From my first call, there was tons of Southern hospitality. Was a bit nervous about checking in via a code arriving late on a rainy night , but system was flawless and I had a phone number for back-up. Room was very well appointed. Plenty of easy to reach outlets and it was spotless. They even had a black stone on the patio.. Betty’s General store (across the street) had an amazing selection of everything. Hotel is on the edge of town but location was great.

Property exceeded expectations so my only complaint is the mirror added 10lbs.

The room was clean Loved the decor, comfortable bed, we enjoyed the fireplace even though it wasn't cold outside,had a full-size kitchen, The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and take care of any issues that arised! (You will not get that kind of service in any chain Hotel) A grill, fire pit and swing we're on premises for our use.This truly was a beautiful place to stay I highly recommend it to anyone!! The views were breathtaking too you could sit on the deck at night and hear the music in town on the weekends!!

Walkable location, good sized room. Shower has excellent water pressure. It was nice to have a table and chairs, and fridge. The coded door locks were very convenient instead of a plastic key I could lose or demagnetize. Very easy check in process, love that it's all done over text. Also super appreciate a pet friendly hotel!

I would have loved to have some basic plates, bowls, silverware, or even disposable in the room. It would have made it more functional to actually use the microwave and fridge. Also, I wasn't able to use the TV apps besides the free roku channel, even though there are directions on accessing Hulu.

I loved the location and the room. Good layout, good TV, nice hot tub. Pretty cool room.

Internet is REALLY bad with different wifi spots. Seriously needs to be upgraded. Had to look for staff to get the password. Walls are paper thin. There´s really nobody on site I could check in or out with. I sent an email asking about laundry service and never got a response. There´s also a round window with no curtain right next to the bed, so I had light coming in at my face 24/7. Hot tub is also on permanently and it´s noisy, there was nobody on site I could ask to have it turned off. Didn´t find anyone to check out with so I just left. Info was supposed to be sent to my phone via SMS but never received anything.

The room was more than pleasant for a pet friendly place. There were no lingering scents, fleas, or expelled pet byproducts. Many places are not pet friendly. They won't even say hi or by to your pet. We were able to sit outside and listen to the live music playing about a clique away. Parking twas easy. The cooling system twas comfortable. Unfortunately, the bed caused us to sleep late because it twas so Very comfortable. The property, itself, is a landmark tourist attraction and well maintained. We appreciated seeing the security cameras. Although you may never need these cameras, it is always nice to have. We called room service because we didn't understand how to operate the television set. The instructions are on a shelf over the coffee maker. We don't really use a television set so it is a little strange. As for neighbours, didn't know they were there until talking with them in the parking area. Lastly, we thank the property owner for not having our vehicle towed away when we were a little late walking back from yet another fab restaurant. I am a self-proclaimed professional complaintist and found absolutely nothing to complain about here. Échele Primó!

We absolutely hated leaving. Driving away, we purposely drive by again just for another look at the windmill.

Excellent room amenities and superior cleanliness. Hot tub in the room was awesome. Great value.

The wireless hub that controls the electronic/ keyless door entries for all of the surrounding rooms was apparently set up in my room. It was an extreme inconvenience when this system stopped working. A staff member came banging on my door and tried to enter before I could get dressed to answer it. They spent several minutes troubleshooting the problem in my room while I awkwardly waited for them to leave. I had to assure them multiple times that I did not touch or move anything.

We don't live far from Helen (hour and 1/2), so we like to go often. Thought we'd try out Heidi. No complaints at all. I like my cigars and there's a wide open patio in front of the hotel to sit a relax. I wasn't stuffed into some corner of the property like some of these high-falutent hotels. The check in process is by phone, so that was a little different, but understandable. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Nothing to report a dislike about. Bathroom might have been a bit tight but the shower was awesome. Perhaps some thought about the deck railings on the large patio in front of the hotel. I think if they were swapped out with something you could see the main street while sitting on the patio would be neat.

The Heidi Motel's Communication, Warm Welcome, and Assurance of Availability from Staff 24/7 was very key. A staff member Ms. Michelle ensured the Importance of Our Comfort. Our Room was Absolutely Awesome. You can see the love and care in this Place. I did not want to leave it; At All. I would have been happy to remain there the whole trip. (The spouse's stomach won.) We are early risers and we didn't even leave our rooms till way past 8 most days. The Bright, Beautiful, and Smiliing Staff just made the place such an Awesome Comforting Retreat away from Home.

What is not to like?

The building itself is a bit older so when you look at the outside you can't imagine how incredible the actual room is. The room was immaculate first and foremost. Very spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The beds were comfortable, linens were super soft as well as the towels and washcloths. We were thrilled to be directly across from the little market and within walking distance of the entire town of Helen. I highly, highly recommend the Heidi Hotel!

The only downside is there's no breakfast!

Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. There was a minor issue with the water due to the city having replaced a water meter earlier in the day, but that issue was addressed immediately after we reported it. The room was as pictured, and we had a bit of a view from our second-floor walkway. The motel is very conveniently located near the hub of shops and restaurants in downtown Helen, but be prepared for a short, but steep, walk down the driveway to the sidewalk. We hiked down and back up several times as we went to eat, tour the town, and shop. One member of our party is 6 months pregnant, and she managed it without too much trouble. Paid parking for the town is also available nearby. We used that one day. The lot we chose was $6.00 for all-day parking. There is a small park with a playground next door to the motel. There was some maintenance to the motel taking place while we were there, including outside painting of trim work and cleaning walkways. That was as good sign to me that this cute motel is being kept up well. It is a quaint lodging, but we wanted that experience. We were happy with our stay at Heidi Motel. The staff were very friendly.

No complaints. I was not expecting resort-level accommodations. The motel is cozy and quaint, and closer to downtown and less expensive than some others in the area. I was going for the old-world feel of the town, and this worked for me.
