Staybridge Suites Rockford, an IHG Hotel

The parking was free and the lot was well lit. Breakfast was yummy. The room was very quiet. The workout facility was better than usual at a hotel. The room was clean and huge. The room had lots of comforts like a kitchen, controllable temp without a window unit, plenty of lamps and lighting, lots of storage, soap in the shower, openable windows, real doors to divide spaces. The shared space was cozy with a fireplace and plenty of seating. The elevators worked well. Coffee out early was nice.

Pool was outdated. Our room was perfumed heavily forcing us to open the window. We all slept poorly and had a headache almost instantly. The beds weren't comfy either. We wished there were outlets to charge our phone by the beds. We found the breakfast lacked more fresh fruit options. The shower part of the bath was falling apart and paint peeling. The breakfast on Sat was at 7:30 start which was a bit too late for us.

Very nice staff. The room was very large and clean. Free breakfast was included. Breakfast was mediocre but sufficient. There was a tournament or something going on so the hotel was full of kids and rowdy parents but they stayed on the main floor most of the time. Overall, very good hotel and I’d stay there again.

Needs more parking and a walkway or sidewalk over the ditch from the parking lot to the front door. I wanted to pay cash for the room, but they don’t accept it.

Breakfast was pretty good. We stayed 2 nights and got a different breakfast each morning. The hotel was quite full, so we had an accessible room although we didn't strictly need that type of accommodation. We liked how big the shower was, and we put up the ironing board in the huge bathroom to serve as extra counter space for our ginormous toiletries kit. It was nice to have a full size fridge for our travel food. A staff member kindly dropped what she was doing on our last day to fill our cooler with ice. Our 11-year-old was comfortable sleeping on the couch in the king suite. The room was quiet and temperature was comfortable for our stay. I loved being able to open the window to get fresh air.

There were several knots of long hair floating around in the swimming pool, which was gross. Also, it was a good thing that we brought our own beach towels to use poolside. Of course, the hotel has towels in the pool area, but as bigger people, we prefer our towels to wrap all the way around. I was expecting that, so no biggie. But the shower in our room allowed a lot of overspray under the shower curtain, so we used one of our beach towels on the floor to keep the floor from becoming a lake.

The property was fine . Just some guest were very rude and racist to my children including a grown man who tried to intimidate my children . Very uncomfortable situation and to they really thought they Behavior was acceptable.

Breakfast was terrific and our room served us well! The staff all through the hotel was courteous, friendly, and happy to help.

The pool temp was a little cool! The area around the pool was slippery because of the type of flooring.

Breakfast was awesome,was able to do laundry for free and they have social time and the pantry for snacks

Breakfast too early sometimes.some people want to sleep in and eat like 10 or 11.also me and hubby were disappointed we couldnt lock our bedroom door for privacy at night so the kids can't walk in

Our cable on our tv would not stay connected. I think our bed box spring may have been broken.

Location great, breakfast better than most that offer the same style of breakfast. Laundry facilities for guests exceeded expectations. Location was very close to a lot of old haunts the we revisited, all of them as good if not better than we remembered.

Pool was disappointing. Brief wade then back to the room to shower off the odor. The spa was in disrepair. But then again we didn't choose this hotel for a splash in the pool.

The entire staff are so accommodating and kind. The amenities are well worth the price. And our biggest surprise was the evening social ! Breakfast was more than what we expected also. It is a fabulous place to stay.

We have no complaints, for us everything was wonderful

The room was very spacious. The kitchen had all the needed items like pots and pans for cooking. Tupperware for microwaving food.

TV looked outdated, and some blemishes of poor workmanship in the bathroom.
