacent was not a problem and neighborhood was relatively quiet.

Users were not keeping place clean.

The Value, The Stay, The Clean and Very Nice Invironment. The Hostel was a Great way to Stay

It's hard to find your bus stop in the dark

Good location short bus ride or a 45 min walk into the city. The price is great and felt like a nice neighborhood with friendly locals.

Not a great deal of privacy but that goes without saying if you're staying in a hostel. I can't fault the place overall though and enjoyed my stay in Sacramento.

The owner was so sweet and always made sure we were taken care of. The other house guests are from all over so to have such an eccentric house hold was very interesting and it was never boring. Great facilites and homey atmosphere, I would recommend this to anyone traveling looking for somewhere quick to stay.
