Beautiful scenery from cabin 7. The bed was comfortable. The couch was comfortable. The television was good. Having wifi was good.The staff was nice.

The interior was not aesthetically pleasing. Several blinds were in need of major repair. Furniture was shabby. We did not leave the cabin, so nice furnishings matter. For the amount of money that they charged, I expected something nicer. There was nothing to keep the tubers from coming up in groups and using the swing and sitting under our balcony. That was obnoxious. We needed a bit less of a public area. We had tried to have peace and quiet. The steps up to the cabin were missing treading and when wet from rain, they were treacherous.

Comfortable bed and pillows, quiet. Even though an older motel-type facility, it had been updated/refurbished to be a well-equipped traveler type hotel. Liked the location right next to the river, where there were chairs and tables for guests. Pretty good selection of continental breakfast items. Staff on check in and check out were very friendly and efficient.

The electronic key lock was a bit temperamental, and the door-unlock was counter-intuitive (had to pull up the handle to get the door to open, and even then it stuck sometimes).

This was our fist visit to Helen. I chose this hotel for 2 reasons not realizing there were many more. I chose it for the price and its location next to the river. As a very nice bonus, I didn't realize how central this hotel was to most of what Helen has to offer all within walking distance. There is paid parking all around Helen for those that drive in. Main Street is backed up on the weekend and it was nice to be able to take side streets to our hotel, park for free, and walk everywhere. The room we had was very clean, functional, with a cold AC, small frig, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, ice machine, ceiling fan, plenty of lighting, a comfy bed, a walk-in shower, and plenty of towels. The bedside table lamps had USB charge ports, which was great because I forgot the connector box. I remember the first night was so quiet and the first time my wife and I slept through the night, not getting up once. This was a first in a very long time. Needless to say the bed is comfortable and the AC kept the room cool. We never needed the ceiling fan. Their breakfast bar is open from 7-10a but is well supplied and they keep some items out all the time: a yogurt, fruit cup, milk, or filtered water was always available. The outside amenities were nice, some parking is covered...great for hot days...and resting on a shaded swing next to the river was a real treat. There were at least 5 swings and always one was available. Otherwise parking is close to the units, so never a far walk to the car. The front desk is open 24 hours, so someone is always available. Staff are kind, responsive and informative. Our ironing board was busted and they replaced it with a new one on the spot. Staff gave us tips for the 10 best places to hike and we had time for most of them. The hikes did not disappoint...they gave us a good workout.

What little time we spent in the room, the TV programming was basic. But we were able to watch Shrek & Shrek 2...family favorites.

We had a cabin. Loved most everything about it. The view of the river was excellent. Being very independent people, house keeping was offered but we refused. Staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we asked. We will be back.

People need to be told where to park the vehicles. We had went out for a few minutes and someone came in parked in the spot we had been using. The cabin they were in was 2 over from us so they should have parked there not at our cabin. Parking at the cabins in plenty enough if everyone parks by the cabin they are staying in. While the cabin itself was clean for the most part more detail needs to be give to the windows. One in the cabin we had ,had several cobwebs in it.

The location is super. Walking distance from city center Helen. Good parking facilities in front of the hotel We used the hotel to hike the smith creek trail to Anna rubby falls and other day the taluhah gorge trail. After these hiking these trails we would be exhausted and sit in the benches at the river (next to the hotel) to see all the tubing people . Very amusing sight. And after the rest walk to a nice restaurant . The room was exactly what we need . Big bed . Good shower. Fridge. Enough space for all our stuff we brought .

The benches at the river could use some paint. The door to the bathroom would not fully close . Nothing big . We really enjoyed it stay .

The location was great! It is located in the back of downtown Helen, right next to the river. You can walk down the river and relax or get in to cool off. W enjoyed our stay here, even though it was only for one night. The room was clean, other than a few hairs, the beds were comfortable, the waterpresher was great, the wifi worked good and the tv. The staff was friendly and helpful. I even accidently left my wallet in the room after we checked out and the cleaning staff turned it in and I received a phone call from the hotel to let me know. Luckily we had not left town yet, so I was able to go back and get it. The next time we come back we will definently consider staying here again.

I found a few hairs on the sheets in the bed. The light in the outside hallway was shinning through our window at night.

The Riverbend Hotel and Cabins is only a short walk from the center of Helen. It is located on a dead end street so there is no traffic and it is located in a very quiet area. The river runs along side the property and is a very beautiful setting. The hotel itself has a Bavarian architecture and gives a great feel like the rest of the town. The history of Helen is very interesting and should be read about. The hotel offers clean comfortable rooms at very reasonable rates. We enjoyed our stay and definitely will return to the Riverbend Hotel and Cabins.

The hotel was right on the river! There were plenty of benches and tables to sit and relax by the river and watch fishermen, turtles, and rafters go by. It was VERY close to the main street (1 1/2 blocks) and the hub of the town. Helen is a phenomenal Bavarian-themed town, nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains, with LOTS to do! We enjoyed hiking to Anna Ruby Falls, Valhalla Golf Course, fantastic meals, a carriage ride, etc. All very reasonably priced. The hotel staff were so helpful in helping us get to know the town, and restocking our needs. The room was very clean and well lit (unlike many more expensive places we've stayed at!). It was a very memorable trip!!!

Loved the fact we could walk out of our room and could see the river. Very short distance to go set on the swings and watch tubers and the water. However, the swings could be updated. But all in all, it was absolutely beautiful. To set on a swing hearing laughter, music playing in a distance, birds chirping, kids playing and hear the sound of water flowing was so relaxing. It is also a plus that you can just walk wherever you want to go in the heart of Helen. No driving around being in the middle of all the traffic was a wonderful thing. We are looking forward to going back to Helen and staying at Riverbend again. It was clean upon arrival, which is a huge plus in my book.

The hard mattress. But, everyone likes their mattress differently, so you won't please everyone in this category.

The location was great. it was conveniently located a short walk to the main road to all the shops and restaurants. The area along the river was very nice and peaceful with many porch swings with various views of the river. The room was nice and clean. I appreciated the floors were more of a simulated wood as opposed to carpet, which made the room feel higher quality. Given the price of the room, it was a plus for them to also have a continental breakfast available.

The bed was too firm for my comfort. I sleep in a softer mattress and due to sciatic nerve pain it was difficult for me to get comfortable. I also would have liked a thicker comforter on the bed. it would have gave me an additional barrier to the firm mattress. However, given the more than reasonable price point, the room was well worth the price. Overall the good out weighed the hiccups, and it was an enjoyable stay.
