Comfortable stay in a beautiful room, the hotel is in a prime spot for touring and city excursions. All staff were helpful, warm and welcoming. Family friendly. In the room- Enjoyed the high-end showering range. Comfortable bed and furnishings, beautiful views. And generally the whole room. Spacious room and every window has a big ledge to perch on - one of the best features! Full length mirror in the right place. I would definitely recommend staying here. Even considering the negatives.
Facilities- no room service, although there is a restaurant in the hotel. Orders can be picked up but not between 1:30 - 4pm, and dinner closes early. No dessert option. There were no complimentary drinks in the room. Free tea/ coffee wasn't offered (found out on the last night there that there was such srrvice). Safe in room wasn't working. Bedding - didn't feel clean, 1 out of the 4 pillows smelt a bit, didn't use it. Street level noise could be heard up to the 7th floor. The lobby needs thorough cleaning. Dust bunnies and cobwebs in corners.

Three things stand out. 1. the location-- it is in a really happening part of town -- Millennium Park, restaurants, river walk all a stone's throw away 2.the room size was above average for a center city location. We actually got a free upgrade to a suite the first time we stayed (on a weekend) but the regular room we had during our second stay was nice as well 3. most of all, the staff. I travel a lot and almost never see people who are so happy to help. This includes both the bell staff and reception. Also, a note to fellow dog owner's. Many places who allow pets are themselves "fleabags" and do so out of desperation. This is NOT one those places. One of the telling things about dogs is that they can tell if a room is clean w/in 30 seconds -- I have seen ours dive under pieces of furniture or gravitate to spills many times. There was nothing of interest to them in our rooms here -- a testament to their cleanliness.
There was nothing to complain about in the least.

I did a staycation night with a few friends for my birthday. The front desk had a bottle of prosecco chilling once I got up to my room- it was such a lovely surprise gift! All interactions with staff were very friendly and pleasant. I loved the way the room was decorated and the brunch at Fisk and Co was delicious. It was also great that they had complimentary coffee and tea in the main lobby hallway. As we were waiting for our brunch we were able to have some coffee to tide us over!
The only thing I can think of is that I asked for a phone charger (I left mine at home) and there weren’t any available.

The location, the majority of the staff were super cheerful and friendly, especially Mark on the front desk. He is a real gem. The porters were a delight. They offer a free wine happy hour between 5 and 6 every evening. We thought that was a really lovely touch. Although we did wonder if any non-residents had heard on the grapevine!!!
Despite initially contacting the hotel before we arrived to request a kettle there were no tea and coffee facilities. We were staying there for 6 nights and when I requested a kettle again I was told they had all been loaned out. However this was remedied a few days later when I contacted them to see if any had been returned. It was no big deal but we are British and and given the time difference we were awake super early and we drink a lot of tea!! They do offer free tea and coffee in the lobby from 6 but when you are awake at 4 it feels a long time to wait.

Location was awesome, we were on top floor 14, loved the window sit in boxes
Construction going on, finding it was hard as doors push Fisk & Co. Which is the restaurant. They tried to tell me that small writing only gave me two free breakfasts and not three but I proved it wrong with a screenshot of my reservation including three breakfasts. They fixed it. Same breakfast every morning.

The location is amazing - walking distance to many attractions like Michigan Avenue, the river, Navy Pier, the Cloud. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Mark and Drew went out of their way for me. They were very hospitable and fast when we checked in and when I called prior to arriving to ensure everything was set for my out of country guests. There was a bit of confusion with how breakfast worked (ie - there is a credit per room not a buffet) for my out of country guests but Mark immediately promised he would make it right for my guests. His Chicago hospitality was clear and I truly appreciate the customer service - he went out of his way to help fix the situation even when someone else didn’t seem very helpful.
Maybe just explain the breakfast credit to people who are from Europe as they are not used to this concept.

Loved the comfort and the location of the hotel. The room was a perfect size and we enjoyed being so close to everything downtown Chicago.
We tried to order a cheese/cold cuts board and Champaign for our arrival, as we got in late in the evening and it was my husband's birthday, but the hotel could not fulfill this request. Our only option was to order in fast food (not ideal for birthday celebration) or to order something from Instacart (again, not ideal). It is disappointing to have a great hotel in an amazing location in the middle of Chicago not be able to get room service or wish for a cold cuts/ welcome tray for the guests. It would be nice to have breakfast and parking be included in the cost of the stay.

Great location, staff always friendly especially when entering/exiting thanks to Antonio, pet friendly with no fee, 12 pm checkout.
I was expecting a bit more from this property. We booked a River view room and the only way you could see the River was from a window seat that you had to jump up into. The carpet in the room felt sticky and the room seemed outdated to me, even though it said it’s been recently updated. We weren’t given any info at check-in other than the wifi password; they had a wine hour we weren’t informed of and I had to call to get check-out time. I think they had bikes for use, but I only saw a display one. I also never saw coffee or tea in lobby and there wasn’t any in the room. We brought our dog, which I mentioned at booking, but I had to call twice to get food/water bowls in room.

The room was fantastic - really large and light with two huge window areas you could actually sit on - we loved it.
The area didnt have many late night eating options - we would have preferred a place that had 24 hour room service as we ended up being starving late at night after the concert we were in town for and there was only 7/11 as an option.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They could not do enough for us. The room was large and comfortable. The location was good, within 10 minute walking distance of the Art Institute and a few other sights.
When the reservation was made it included breakfast, but this was an $8 credit per person in their restaurant which didn’t cover much because everything was pricey. There was an EL nearby and you could hear it periodically. There was a charge for wifi and parking was ridiculous at $65 per day. The room price was not overly expensive, but when you add the extras; breakfast, parking and wifi then it makes it less affordable.
