Cozy stay in a nice artistic neighborhood. Staff was accommodating and allowed us to store our luggage in the room before it was ready (after it had been vacated) because the storage downstairs was full. Nicely decorated and had great showers, no problems getting bathroom access even with other guests in the house. Rooms are "just the essentials" (beds, small table, and a trash can for us) but for the price I don't mind.

The location is good but for those booking, keep in mind it's on the far end of the red line so commutes can be a bit long if that is your mode of transportation.

Great location. Very secure. Cozy beds. Nice room temperatures. Easy to get in and out, and close to the Red Line train. Very cute bathrooms with ample shampoo and conditioner, and hairdryers. Never had an issue accessing the bathrooms when needed. Cute kitchen with plenty of dishware. Fridge was not dirty. Bedrooms are separate from and above the common areas.

I would have loved a mirror in the bedroom go make it easier to get ready in the morning without using time in the bathroom. The walls are quite thin - bring ear plugs or head phones just in case you have a loud housemate. Some electrical issues in the smaller upstairs bathroom (outlet was pulled loose, it looks like).

We did not notice anything available to all for breakfast. The value and location and quiet vibe suited us very well.

Overstatement to say these are things I did not like, but here are some suggestions. Perhaps update some signage (but keep suggesting ways people may contribute to a healthy environment, e.g., masking when communicable diseases are in circulation). Perhaps provide more clarity about what is available in kitchen to all versus what belongs to some other guest. Parking was a little tight: perhaps move the trailer over a bit and mark the spaces.

Easy check-in. I booked a few hours right before I went to this place. No one will greet you in front which is fine because it is self check-in. They will give you a code to get in the main door and your room via email. The bathroom is very clean and the strong force of the toilet flush is what I like. The room is very quiet. The internet is fast. Hmmm, i think I read somewhere in the guest list that it is a great idea if you want to rent the entire place for a wedding or any special occasion. There is backyard where you can enjoy the outdoor area. Unluckily , the parking in the neighborhood is a mess that you won’t be able to find side street parking. I didn’t know about the free parking in this property until I saw in my booking that there is one in the front and two in the back area. Downstairs, they have free coffee, bagel, cereals and some fruits to grab. There is also hot and cold water available from the dispenser. If you like to run or jog, there is a park and beach nearby you can go.

It is not close to the train station so you really have to walk going to the CTA Red Line. I don’t really mind walking but you can just take an uber especially at night.

clean; great open community space for relaxation and meeting others; kitchen and refrigerator supplied with coffee, cereal, fruit, and other breakfast items; amazing bathroom!

would prefer wood floors to carpet, carpet tends to look and feel dirty.

Our stay at the Greenleaf House was great! Even though we checked in at 7PM, we were able to find a parking spot behind the house! Parking street is very busy. The house is very clean, all areas are kept organized and tidy. We stayed in the king size bedroom and it was great.

You can hear other people through the walls, specially if they are noisy but other than that everything was great.

The room was a little musty and the window had nothing to keep it open, so it was not possible to air it out. It was carpeted which contributed to the mustiness. There was a closet, but not hanger rod nor hangers. There were a few hooks on the closet door. There were two shared bathrooms. Both were clean and well kept, had hand soap and shampoo and paper towels. There was also a shared kitchen which had some basic supplies including eggs and bananas.

Staff were really friendly. Room is sorted and has lots of natural light. Bathrooms always kept clean. It's in a safe location and lots of places around. Kitchen is equipped and living area is cosy. One of the best places I stayed in! Definitely would come back again.

The house was really nice but the room was not so clean and had a bad smell, for the price it’s good but the rooms did not have the right level of minimum cleaning/maintenance

The carpet was a little bit old/dirty

Incredibly well done common area, bathrooms were spacious and really clean, location is out of this world. The team handling the property did a great job of communicating.

Because of its amazing location, street parking is extremely limited…
