Alpine Crest Resort, a VRI resort

I like the resort, the staff was friendly. The house was cozy, and my kids loved the river and the pool with the hot tub. The facility is in a great location. I definitely will recommend it to a friend. I will definitely stay again.

What I didn't like 😕 needed more pillows 😴 to sleep comfortably. The bed was okay, not the best, but you could sleep well on them. But it was not a big deal overall,it was good.

Very spacious condo, large tub/shower, and nice private balcony.

Not easy access to downtown Helen and grounds near river and pond are a little overgrown

Location was excellent. Great views, short distance to downtown Helen. I rented two Villas which we were fortunate to get in the same building and on the same floor. Very good property for large family vacation. Kitchen well equipped.

It looks has though most of the property needs more upkeep. The balconies and main entrances are covered in mildew. Bathrooms could use space to store and hang towels especially since we had only enough towels for each person and we was there for four nights with no fresh towels provided.

The property was spacious and clean. The condo had a fabulous jetted tub and was well furnished with all needed kitchen gadgets. Laundry was available in the hallway for no charge and they provided detergent and dryer sheets. DVD player was provided in living room so bring some movies. Bring your own shampoo and soap. There’s a path leading directly to town if you park down by the pool so you don’t have to hike back up the hill when you come home. Clubhouse has a pool table, indoor pool with huge spa, health club and sauna.

Noise from adjoining units is quite loud. Be prepared for a very steep drive up and watch carefully for other cars.

There is a stairway right down into the river which we didn’t notice until checkout (on Sunday office is closed) had we known we could have played in the river more. Checkin told us there was a pool and gave us wrist bands we didn’t have time to go though due to just being a 2 night stay. There are water slides but they were closed. We couldn’t find the walking trail to get to down town so we just drove around to the town. It feels like your in a mountain way up in the condo because of the steep drive up. The jacuzzi in the master suite was nice and huge 4 adults could fit in with no problem! The patio was nice with great views!

Needed updated, the couches were wore out, the mattresses were not good quality, not comfortable, and seemed to crackle every move you made. Needs better lighting in the stairwell outside to climb up to your room. Make sure you read the checkout instructions you must take all your trash to the dumpsters yourself if you don’t drive a truck it’s at the bottom of the mountain so you have to put the trash in your car. The water slides were not open. Sunday Checkout the office is closed.

The place was perfect distance from town! Close enough to get there fast but far enough away to still enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains! We will definitely be staying here again on our next vacation!

The lights in the parking area in front of our building were both out so it was extremely dark out there. The cell service is very poor and the wifi wasn't much better. It was nice so you are able to relax without distraction but a little annoying when you are trying to Google store times and such and nothing is loading.

Rooms were clean. We liked having paper towels, toilet paper, etc. There could have been another dish towel in the kitchen for the dishes.

Twin beds squeaked. Missing slats in vertical blinds in living room & 2nd bedroom. Bathroom sink made for a midget.. The wooden walkways, as well as the outside of buildings are in desperate need of repair. Sorry I didn't take pictures of the areas in need of repair.. Why haven't you replaced the T111 with vertical vinyl siding? It would protect what is there.

The location was great ,we could see all the Christmas lights from our living room. The front desk employees were super friendly and very helpful. It was our first stay in Helen and they really made us want to come back.

The only thing that I could say is the railing on the upper bedroom seemed to be a little loose and made me nervous when my grandchildren were near it. There was also a very loose receptacle at the railing side of the bed in the upper bedroom.

for 3 women staying from Thursday through Sunday you need to be able to get more towels and toilet paper than what is provided. We were supposed to get a loft but did not, but luckily our 4th person did not come.

I love that this property was tucked just behind town. You can skip the traffic and walk or drive straight up to the parking lot behind the shops. The views were incredible from our room and the pool and hot tub were really nice after walking all day. The staff was also so kind and friendly - that really made the trip!

Though it wasn’t a huge deal, the property was a little aged; the floors creaked and you could easily hear other guests walking upstairs and talking loudly in the next room.
