The bed was super comfortable and the shower was marvelous (I’m a shower snob and now I want one of those in my bathroom 😀).

The area outside of the hotel can be pretty sketchy at night. My husband and I had an unpleasant experience on the night of arrival. It’s not really the hotel’s fault, but it’s important to be aware of one’s surroundings, especially at night.

The room was incredibly spacious. We stayed in a King room, the view could have been better but as we spent majority of our time outside of the hotel, it wasn't an issue for us. I was concerned with the noise as they gave us the room right opposite the elevator but that turned out to be a non issue also. The hotel was kind enough to leave out ear plugs for us but we didn't feel the need to use it as the hotel or maybe the room we stayed in was relatively quiet. The room and bathroom was clean and the hotel was conveniently located. About 5 minutes walk to the Riverwalk and 20 minutes to Navy Pier. There are restaurants around the hotel but they can be a bit pricey due to location of the hotel. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. All in all, a brilliant stay for our first time in Chicago.

Everything was impeccably clean. The thoughtful design was visually appealing as well as useful. The bed was extremely comfortable. My friend took advantage of the well equipped gym. We just felt so comfortable and enjoyed "coming home" after being out and about. Great location too.

The shower was wonderful 4/5 days. One morning (~10 am) I did not have enough hot water. 30 minutes later there was plenty.

Great room with a private feel and a brilliant layout. Big bed and excellent changing/sink area. Daytime front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room service via the TV was quick and a good price.

Rooftop bar is awful. Very expensive drinks and rude staff. Late night doorman was more interested in flirting with girls visiting the bar than helping guests. Bad water pressure and inconsistent heat with the in room shower.

I had a huge suite - at no extra expense - which was delightful. I loved the large walk-in shower. The hotel is perfectly located in downtown Chicago, within walking distance of major attractions (and the subway).

This property was conveniently located just south of the Chicago River. It is a couple blacks walk to many attractions in the Loop, including Millennium Park, The Magnificent Mile, the River Walk, and more. The property is clean and well kept, and the front desk staff were friendly both at check in and in passing. The elevators are secured by keycard which is a nice added security. The rooms are clean, and decorated in a very unique theme, as shown in pictures.

The property was right at the corner of one of the “L”public transit train lines, so screeching could be heard from that fairly frequently, however it did not really disrupt sleep at all. The walls between rooms also seemed fairly thin and sound travelled easily between the rooms. Normal volume talking could be heard next door fairly easily.

We stayed in a deluxe king room and it was great - very spacious with a large dressing room and separate bedroom. The bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean and smelled nice (like, actually really good, not like bleach). The front desk staff was very friendly at check in and again at check out when we asked for parking validation, which took the price of parking down from $55 for 24 hours to $25 (good deal and convenient, right around the corner). Location is very good - close to everything but somewhat off the beaten path. Very close to El station (State & Lake), and could hear the train from our room at times, but it wasn't so loud that it was disruptive to us.

No view to speak of from our room on the 7th floor facing west. Rooftop bar had a really cool vibe but the service wasn't very friendly. We were encouraged to join Virgin's rewards program for, among other perks, a free drink from 4-5PM at the bar, but we felt weird about cashing in on it so we just paid our tab.

Very friendly staff, rooms spacious and clean, don’t miss to have a sundowner at the roof top bar.
