We loved our King Riverside View Room. King size bed was very comfortable. We had 2 windows in our room. One facing the river and the other faced east down River St and also had a view of the river. We enjoyed watching the ships(especially the massive cargo ships) pass by in both directions and also checking out the action on River St. The room was clean upon arrival. Bathroom was clean and suited our needs. The location is great. The hotel sits between E Bay St and River St. A central location that is not far from the majority of the Historic District. There are a lot of restaurants and shops near by. Public transportation (the dot is free) is close by and can take you to the further areas such as the south end of the Historic District and Forsyth Park. From the front desk to the cleaners to the valet guys(shout out to Brice!), all staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. I suggest asking them for a few commendations on close by bars/restaurants to have to fall back on. We did not and it could have saved us some walking.

Pillows could have been better(hotel pillows are rarely great) but the comfy bed definitely made up for them. Bathroom sink would get backed up when we used it. Not really an issue or we would have let the front desk know. Had no issues with the shower.

We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the river. The views of the river were fantastic! The location was perfect! There is a trolly stop directly in front of the hotel along with multiple restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Tiffany at the front desk was very nice and did a wonderful job of helping us.

I liked everything about the hotel apart from the bathroom.

i feel for almost $500 a night, the soap dispensers in the shower should work.

The hotel staff was helpful, knowledgeable about the area and amenities. My room was on the river side great view. Happy hour bartender was funny, engaging and quick with request.

The happy hour selection was limited not very good and bad combination of appetizers. Breakfast was not included. No fruit out during the day. The room did not have a microwave and why is the mini fridge on the floor (hard for some people to use). Have to navigate (and remember) thru the other side of the hotel going thru couple doors to find the ice machine. The next complaint is not the hotel but the city. Cars allowed on the River Walk 24hours. Loud music from cars and people talking loud music, cursing out side the window late into the night and early in the morning.

The hotel was beautiful and staff was very friendly. Lots to see in the area. Loved the historic charm.

Site said parking available but it did not state you had to pay extra. We specifically wanted to stay somewhere with parking so that was a disappointment. Room service would be nice too. Restaurants attached to the hotel were always so packed and the wait times were insane with empty tables it was a little frustrating. Didn’t really get to enjoy those places had to walk to other spots along river street. Food was very pricey for the quality and quantity received.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. This is an old historic building, but they are keeping it clean and in good repair. The location is great. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was in great shape. The restaurants in the back of the hotel are good, and there are plenty of other nearby restaurants in easy walking distance.

Hotel is on the expensive side. No on-site parking, nor parking vouchers, so have to pay and park elsewhere. We were on the side facing Bay Street, and it is rather noisy at night.

The location was perfect- walking distance to any local shopping, restaurants, bars and ghost walks. The hotel is beautifully renovated while keeping it’s original unique accents. they have an unbeatable happy hour with tasty hors d’oeuvres! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the hotel made it all the more special surprising us with a card and bottle of champagne, so lovely!

Nothing!

River View from our Room, Watching the Ships/Barges Come in & Go Back Out, Historic, Decor & Furnishings in the Room, Beds, Pillows & Overhead Fan Very Comfortable & on Point, Close & Convenient to Everything, Plenty of Restaurants, Etc. on Site if you don’t feel like going back out…

I just felt like the rates/cost was very high…& especially for just a 3 star hotel…!
