It's close to many fast food places and restaurants and also not too far from walmart and other stores. The staff is very friendly and they get you to your room quickly. The room was comfortable, beds were soft and the AC/heat worked great. The TV was nice and big and the cable connection was strong. There was plenty of space in the "kitchen" area to put your groceries, the fridge was the normal mini fridge size, but it keeps the food nice and cold and actually keeps your frozen items frozen. Price is also good, you get what you pay for and a little extra. It doesn't have as many amenities as a hotel would, but it's great if you're just looking for a place to eat, sleep and hang out during your trip.

The Wifi was very spotty, had to use data on our phones most of the stay. Don't know if that was because of the cold weather or the placement of our room because all our previous stays the Wifi has been great. Also the parking spot associated with our room was down a flight of stairs and pretty inconvenient. We ended up leaving the car running in the lot near our room, taking in our luggage/groceries and then parking. It was especially hard finding where the parking spot was after checking in, even with the directions the front desk staff gave us. Even so, this was the first time we had these issues and we'll definitely be staying here again the next time we're in Rockford.

We called ahead to see if we could check in early since we were going to arrive sooner than expected, and were told our room wasn't ready yet. We arrived in Rockford, and decided to see if there was someplace where we could wait at or near the Alpine inn. When I went to the front desk to ask if we could wait in the lobby until our room was ready, we were checked in and had our room key right away! For the two of us, the room was all we needed, and we were comfortable. From that first phone call, the check-in, our stay and the check-out, the staff were all very nice and helpful. We inadvertently left a bag, and the front desk attendant went above and beyond to contact us to let us know our bag was at the front desk.

There were two things that weren't great. First was the overwhelming chemical smell when we entered our room. We had to keep the door open to air it out. Secondly, the carpeting in our room was in desperate need of replacing.

The bed was very comfortable, the microwave and refrigerator worked very well, the bathroom was clean. The desk staff were extra kind, I really appreciated them. I think this is a really good, relatively cheap place to stay. It's a bit of a bit off the highway, but easily accessible by car. A good place for a road traveler to stay, for sure.

The room was nice in every possible way with the sole exception that the cleaning staff use some sort of scent when they clean the room, and I really hate scent. It did not set off my allergies, I just found it unpleasant. I don't think it will matter to most people, but if you have scent allergies, be aware.

Very comfortable and quiet room. The room was very clean and the A/C worked great. We slept very well, didn't hear any noise from the neighbors, or the road.

Wifi was problematic - we logged on fine in the evening but could not get online with any device in the morning. Room was very well equipped but a hairdryer would have been a nice addition.

Our second stay here for my daughter's volleyball tournaments. Very nice staff, clean room, easy access to room from parking lot and close to our destination.

It's just a little outdated, but that's not necessarily a negative or something we didn't like.

Clean hotel and the staff was nice. Food at the property was not available but they did offer coffee. The price was reasonable. Restaurants were within driving distance.

The location had many street panhandlers. Some of the guests arrived with loud music throughout the night. No restaurants within walking distance.

No tv channel guide. Too few channels. To close to noisy intersection. No breakfast.

The room was in a nice quiet area of the hotel.

The shower wasn't strong enough to get the soap out of my hair.

As always, my trip to Rockford wouldn't be complete without a stay at the Alpine Inn. Great little motel for a great price.

Liked everything. Great place and value is awesome.
