Our room was very comfortable with great bedding and lots of room to move about. The bathroom facilities were clean and well appointed. The building design with it's wide open atrium and glass elevators makes for a unique experience that we loved.

My only gripe was the parking fee. Considering that when I needed my car and the valet could not find my keys that $40 per day fee really stuck in my throat.

The staff was warm and tremendously helpful. Everyone asked about our stay and if they could do anything to make it better in real time. That's advanced customer service. The valet team was spot on with their courtesy and knew how to make us feel valued, as well. Our buffet breakfast was always hot and delicious in a well kept pleasant environment. Again, the service was impeccable.

Unfortunately, housekeeping left the garbage they collected from all the cans in one big bag on top of the credenza where our coffee pot was located. It made me unreasonably question how clean our room actually was. Needless to say we were hard pressed to utilize the coffee pot after that incident.

The property location is magnificent. It is literally right on the Riverwalk with easy access to all the shops and stores on Riverfront, as well as in the little downtown area. We never once needed our car not to sightsee or shop or eat. The Wi-Fi in the its self was a bit shaky and not always reliable. But in the lobby it was 100%.The property location is magnificent. It is literally right on the Riverwalk with easy access to all the shops and stores on Riverfront as well as in the little downtown area. We never once needed our car not to site seat or shop or dining. The facility is beautiful, very impressive lobby. My kids Kept saying this was the fanciest hotel we’ve ever stayed at. All the staff was very friendly, but Mary at the front desk, was 100% incredible. Above and beyond, service like I’ve never seen before. Totally amazing, I thought she was a manager, and quite frankly she should be. We had a little issue during our stay, and she literally bent over backwards to ensure that we did not leave the building without feeling great about the Hyatt Regency. She is the biggest asset to this property.

Wi-Fi in the room was a bit shaky and often unusable. However, in the lobby it was 100%. One of the elevators to head to the pool/fitness or Riverwalk was down and it was a holiday weekend, so those elevators were slow and could use a little updating. Parking to me, at $40 a night, it’s crazy and steep. We ended up parking at the Whittaker parking garage for less than half the price and super close walking distance to the hotel. So I recommend pulling up dropping off all your luggage and then parking your car at the Whitaker garage especially if you’re not gonna need it the rest of the weekend. The Hyatt should really consider lowering their valet overnight fee to a more reasonable amount… 25 bucks is fair more than that is ludicrous. It’s not NYC OR SAN FRAN

The valet staff was EXCELLENT! Because one of us has health issues that require us to travel with medical equipment, it was wonderful to have willing and attentive staff members to assist with our luggage and belongings. The room was spacious and well-appointed for the most part. We stayed here 30 years ago and remembered it being lovely and really convenient to the waterfront. Our memories held true, and it was helpful to have River Street access via an elevator without navigating stairs.

We were not told in advance there was a $40 overnight parking fee, which was an unpleasant surprise. What was already an expensive hotel for us, became REALLY expensive! The front desk person, though efficient, was somewhat flippant/annoyed with our basic questions, and our least favorite person at the facility. Why bother to put a coffee maker in the room if you can't provide real milk or cream? 1 packet of crappy powdered creamer and only dark roast coffee pods doesn't make the cut in a semi-luxury hotel facility, when fresh coffee in the lobby isn't available until 8AM.

The check-in process and staff were amazing- very helpful, friendly and went out of their way to help us get rooms next to our family members, who we traveled in with. The location of the hotel is perfect, it is central to everything. The lobby was beautiful and the convenience to everything in the city was perfect. The AC In The room was ice cold and bed was comfy.

The bathroom was not as clean as I would expect from Hyatt. The bathroom door had not been wiped down… maybe ever? The towels were falling apart - threads/strings hanging off all of them. This seems like an easy fix. Needed cream/sugar for coffee machine. Other than these minor flaws, I had a very nice experience and I would 100% stay again

The location was convienant but it was a little loud with the large ships going by at night as we had a room overlooking the river. The staff was very helpful with our concerns and got us into a second room.

The first room we were given had. Mold and ceiling issues, small section of base board missing, shower drain popping up, a/c thermostat had been replaced but had a hole left from the previous setup. Ceiling and one wall had been repaired but looked like a Hodge-podge of repairs done by several different individuals. .

The hotel more than met my expectations. The staff was awesome, real southern hospitality. They truly know and understand customer service. From the time we arrived the valet staff made you feel welcomed and special. The rooms are beautiful and the bed sleeps like a dream. I like the upscale products used in the bathroom. I also loved the fact that we could walk almost everywhere we went. The outside dining is fabulous! Hats off to the front desk! We look forward to staying there again. Oh, the food is really good.

I really don't have any complaints.

Hotel is perfect for those of us who are older and can't walk long distances. You can access River Street from the hotel and many bars and restaurants.

Our original room had an issue but the front desk moved us to another room with very little fuss. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful.

Location was great.

Staff were great, but room service did not visit our room. We had to call to get towels and have trash taken out for our second day, and we couldn’t get through to anyone for some time. I finally got some towels from cleaning staff that were cleaning the room next to us. In general it seemed that the staff was overwhelmed and there was a bit of miscommunication. They later sent someone to bring me towels. And a minute after he left, another person came to bring me towels again. The second didn’t know someone had already come.

The management was great when we brought a concern to them, especially Andrea, she went above and beyond what needed to be done to keep guests happy. The staff at the bar for the most part was friendly but a little understaffed for the holiday weekend, the breakfast buffet was amazing!! The location was ideal and super clean!! The valet parking staff was super friendly and kept things lively while waiting for your car.

The bar was understaffed for the St. Patrick's weekend and a lot of the housekeeping did not speak English so getting extra towels was often hard for an extended stay. There was often miscommunication between team members and some staff didn't follow directions properly when instructed to do something verbally over the phone by myself but it was quickly resolved by management
