Location was very convenient. We literally walked everything. Hotel is close to everything. Bus outside the hotel and the L (Diversey stop) is about 8 minutes walk. Room was very spacious. Comfortable beds. Lots of restaurants close by. Loved the Original Pancake House for breakfast. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to temporary park in front of the hotel and drop off our bags early before returning our rental car downtown. This way we were able to spend a little time downtown without dragging our bags around with us. I would definitely stay here again.
Just some minor things... There was a very noisy ice machine right outside our door. Luckily there were earplugs provided by the hotel as they did help block out the noise (including street noise). The door to our room rattled a bit due to being an older building. The room could really use some extra night stands on both sides of the queen beds, as I had nowhere to put my things next to me (e.g. drink, glasses, phone etc.) I am a bit resourceful so I ended up improvising something myself.

The property is centrally located in Lincoln Park. There were lots of stores and restaurants nearby., including several good breakfast places and a fun Stan’s Donuts . Additionally, the rooms are spacious and the beds were really comfortable - they were on a bed frame just like you have at home (you could actually lift the bed skirt and look under the bed ) rather that just an elevated wooden platform that hotels normally use which are not very comfortable.
The property is old and needs some structural updating. The single elevator on property was tiny and slooowwww. Covered on the inside with stickers to make it look ‘fun’ only made it seem claustrophobic. If you are starting from a higher floor, other people will get on with you and then you are really going to feel claustrophobic. Additionally, the room doors were a very weird design from the 1950’s and had just been painted over. These things contribute to an overall feeling that the hotel is old and had just been given a surface makeover to seem modern. Finally, if hotel dining or concierge services are important to you, then the Versey would not suit your needs because they don’t offer those conveniences.

The Diversey train stop was a short walk from the hotel and a short taxi ride to Wrigley Field. We enjoyed our stay. Front desk was helpful and always available to answer questions. If you stay here, you must eat at the Batter & Berries restaurant nearby. It was the best meal we had during our stay in Chicago.
Housekeeping service was only available every three days so we did not get fresh towels or sheets during our four night stay. It wasn't such a big deal about the sheets but wished we had fresh towels. We did go down to front desk to get more coffee at one point and asked housekeeping for more tissues. Air conditioning was great. The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet.

stayed at this hotel 4 days 3 nights and it was amazing. We felt safe walking around and didn’t experience any problems with the noise. Staff are friendly, respectful and very helpful, Adrian and Solomon guided us to restaurant/bars nearby and made sure we were enjoying our stay.
The hotel bathrooms are not updated as the rest of the hotel but they are clean and work properly. We will definitely be staying here again on our next Chicago trip.

Since I traveled alone, the size of the bed was perfect for me. The room was small, but it suited my needs, because I didn't spend that much time in the hotel, so for sleeping and taking a bath was more than enough. Also, the variety of restaurants around the area was amazing! Everything I needed was just around the corner, and the neighbourhood was really calm and nice. I loved its location because since I prefer walking to places, I could go downtown walking (it took me around an hour) or I could use the public transport, but everything was really easy to get to.
Mmm, I don't know if it was just my impression, but I think staff weren't so welcoming. Maybe they could have been a little bit friendlier. Also, housekeeping was only every three days. Since I traveled alone, and I don't make a big mess, it didn't bother me so much, but I think it would be better if it were done daily or every two days, rather than three.

We loved the design of the lobby and rooms. The staff was wonderful.
We had a room facing the street and it was very loud. There was construction on the street, which isn’t the fault of the hotel, but it would have been better to have a room not facing the street. Also, parking is available at a garage around the corner, but the cost of $25 is for each time you exit the garage and this was not explained in advance when I called to ask about parking,

At first, I wasn’t sure about the maid service every 3rd day, but it actually worked out nicely. I was less “disturbed” that way. Too often, I clean up (get suitcases out of the way etc.) before cleaning services come in. It can be a pain. This way, I was able to relax more and just grabbed any extras I needed (towels etc.) at the front desk. This worked fine for one person though. If two people were in the room, I guess the request for towels and the pile-up of dirty towels might get high. For one, I use big bath towels only once, so you can imagine if two people were like that in one room. (Strangely, I did feel a little guilty having to ask for yet another towel or two—altogether, I think I asked for 5 extras beyond the two already there). I didn’t need to do this, but could be embarrassing to some to have to ask or call for another roll of toilet paper—just a thought. It is not really a big deal, but you know how some people can be. I feel bad if folks are not leaving tips though the way they would if cleaning happened more regularly. I was sure to leave a nice tip before I left. I’m not looking to run anyone else’s business, but hopefully with the cost savings, the cleaning crews you do have are paid a little higher than they might be without your reduced cleaning service method. The folks at the desk were really nice, such as an older Hispanic man. I only got one person’s name (George), but everyone was nice.
Not really an issue just with this particular hotel, but many hotels do not have plastic or wax-coated paper liners in trash cans. Just feels weird if you have to throw away certain items—like tissues you blew your nose into or earwax cleaning materials etc. Some things are flushable, but some things are not.

location for a Cubs game couldn’t be better.
the only 1 small thing I was semi upset with was the lack of a microwave. i recognize not having a microwave or mini fridge in each room. I was ok with that. When I went to the lobby to see about accessing a general use or even an employee microwave so I could warm up some food for my daughter and I it was a no go. I feel there should at least be 1 24/7 available microwave that could be used in a common area or at least accessible by staff. Super tiny complaint. otherwise everything and everyone was fantastic. I will stay here again for future Cubs games.

Far from downtown (cheaper), but easily accessible through the L rail. Nice location with some shops, food, and even a Target just a five minute walk away. Comfortable room.
Some things need minor maintenance. One of the main lights of the room wasn’t working and the thermostat in the mini fridge was broken. My milk froze! But really just minor things.

I really enjoyed the art in the building! The beds were really comfy as well.. And Stan's Coffee and Donut shop is right next door with very fresh donuts!!! We took some on the road. Parking was right around the corner (walking distance) it did cost but the hotel pays I belive $10 of the cost
My least favorite thing about the room was the bathroom. It wasn't bad just wish it was a little bigger. The room was a really nice size though
