The staff was amazing! The food from The Station Grill and some of the other property eateries was fresh and perfect each time we ordered. Getting needed toiletries was as simple as calling the front desk, and none of the staff seemed irritated at the request. Additionally, the hourly lobby shows on the ceiling were fun, and our daughter loved them. The hotel is also conveniently located in regard to local attractions, and the architecture of the building is something you don't want to miss seeing.

The general mills convention attendees...nothing but rude. That's not something the hotel can control, but it did make the trip a bit less enjoyable. I wish the outdoor attractions were covered more to keep out rain. Lots of leaks in the area with the glass ceiling.

Parking was easy to access and attendants were personable. The Aquarium gave us a discount on the parking since we purchased general admission tickets, so parking was only $5 a night. The room was clean and comfortable - we had four people in our party and it was plenty roomy for all of us. Our room was on the first floor. We ate dinner (we ordered take out from Maggiano's Little Italy) on the patio outside our room. The weather was pleasant and cool. We chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel.

I can't think of anything that could have been better. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

The location is awesome and there is the most amazing Koi pond out back.

We were unable to check in on time even though we arrived early. They were, however, inundated with 100s of Pearl Jam fans all trying to check in at the same time. Also, our room, though cleaned, didn't have facial tissues or toilet paper and I tried calling the front desk for replacement. Unfortunately for me, they didn't answer the phone and I had to stand in the check-in line again to get the needed items.

The whole place was beautiful, the dining and drinks down stairs was amazing. It has a lot of charm. And the "shows" that went on, on the ceiling, was really cool. It was an experience I think everyone should try at least once.

The room was really small. I expected more for the price I paid. Evening drinks and food were expensive. You don't even have to be a guest there to partake on the evening food and beverages. I would think that if you spend $300 + for a room that stuff should be included. Also you have to pay more to get a free breakfast, which I did but we slept in too late and did not have time to get the breakfast so that was disappointing. The garden view room was a joke, you could not see anything but a glass ceiling, that also cost more. To sum it up, I will not pay to stay here again but I would go for the ambiance.

Very clean, quiet, comfortable rooms—enjoyed the many activities on the premises. Loved proximity to the aquarium, Hall of Mirrors, and other activities.

Only two hotel employees on the desk to conduct check-in at 4:00pm. check in was very slow. At check out, clerk told us we owed for breakfast. Showed her the hotel confirmation that stated “breakfast included”. Not certain that the charge was deleted, as we were not able to get a copy of the bill. Valet in and out parking procedures not clearly explained. We were disappointed that weddings prevented us from being able to enjoy the beautiful lobby.

the location was perfect! the view from our room to see the open pond area and the restaurants and the decorating. just great! the staff was all very friendly. The bellman were fantastic!

I wasn't sure where things were located, like where we could get breakfast, or a shop to pick up extra toiletries. I did have to walk all the way around hte building to get to the Starbucks because there was a private event in the lobby. There were a lot of private events there.

Unique hotel with lots to do on-site....especially with our 11 and 14 year old. Explore the previous train station, enjoy the lobby light show, walk the garden and water area, feed fish, ride a ferris wheel with Arch views, play mini golf, even go to the aquarium. Room was quiet and clean with a nice size bathroom. Best of all, staff everywhere were friendly and helpful--from the front desk to the parking attendants to multiple restaurant personnel. Convenience and fun with a really nice breakfast buffet and omelette station to boot.

Nothing! We wanted to stay longer!

Staff at Station Grille and Grand Hall are superb. Kirk, concierge very helpful. All very friendly staff. Great gym! So many things to do all in one place connected makes it easy not to step outside of hotel complex. Liked all had to offer as a complex. Enjoyed aquarium and different restaurants.

Few events restricted access to areas. Light show not working. Pool closed.

The atmosphere was amazing here, I brought my three kids and husband to spend a day at the union station aquarium. The fact that everyone there is so nice and accommodating was awesome. My favorite was the breakfast staff, we had the same waiter both mornings, he was super sweet and knowledgeable about the area!

Unique historical building located in the heart of the city; perfect for getting to and from activities. Lots of activities and food located in Union Station. We enjoyed looking at the architecture and watching the light shows. The metra stops close by, making it easy and convenient to explore other parts of the city.
