Europa Hotel

Perfect location, excellent value for money, clean toilets/showers, very safe (everything only accessible via a key card) Staff always available and very helpful (allowed us to store our sizeable bags after checking out Hairdryer available, working TV - with a myriad of channels, toiletries and towels (clean!) Honestly, for the money, it was great!

The corridors could use vacuuming, but this doesn't detract from the experience The outside is pretty loud, if you're susceptible to noise, get ear plugs (obviously this is a San Francisco thing, some nights were better, some worse) WiFi was poor but usable for chatting and browsing. Beds were serviceable but keep in mind we finished each day exhausted, haha - I wouldn't exactly call them comfortable.

The room was spacious, shared bathroom had ample shower cubicles so there was no queue. I love the location of the hostel, it is beside Chinatown which had a lot of food and is safe. It is also within a few bus stop ride to attractions like Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy Field, and Fisherman Wharf.

On Saturday evening, the bar or club nearby played loud music till late at night. I was not affected by it as I am a heavy sleeper. And the other days of the week are fine, and also I believe the rooms which are further inside would hear less of the loud music.

The location was great close to all communications and bus stops. Also it is conveniently located so that you can walk to all sites - downtown, seashore, china town and much more. The guy at the reception was very nice and he did his best to make our stay comfortable.

There is no lift, so make sure you don't have heavy bags, otherwise it is a total torture to carry up them by narrow stairs. Some of the rooms don't have desks, so if you plan to work, make sure you get a right room. The reception officer was very kind to help with the room, but keep this in mind.

I got a recently updated room

lack of furniture and pepper bedding. was given two flat sheets and a quilt/blanket for each bed. no fitted sheet. I didn’t like the late check in. There was nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom nor a desk or furniture to clothes In or work on. mini refrigerator was missing its door shelves. no hand towels were given only large towels to dry off with.

Spacious room with large desk and wardrobe. Also has a microwave so able make food in room. Location is great, next door to China Town and closer to the Wharf those those staying near Union Square.

There was a used condom left inside one of the drawers. Yuck. You can't help but hear the noise from next door strip joint till the early hours but it's inevitable if you google the address. Reception staff was super helpful and willing to look after luggage for a few hours after check-out for free! Would recommend for solo travellers or those on a relative tight a budget.

The location was very convenient for going out for a night in downtown San Francisco. We only realized we’d booked a shared bathroom room when we received the confirmation email, which is likely an oversight on our part while booking. The convenience, friendliness of staff, location, and parking all made this well worth the very affordable price even if it wasn’t a classic generic chain hotel.

Some members in our party did not appreciate the shared bathrooms we accidentally booked. There were no specific issues with the bathroom, just that it was shared.

I liked the room and the building.

Didn't like it when I was told that the Hotel did not accept cash and that I will have to use my credit card. I've always paid cash at checkout with other hotels. My credit card had enough charges on it already. That really rubbed me the wrong way. Didn't have any towels the entire stay. Base birds, doors, and furniture needs to be washed down. The floor was very clean.

I absolutely loved the location of the Hotel!! The hotel staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is right smack in the middle of night life! the music plays all night, it’s fun and exciting, it’s touristy! there’s tons of restaurants, china town is right across the street, there’s so much to do within a 15 min radius! I loved my whole experience at this hotel My family and I stayed for 6 days and we enjoyed every minute there! we weren’t bothered by anyone the bathrooms were extremely clean, they actually get cleaned like 3 times a day! The bus stop is right smack in the front, a taco restaurant that’s delicious right next to it, I could go on and on, our room had a small fridge microwave big tv, but most of all was crazy inexpensive!!!

I mean for the price it couldn’t have been better!! i honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. i will say this don’t stay here if you don’t like the night life , there are a couple of topless bars right underneath so party life goes on until 2am! but it’s so much fun

Great value for the three of us. Bathrooms were fine (down the hall) and the hot water was bountiful. Microwave and fridge were a bonus as was free wifi. We were right in the heart of things. Bring a pillow from home, open the window a bit, and unplug the fridge if it's loud. We slept well and had money to do fun things out! Ps it is up stairs so be willing to climb them. And yes, it's a city with all different types on the street. We found it delightful.

It’s a perfect location to get out and explore. We walked to so many places from here. We love how the location is situated right between Chinatown and little Italy. Pier 39 and the sea lions aren’t a bad walk either.

By day 5 it was a little rough walking up the stairs. But still okay.
