Ogunquit Hotel and Suites

Having stayed at this property several times before we were very much looking forward to our return visit. The property has changed hands since our last stay and we were disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room. We were advised by staff that it ‘worked near the pool’. Luckily we were able to go out onto our balcony overlooking the pool to use it, but not ideal. Cleaning is now carried out every 3-4 days on request, but we only managed to arrange one clean during our 10 night stay. Other requests were not actioned, but we were able to obtain clean towels from reception.

Great location, can walk to some restaurants and the Footbridge Beach. Great to have a big pool and hot tub! There was a microwave, toaster and coffee in the lobby - which was convenient. It's pretty simple but it was great for me and my two kids.

Completely understand the shortage of staff but that was an adjustment to have to go and ask for towels and toiletries. But the staff that was there was wonderful - smiley, kind, friendly. I also think there weren't enough hooks or places to hang wet things in the room. With bathing suits, beach towels and bathroom towels, it would have been nice to have somewhere to hang them to try and dry them out.

The room was large and the beds were comfortable. They have a huge pool and large hot tub easily accessible to all rooms. There were a few cabanas around the pool area and plenty of lounges and seating areas. The motel is near shops and restaurants, although not within walking distance.

The air conditioning unit in the room could use upgrading. The room did not get cool enough for us to sleep well. They over chlorinated their hot tub, causing my new LL Bean swimsuit to loose nearly all of it's color, which was very upsetting. Other than that, it was enjoyable to use.

Dray was exceptional checking us in! Gave us a fabulous room near the end on ground floor. Everything was super clean. I docked it one star, because our room has a jacuzzi and it was totally too old and needs to be replaced. When we ran it, it already had hairs in it and only 2 of the jets actually functioned. It was pricey, but it was June in Maine in 2023. . . . could fly to Florida AND book a room for the price paid.

Jacuzzi in room needs to be serviced or replaced. Only 2 jets worked properly (the others merely spitting).

Large king suite and large bathroom. The pool and hot tub area was very nice. Great location. Beds we’re comfortable.

There was no room daily house keeping. Towels were rough. I had to go daily for new towels and wash clothes. The pool area was littered with used towels no fresh towels unless you went to the front desk. They were understaffed and often the front desk was unoccupied because one person was left to check to see if rooms were ready, clean rooms and get towels out of laundry.

The staff is AMAZING! Incredibly kind, patient and understanding. The property is nice in spite of the chaos caused by Covid. Raghu, Patrina, and Isabelle personally attended to the few minor things we encountered. The atmosphere is very family oriented.

It would be wonderful is the rooms were sparkling clean. The limited staff does a good job with the lack of help and time involved in the upkeep of a large hotel. I can NOT fault anyone and I am very thankful that the facility is truly dog friendly. It allows us to bring our dog to support our autistic daughter.

We loved the amount of space we had, our toddler was able to run around and not feel like he was in a tiny space, we loved the pool, nice and refreshing.

No breakfast in the morning or atleast some sort of room service Maybe some more shaded areas, as there was never any when we went out to use the pool. Guests would leave all their stuff in the shaded areas but not using the area, so we weren’t able to use it.

Proximity of the beach. Confortable beds. Big rooms ! Coffee complimentary at the front desk. Big pool ! The men at the front desk gave popsicles to the kids and totally made their day !!!

Maid after 3 days only. Too much cheminal in the pool changed drastically the color of many of our bathing suits. Humidity on our room despite the air conditionning running all day (friend's room was better).

Staff was accommodating when late noise issues became a nuisance

A suggestion for you to strongly consider. Never place families with small children in rooms on the second floor. Our first night’s stay was interrupted in a very annoying way by a kid or kids running back and forth in the room, 220, directly over our room, 120. This noise went on for two hours despite staff calling the room and making several visits to ask the guests to quiet their children. At around 11:30 pm, the noise finally subsided. This was not cool regardless. Last night we had a different room, 205, and it was much quieter except for very loud guests who were walking around outside our door. It is amazing to me that people are so rude and inconsiderate of others. I’m sure you experience this all the time however.

Very nice pool. Spacious clean room. Shower had great water pressure. Nice lady at the front desk let us check in an hour early. Location was great to Wells and Ogunquit center and close to York beaches. Picture is of the Rose Cove restaurant in Ogunquit. Highly recommend giving it a try.

This is an extremely mild complaint and should have zero bearing on booking here. The TV was to small for the room. Only time it was on was late night as we were unwinding. Hey, if the TV is all I can come up with to complain about thats pretty good.
