Distill-Inn

Didn't do breakfast because we weren't ready in time, went in town before the festival. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were very clean and a great size which gave us plenty of room to spread out. I liked the 'wood' floors vs having carpet. The staff was friendly and helpful with luggage as there is no elevator on the property. I liked that staff could quickly supply additional towels/paper products as needed. There is also a small bar to accommodate guests 'late night' after the town closes down.

No closet/storage/drawers, only a small rack in the corner which did allow to hang some clothes. Not a big deal as not having dressers made the room feel bigger.

The breakfast was great! The young lady in charge of the breakfast buffet clearly worked hard to ensure it was kept fresh and hot. The desk staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The renovated rooms were comfortable yet up-to-date and locational appropriate.

The reason I gave a 9/10 was because the pool (part of the reason for our hotel choice) was unavailable due to chemical maintenance. However, the desk attendant told us up front it wasn't available & apologized. Slightly disappointing, but overall a very comfortable stay.

There are multiple things that we liked about this hotel. the location to the bourbon trail was perfect. There is also it’s location to Downtown Bardstown and all the amenities. one of the most important things was the staff, Mary was very helpful at checking and then there was the other “girly” Kathy, what a delight. We had such a great conversation about the hotel and the remodel work that was being done, the weather and stories about the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Some rooms were still being remodeled, but the kind smiles and helpful demeanor of the staff made it easy to overlook some of the cosmetic stuff. Breakfast was ok (your typical hotel continental breakfast), but Mammy’s restaurant downtown had AMAZING breakfast’s and dinners! Mary at the front desk wrote down TONS of activities, restaurants, and provided phone numbers for everything we could possibly want (even a taxi for the short ride downtown to enjoy the bands and bars). The beds were VERY comfortable. We rested well, and woke up feeling totally refreshed.

front desk was helpful/friendly. Room was clean. remodeled. Used oak from cut up barrels for coat hooks. shampoo/conditioner bottles shaped like miniature bourbon bottles. Bed was just right. Would stay here over the Hampton which is located right behind the property. Old signs indicated this used to be a quality inn. Working on nice updates.

Construction- smell of paint. Back stairwell was a bit of obstacle with construction materials at each platform. Either doesn’t have an elevator or it was out of order. But it was only 2 story, not a problem.

Hotel and room were very clean upon arrival. Desk clerks were all friendly and helpful. Location good, close to "downtown" Bardstown where there were several little local shops to poke around in. Note that you are not within walking distance to any bars if that is what you are looking for.

No eggs at breakfast; issue for me as gluten free. Lots of (prewrapped) pastries and other options for most people though.

The king size bed was the BEST hotel bed ever. Room was very clean and quiet. Location was short drive to historic district and other things. Front desk and housekeeping staff all friendly

Out of the five nights stay we only did the continental breakfast once. Danish was stale. I love yogurt but not the pro biotics (Ativa) brand they had. Would suggest fresh Danish, better brand of yogurt, and perhaps fresh fruit. Nightstand and lamp on both sides of bed would be nice also

I like the dark look of the property, it’s amazing for sensitive eyes! It had a dark look but was absolutely beautiful. Definitely matches the environment. However, they were doing some remodeling at the front entrance of the hotel but it was so quiet in your room you would have never known they were doing work!

I slept great on the mattress, however my significant other said it was just a little too stiff for him.

The hot tub wasnt working , and that was the reason we chose distill inn. For our 39th Anniversary, in Bourbon country, also tv was very limited on channels, and what did work, would pixellate , twice they were in our room looking at the tv. And once with the cable guy and the problem is in thier whole cable system not just one room,

This was a great stay. The room was very clean and super comfortable. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Mary at the front desk was very helpful in explaining protocol for tornado warnings as we were in one. I'm not used to that at all so she helped calm my nerves! The breakfast was satisfying as well. I would definitely stay there again
