Lovely hotel. Room was perfect. everything was clean, comfortable, up to date, plenty of space. Lobby had a lot of seating options that were inviting and not just your plain Jane lobby furniture and ambiance. There was what I think was a skee ball game and also paddle ball game. Pool had places to sit that are covered under tiki roofs if you don’t want to be in the sun. Poolside had a giant chess game for kids or adults to play.

only one of three elevators were working on my morning of checkout. Waited for an elevator that I could get on. Elevator came twice in 15mins and was full both times. I had to walk my bag down 8 floors. thankfully didn’t have to walk it up. Self parking is $15/day which seems ridiculous for a non downtown hotel. I can understand restricting parking to guests but it is just a lot not a garage. Also one entrance gate is very poorly placed since you can’t make the turn and be close enough to the machine to scan your room card for entrance and have to get out of car to reach it.

I booked this hotel without reading the reviews! After reading them, I was really skeptical about my experience over there, but took a leap of faith! here’s my review: This hotel is BEAUTIFUL, and I had one of the best experiences ever. We slept comfortably and even made the person I was with decide to change their bed! The room was really clean and well put together. The decor, the lobby, the bar, everything was exceptional. But what really made it for me, or who, is Juan at the front desk! Amazing guest service agent! Super welcoming, and he even remembered my name from a previous call I made. Thank you for this nice experience at The Alba, definitely will stay there again.

The attitude from MIGUEL at the front desk. Couldn’t answer me a question and provided me nothing but attitude. When asking for his supervisor he replied “I’m the supervisor and the only one here”. Disgusting attitude from this individual. I rated the hotel 9 for this reason. Property manager and corporate should recognize a gentleman named KARL. This gentleman helped me with parking and treated me with respect. KARL thank you for making me smile after MIGUEL gave me attitude. 7 hours driving and the last thing I needed was for MIGUEL to give me attitude.

Let's start with the decor...stunning! As a plant lover, the live walls were amazing. We stayed in a king cabana suite and it was beautiful 😍. Incredibly spacious, well appointed, and I slept like a dream in that bed. The staff at check in and at both bars were friendly and kind. I even asked the inside bartender if she could make me coffee (caffeine emergency) and she warned me she wasn't a barrista, but that was THE BEST vanilla latte ever! We will 100% stay there again if we're back in Tampa.

Only 2 minor things the whole trip, so don't let it stop you from this booking. But, the elevators are slow and there are only 2. It was was a sold out night, so hotel was busy, but we waited 5-10 minutes for the elevator several times. No huge deal, I like my husband's company, lol. And the other... The in-room coffee situation. Listen, I'm the type to bring my own pods and loose coffee with me because I know I'm coffee addicted. The room had a keurig, but no coffee cups. Not a huge deal, but i went to use the keurig and it hadn't been emptied after the last guest. Oh, and it didn't heat the water at all. Hence, my emergency run to the bar for coffee. But seriously, only negatives about this hotel. It was a great stay!

- very nice staff - very clean - very comfortable beds - proximity to TPA airport less than 10 mins by car)

- no breakfatst buffet available during the week, breakfast rather expensive (bf meals are rather small and starting at $11 each) - without car you can go almost nowhwere (a lot of busy roads around the hotel)

loved it here! affordable price for what you get. The employees here are super friendly and always happy to help you with whatever you need. the pool area it’s great, they bring in singers and sing in the bar area. really good hotel to relax and share with your family

The AC was kinda hard to moderate and it was freezing cold every night, other than that this place is great to stay in.

The only complaint I may have was an odd smell throughout the halls of the floor I was on one night. Even the best of the best have a minor setback. Other than that this hotel is A1.

The hotel is beautiful and well-kept. Breakfast was excellent with an abundant buffet and a full menu for individual ordering as well. The staff were very accommodating and professional, giving us free waters throughout our stay. They even had a private text messaging system to answer our every need immediately and checked in on us each day. Our room was very large - we had the King with a view of the bay on the top floor. It was beautiful for watching the sunset over the water. The window shade was operated electrically with a push button which was very easy. There was plenty of parking in the lot for our car every night.

The location was great to be near the airport, but we were interfacing more with downtown so it was a bit far.

I enjoyed the energy and live music at the pool. They held salsa dance classes and everyone was interactive. Also the breakfast included was good and a money saver.

It was all good just wished the tv had more options. it only had cable and i enjoy watching netflix and things like that. if i could’ve at least streamed it with my phone that would’ve been good but overall great experience that’s something very small
