Hyatt House Chicago Schaumburg

The rooms are a nice size. The pull out couch is great when traveling with kids, and having a kitchen was a huge bonus. I also like that this property is pet friendly.

The rooms could have been cleaner. There was pubic hair in our shower. They were also weird about giving us towels. We stayed for a week and on our 3rd night we asked for clean towels but didn’t ask again until night 6. I was given 2 towels and when I asked for two more (there are 5 of us) I was told not to be greedy. When I told the front desk it was only our second time asking for towels I was given two more. The pool was also freezing cold.

The employees were very friendly, checking in and out was a breeze. Very roomy. Kitchen was clean and well supplied. Loved the front door of hotel locked at night.

I am very short...so I had a difficult time moving the shower head that was pointing toward the wall rather then the middle. Also the bedding. The top like quilt was old so the cotton padding made little lumps which could be felt when you sleep. Could use a little brighter colors.

breakfast was great - personal omelet made for us. nice variety of fruit - many options for breakfast to choose from. Room exceptionally large and the layout was terrific for privacy. Bed clean and comfortable. Staff from the time we checked in to the time we left a couple days later, was outstanding, professional, friendly, and courteous.

The staff was outstanding. Front desk, housekeeping and the kitchen performed exceptionally! Despite obvious facility problems, possible short staffing and rude guests(not me, I observed your staff being treated bad)...great people working patiently.

Old furniture in rooms, outdated decor and definitely needs an overall cleaning. Our rooms were clean, but not the rest of the hotel. Sauna is hideous! Smelled like an ashtray and unidentifiable food; molded to the floor.

Margarite was exceptional. she served breakfast everyday and restocked everything needed for breakfast, even washed the floors and served us breakfast with a beautiful smile. This lady goes way beyond her job to make guests happy., She deserves a good bonus for going beyond her normal duties and she even had to put up with rude and stupid people, but she did and while smiling. Thank you Margarite for making our morning a joy! Our room could have really used another chair since we had to eat breakfast in our room because of covid. we ended up eating one at a time. We managed!

It would have been nice to eat together in like a meeting room where guests could sit 6 ft. apart, Going up to our room was ok tho. With these unprecented times, the hotel managed to keep it all together very nicely. With the lower prices we were able to stay longer and visit with our kids who live here, as we are from WA state. You made it affordable for us to stay in your hotel. Thanks

ive stayed here before always a nice quiet pleasant weekend away from home the breakfast is great staff smiles and says hello no matter what time day or night you walk by the front desk. i will definitely stay again.

everything was great i have 0 complaints

Was clean, and equipped with kitchen needs. I found the room to be a bit small, and only one TV. This works with one person but not with kids. I did experience a strong smell of drugs (pot) in the halls. :(.... The staff was awesome and lobby was fantastic. Breakfast was the best! Lots of free coffee :).

Strong smell in hallways, weed. Some of the other guests were kind of sketchy. Kind of made me feel a bit intimidated walking outside. No house keeping at all.

it's not the first time I've bin in this hotel so no coincidence that we stayed here again. the queen suite room is great because of the kitchenette and the separate living room. other thing great is the big fridge/freezer in the kitchen and the dishwasher. bed very comfortable as well. breakfast was like grab and go to take to the room and was ok having in mind the corona restrictions. employees very friendly and helpful, it was another great stay!

i contacted the hotel on beforehand 4 times using email and the app but they didn't get back to me. this was the same with our former stay. i asked for a room with a bath tub because of my back problems but as they didn't get my message i didn't get it... the kitchenette could have been cleaner and there was no shower gel in the bathroom. swimming pool and gym closed because of the corona virus.

I like the kitchenette in the room and the full size refrigerator. I wasn't expecting that. I liked the walk in shower.

Noise above me, kids running/stomping on the floor. A little outdated but understand there are upgrades being done.

They had a good variety for their continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and loved that we had a small kitchen in our room so we could also cook our own meals. Definitely would stay here again.
