Baymont by Wyndham Rockford

I liked that I was given a room on the top floor away from the elevator so we were able to sleep through the night. I liked the quick and friendly reception we received. I also liked the cleaning ladies. They were very friendly at the elevators.

The continental breakfast was the worst I've had at a hotel. There was little variety for a diabetic (no fruit besides oranges, no nuts or grains), the bacon was so salty my husband couldn't eat it (and that's really saying something). We saw the lady when we started to look at what was available, but that was it. The tables in the dining area needed cleaned. Would be nice to get a rate for the room without the continental breakfast and go out to eat.

Breakfast was well stocked. Wasn't a ton of variety but it was very good. Everything was clean, our room and the common areas. The location is GREAT, easy access to I-90 and business 20. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Room was everything we needed and the air was cold! Great price and a comfy stay. Next time we are in the area, we will return.

Hotel was full and parking could be difficult, especially if you returned late. It appeared to us that there was only one elevator but to be fair, we never waited very long, although a few times it was full and we had to wait for the next pass.

My room was very clean! Even little details like corners and under the furniture was spotless! The area was quiet and the staff was friendly.

I didn’t appreciate that the window could only be opened about 2 inches. I was on an upper floor not sure if that’s the same for lower floor rooms. Incase of an emergency like a fire how am I supposed to get out if I can’t leave through the room door? What if someone broke in through the main door of my room? it just isn’t safe to trap people one way in and one way out. It was also a beautiful night I would have loved to sleep with the window open to get a breeze.

I can't say anything really stuck out as "exceptional," but the price was substantially better then surrounding hotels and the room was perfectly clean and comfortable. Lots of easy to grab options for breakfast as well as hot foods (eggs, bacon, waffles, etc), and an easy to access location right off the highway. I'd happily stay here again if the price remains competitive.

Nothing stands out as being disappointing either. I didn't use the pool area or any other special areas if they had them, just the room and it was good!

Breakfast: Real American what I have had in other hotels, full, quickly renewed when it seemed empty. It is cleaned fast when customers are making it dirty. Extra roomspace is added quickly when a lot of customers are going to breakfast at the same time.

What I miss is some things to put on the bread in the morning, like slices of cheese or salami. Now it was mostly sweet items.

Beds were comfortable. Even with our room directly across from the elevator, it was rather quiet. The beds were very comfortable. Large vanity/sink area. Breakfast was fully stocked with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, cereal, juice, etc. Great location right off interstate.

We changed from staying on a Thursday to a Friday and the rate increase by over $40 for the same room. Carpeting in stair areas was old and needed to be cleaned and/or vacuumed.

All hotel staff were very friendly. The beds were so comfortable, and the room was quiet and extremely clean. Breakfast was great with plenty of protein and fruit options. Gluten free waffles were available for those individuals who can’t have the regular ones. It is an older property, and that’s obvious in some of the common areas, but it was far more comfortable than hotels I’ve stayed in recently and have paid more than twice as much for.

I had to stay there due to a car breakdown, I've done a lot of hotel jumping throughout the year and i can honestly say this is the best hotel I've stayed at, very clean and has brand new furniture, I grabbed a subway sandwich next store and didn't want to leave a crumb anywhere it was so nice, breakfast was great- good selections, great staff- really good experience-

Room was a good size and clean, bed was comfortable. I really liked the mirror/light combo but it made the room very bright when my husband was sleeping. Breakfast was typical but not many tables.

Our room was across from the elevator so some hallway noise. Initially booked at a higher price. Checked a few weeks before our stay and price was lower so had to cancel and then re-book to get the lower price. $100 damage deposit, upfront.

Every staff member was friendly & considerate. Pool and mattress firmness excellent.

I know there’s a nation wide lack of labor , but there was room cleaning available some days so hard to get own towels, toilet paper etc. But I appreciated the sign. at the front desk informing of the situation.
