Location was good near all bus routes and short walk to union Square. Beds were really comfortable Reception really helpful

Couldn't open windows, only those in the bathroom. Condensation was on the windows all the time and no fresh air. Housekeeper came every day but didn't dust or sweep the floor. Beds were made but only by smoothing the sheet, my daughter fidgets and constantly pulled the bottom sheet so it wasn't tucked in. When we went to bed the next day, it was still untucked

The staff were very friendly and accommodating to my issues with travel delays. There was a diner downstairs I got a discount for staying at the hotel, and the room was cleaned every day. Perfect for the price and location. The subway was a short walk away and there was a lot to do within walking distance.

The only complaint that I had was that the shower head was a bit leaky so I could hear it dripping at night. The beds were a bit thin but still very comfortable.

Perfect location near Union Square, with many restaurants and bars nearby. Just right on the " good" side of the border with Tenderloin. Close to public transportation. Discount obtained to get breakfast in a restaurant next to the hotel. It is a safe hotel with a controlled/monitored entrance. The staff was amicable all the time.

It might not be quiet at night, but it is because of many things going on the streets, not the hotel itself.

Staff were very nice and helpful! Short walk to BART Station, so easy to get to/from airport. Located really close to Union Square with Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, etc. Easy to get around San Francisco by taxi or using the bus/train. It was nice that there was a diner connected to the lobby.

I’m pretty picky - my dislikes: shower temperature setting, the light bulbs in the main room were too bright, the bathroom ventilation

Amazing location in a decent neighborhood. The room was very small, but it was clean, had fantastic opening windows, and had everything needed. The staff were super friendly and were willing and able to help at all opportunities.

There wasn't anything I specifically disliked, but there are some things to keep in mind. The room doesn't come with a micro fridge or a microwave, and has limited electricity outlets. The wifi was also rather slow, but it was still more than fast enough to stream at 1080p.

Convenient location to union square. Every staff member was very nice and helpful, they gave me a reduced parking $30/overnight in/out provides. Clean room, housekeep daily! The hotel was quiet but the streets of SF activities you can hear (I had a room facing the street) but nothing earplugs can’t fix. Good price for SF

Wish they had bottled water. The temperature of the room is not adjustable, it was super hot my last night had to open the window thus the street noise.

Likes: convenient Location. Super close to union square, which was a few minute walk. And then to get to the piers or the golden gate bridge was an easy bus ride (maybe 10-15 minutes). Dependent on traffic though. Overall pretty close to all main touristy attractions! The room was clean, simple, & comfortable. I also didn’t need to much, was out most of the day and really just needed a comfortable place to sleep. Safety: The location wasn’t the best but also not the worst? I never felt unsafe, and was still able to walk to nearby places. Once you get into union square, which is like a 5 min walk, the area starts to become a tad nicer. And friendly, helpful concierge!

Dislikes: could hear right through the walls, but my sound machine helped with this at night. Would definitely recc either that or ear plugs. Also was kind of a tight space, but i’d imagine anywhere in the city would be similar!

The people at reception were so kind to me and even held my bags behind their small desk for the day so I could attend a work event without hauling my bag around. My room was no-frills, but sufficiently clean and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated that the hotel was close walking distance to multiple public transit options. I didn't get a chance to check out the old-school diner downstairs unfortunately, maybe another time!

The neighborhood is a little sketchy as it is on the border between Union Square and Tenderloin. I'm not sure I would stay here for a longer relaxing vacation, but this hotel is a great affordable choice for an overnight stay.

This is an efficiently run hotel. We were able to leave our bags before check-in time. The room was small, but adequate. The hotel has many of the original features and so it has quite a lot of charm. It is a short walk to Chinatown, BART station, and the MOMA. The diner connected is a throwback to the mid-20th c and also very convenient.

The floors were a bit dusty. I would have liked to have facial tissue available in the room.

The hotel is conveniently located for many transport connections, it’s just down the road from union square. The room was basic but comfortable. We didn’t spend much time in the room anyway. Comfy bed, tv controller Didn’t work but not the end of the world. Bathroom was a bit small but functional. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating, also holding our luggage after checkout to allow us to explore more before our evening flight. Definitely recommend pinecrest diner for breakfast just down the road. It gets busy though, but we didn’t have to queue. Hotel was basic but half the price of other hotels it’s understandable. SF is expensive.

Would have been nice to have a water kettle or a little fridge in the room included in the price to allow us to have a hot drink in the room as we wake up.
