Boutique size with personal feel and historic background. Ricardo and Joshua were professional friendly and efficient and went above and beyond in moving us to a quieter (and much better) room due to a noise issue from other guests.

Noise from other guests visiting for a gaming conference. The location right on the edge of tenderloin is so very sad if you walk one street west

Reception allowed to check-in early (my flight arrived at 6 am and I was at the hotel at 7am), which was great considering the night travel and that it pouring rain outside. Reception clerk was very useful with information on a good spot for breakfast nearby and how to purchase bus / cable car tickets. Gym is very well equiped.

Room facing the back, and next to a service area which had a lot of noise in the morning.

I liked how central it was to everything in town, it was a good location and the staff was quite lovely.

not necessarily the property, but the homelessness is jarring if you miss a street or two.

Union Square is our preferred area to stay in SF and the night we arrived, the homeless situation seemed to be more in check. We had been warned that it had gotten much worse recently so we were pleasantly surprised (for a minute). Thus hotel is a block off Powell. The lobby isn't much to look at but the staff were very friendly. We received a room upgrade upon arrival b/c we booked via booking.com and two complimentary waters.

No food service at all, not even a self-service pantry. The bar/restaurant was a casualty of Covid.

if you wished you had a friend with a nice home to stay at in the city for a few days, this is the feeling you get in this hotel. Location couldn’t be better, away from the “dark” side of the city steps away from the bright Union sq. If shootist your thing all major luxury brands are less than five minutes away. Super comfortable, clean and modern with the warmest staff. Maria at the front desk told us all the good spots to see and the restaurants we should visit in 5 min without even asking! Safe private garage literally a few meters away if you have a vehicle. We stayed in suite 904 which is highly recommended. Spacious and bright. The polished concrete floor, the modern rugs and the minimal decor made the suite look double the size. Every single day we said a hundred times how lucky we were to book here because I had a worry with all the crazy stories I ve heard about “dangerous homeless people”. I was looking for a hotel at the fisherman’s wharf area which is sublime but after sunset when the tourists go it’s empty so you need a cab ride to downtown. Super happy with the location. Super safe.

Nothing. They even let us check out a couple of hours later, which I know is a subject of availability so don’t take this for granted.

The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. This is a small gem in the city that should not be overlooked. My stay at this hotel was even better than my stay at a larger hotel close by. The tub option is wonderful and the hot water is immediate and on demand. The room was quiet and the other guests were quiet and respectful. These rooms are comparable to other more expensive hotel rooms in the city and a much better value and stay experience.

The room is cozy and has a lot of character that newer properties don’t. Great location if you’re a tourist, but also central to major public transit stops if you’re more comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating to my various sleep-related room requests too; I really appreciated that!

No complaints. My favorite hotel experience this year. Will definitely be back.

The location was fantastic, staff amazing and couldn't do enough for you. Yes there are homeless people in the area, was it worse than any other big city - no! I would imagine its shocking if you aren't used to it, but don't let it put you off exploring the area. The room size was amazing for a boutique hotel on union square, rooms where cleaned daily and the bed very comfortable.

Unfortunately the restaurant attached to the hotel which previously you could get room service from had closed mean no onsite food options. The decor of the hotel is something people should think about, its a boutique hotel going for in my opinion industrial loft style. Whilst this didn't bother me, people wanting a more plush design/style should look elsewhere.

Checked in by Kosal who provided excellent customer service and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel has a list of restaurants nearby and in addition Kosal knows the right places around town for amazing meals! Staff are very responsive to additional requests such as a microwave that was brought promptly. A robe and slippers are also provided upon request, robe highly recommended. I enjoyed a lovely bubble bath and had great rest in the comfortable bed. Unlimited coffee in the room is also provided and a mini fridge. I stayed on the 7th floor with a lovely open city view. On my last night Kosal offered a complimentary bottle of wine. I really appreciate the effort to ensure my stay was unforgettable!
