Holiday Inn St. Augustine - Historic, an IHG Hotel

I'd had a less than ideal experience during my stay and was frustrated that the staff wasn't helpful. Later, I got a phone call from the new property manager and resolved my experience in a way that worked for both of us. I appreciate the personal outreach and understand that things happen out of our control, but his offering a solution to fix what could be fixed. Now I recommend the property! Good service goes a long way.

Property was very welcoming and even included a note in the room to my child….We unfortunately didn’t get to try the restaurant so I can’t comment on that but pool was relaxing, rooms were clean and blankets and sheets were inviting not one of those gross unwashed comforters …This property does not have free breakfast but McDonalds , a coffeehouse and Dennys were all within a very short walk….We also enjoyed walking a couple blocks to the local ice cream shop St.Augustine’s Scoop and give that place a 10 out of 10

The room was very clean! I really liked the pleasant smell when we entered the room. The mattress (queen bed) was very comfortable, and the sheets were white, clean, and very soft! There were two different pillows (soft and firm) provided. The AC was new. Breakfast was pretty good, but it's not free ($14). Additionally, there is a parking fee of ($20) per day. The location is very good - not far from the city center. I will definitely stay again!

Very disappointed they charged $18 per day per car for parking. As expensive as it was and huge parking lot I felt the least they could do was include 1 car per room! Chairs in room were truly gross. I wasn’t comfortable sitting on them even. Cloth and so dirty. Breakfast was ehhh. Undercooked bacon, yucky eggs…but good pancakes and cold options. “Bar” did last call at 9:15 Friday night. Seems a bit early for weekend crowd. Bed was very uncomfortable. Could use a pillow top or upgrade.

I thought from the online description that the hotel was right downtown. It was right across from a Welcome Center with a trolley, but that was about $35/person. I wanted to be able to stay downtown and just walk. The picture on the website is misleading. The hotel in the picture looks like a historic building with lots of character. This hotel was nice but had none of the historic flavor. The website also said nothing about the $18 parking fee at the hotel.

We liked that our Pet was allowed in our room. We used the Refrigerator in room. We enjoyed the Large Pet walk area outside with lighting, pet waste disposal, closeness to the parking lot and exit of hotel.

Price of parking. Pool was open but even the hot tub was freezing. Breakfast vouchers first day were complimentary for IHG reward member level however breakfast items were almost all gone and at room temperature. We bought breakfast and

The room was clean. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. It was also nice to have breakfast included.

It would have been nice to have had the bedding for the sofa bed in the closet already instead of needing to pick it up downstairs - especially since we had 6 people listed on the reservation. The breakfast was also a bit rough of an experience. Several of the food items were low or out or dry. The staff seemed to really be struggling to keep up with the demand. Perhaps they were short a person that day or something. I’m not sure but it was not the best breakfast experience.

we really enjoyed the location of the hotel. we were within walking distance to everything nearby. the Christmas decorations were awesome. the room was well kept and updated. we were also granted a late check out at 12 which was a convenience for us.

overall the staff was very good including Phillip at the front desk and the ladies working the front desk the morning of Dec 2. and Haley our server at Barnacle Bills for breakfast on Dec 1. however on the day of our departure we again had breakfast at Barnacle Bills around 10am and we had a server named Melinda. she took a while to greet us and have us seated to a table. after taking our orders it was clear she had a don’t care attitude. when we asked for a few items, it felt like we were inconveniencing her. overall the food was great but she could use some work on her Hospitality.

Nice room, The entrance is not clearly marked with the Hotel sign but rather with the Restaurant name. We circled the whole building before realizing it. Spacious suite with 2 queen beds and mini fridge.

No Clear marking of the Hotel Entrance. Didn't like having to pay an additional $18.00 for outside parking when we expected it would be included. Also we didn't realize the hotel was a more than 20 miles off the main drive south to Miami area. We just needed a good clean safe place for the night.
