The proximity to Sequoia National Park and to eateries and cafes made this motel a good choice for our stay. The amenities available in this motel were more than expected. The room quality was also great.

There was a gas cylinder behind our room which was probably leaking some gas. The smell of this gas (natural gas) filled our room while we were out on the first day of our trip. Upon returning, we noticed the smell and it made us very uncomfortable because we felt unsafe. The room's windows were all closed so don't know how to gas leaked into the room. This smell stayed in the room for the complete duration of our stay.

What a comfortable and friendly atmosphere and environment. You don't get a holiday Inn here, you get Americana and the setting, which is beautiful and inspiring. Stretch your legs and walk the path to the river, set in the field, and experience a Sierra Nevada mountains sunset and sunrise. Go for a swim in the well maintained refreshing inground pool. Bring a hibachi grill, run into the town butcher, and do up some burgers or steaks. Quiet. This is the place that can't match the big chains because it exceeds at all they can't compete with. Affordable and your best option in the area... we've stayed at a few. Clean rooms, quaint, and care. My advice is to go with the Ranch!

Everything. We read the reviews, and those who complained about anything are those who need to fork over the $300 for a cube experience at a high dollar option, and they'll still find fault with something.

I arrived just before 10:00 p.m. which I also mentioned while booking the hotel. The staff was very courteous and attentive to this details. They kept in contact with me through Booking.com and explained me with clear instructions that office will be closed and where I could find my keys, where my room is located and all other details to avoid any challenges not only with my stay but also the purpose of my stay which was to visit the Sequoia National Park. The room was relatively clean and hygiene was not a major concern. Basic toiletries were also provided. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker with 2 x de cafe and 2 x coffee capsules plus creamer sugar. Make sure you bring water bottles with you and some snacks specially if you are arriving late. The whole areas closes after 8:00 p.m. or maximum 9:00 p.m.

In my opinion it was a very cozy facility. I stayed with my child with special needs and it fitted him perfectly fine too! There were two armchairs along with a coffee table, a coffee and a mini-refrigerator in our room. There was also a possibility to have a connection with the other room next to us within our house. Per my understanding each room is located in a separate house or two rooms in one house. It was especially helpful as we didn’t seem to bother any neighbor guests as my child may get very noisy. There’s a pool in the premises and a laundry available too. Absolutely beautiful landscape nearby would attract any person. There’re recreation places very close to the facility. The room along with the linens were clean. The houses were wooden and slightly aged, but in my opinion it only added to the comfort and a specific atmosphere of the stay. My Little one enjoyed visiting the barn with animals! The staff was super friendly! During our check-in we’ve got an envelope with a very useful information on the local weather conditions, the detour route to Sequoias park and the plan of the premises. The route to Sequoias park was super helpful, as preciously my google map got me to a road which didn’t exist on a private property. There was even a sign saying that my google gps was wrong and that I should turn around and seek another route.

It is not something I didn’t like but it may be good to keep in mind. The storage space for any belongings within the room is a bit limited.

We didn't arrive to our motel until a few minutes before the front desk closed at 9:00pm. The lady at the front desk had an envelope made up with our room key in it and was about to place them outside of the office for us. I thought that was so nice knowing this. We had been in Sequoia National Park all day and it took us a lot longer to get down from the top and at one point they had the road blocked to remove a wreck. We had no cell service to let the motel office know that we would be late. The rooms were clean and had the basics for our stay. What a beautiful surprise when we woke up and saw sheep. goats, and a nice river running behind the place. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved this place and wish we could have stayed longer. Delightful staff. We were given one of the cottages so had a kitchenette which was great to make breakfast and drinks. Lovely pool with loungers which was nice for a cool off swim and relax after a long day of driving. Beautiful hummingbirds, stunning views. Easy access to Sequoia Park the following day.

A little bit dated and some of the mugs were cracked etc but just a small thing and you could argue it added to the character!

The lady at the front desk for check-in was super friendly and helpful (and very LGBT+ friendly too!). The motel is exceptional value for money and exceeded my expectations. The hummingbirds and wild turkey are fun to watch. Lovely peaceful grounds with a decent sized pool. Great location in Three Rivers - with the main sights around 1hr drive into Sequoia. Three Rivers has everything you need from good coffee shops and Quesidilla Gorilla food van was fantastic. Free parking right outside our room. Daily cleaning of the room and fresh sheets/towels - didn't expect this for the money and didn't receive this at much more expensive hotels - so a very nice surprise. I would 100% stay here again and fully recommend it.

Glasses in the room were all plastic and wrapped in plastic - understand this is for Covid19 but totally unnecessary!

We couldn’t be happier with our stay here. On arrival we were given maps of the local area and of Sequoia park which were extremely useful, along with this we were also given a list of the local amenities which made planning our days much easier. The room had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. Parking was easy, there was a lovely pool (which we wish we had time to use!) and we made use of the onsite laundrette which was very good value for money. Would highly recommend Lazy J if wanting to visit Sequoia park or even just for a relaxed stop on the way to somewhere else.

This property was amazing. Excellent room in detached buildings. Easy car access. Lovely swimming pool. Gorgeous property of ranch with friendly animals, in a valley with expansive view of mountains and fields. Access to swimmable river along peaceful path through beautiful landscape. We didn't expect any of this, and were so pleasantly surprised. One of the best stays of our 6-wk cross-country road trip. Fantastic value. Oh, and fresh local fruit from the front desk! And very convenient location to access National Parks and stores/food in town.

We wish our stay were longer.

We stayed in Lazy J for two night while visiting Sequoia NP. It has great location close to Three Rivers, but in quiet area (although just by the roadside). Owners are very friendly and helped us before our visit to Sequoia. There is small pool at the ranch, some farm animals and lots of hummingbirds. Ranch consists of small cabins with parking spot for each one. There are beautifull views at the ranch and while walking to the close-by river.

No breakfast option and no place in the room to prepare one.
