Great location, friendly staff, clean comfortable room with nice bathroom and amenities, a private balcony, and soundproofed room. Really appreciated being able to control my own room temperature . Nice comfortable seating in lobby with working fireplace. This is a very charming property and very well maintained.
The only suggestion would be to have better lighting in the room. Tea and coffee are served in the lobby 24/7 which meant going downstairs but state of the art machine with good selection and very clean and well maintained as is entire property.

I loved this hotel especially because of its location so near Harvard University, and the bounteous coffee machine choices in the lobby. The staff was very kind and even helped me switch rooms at one point because of a phone issue, and they were always very friendly. They also provided me with some refrigerator space for some leftovers that I had from one night of dining. Great place to spend a couple of nights.
Honestly, the only issue I had was the expense, but there's not much you can do about that in the US right now, especially in the middle of a major American city (and the location of this place is quite ideal). I noticed that you could hear the red line running down below, but it didn't bother me much at all. I enjoyed my stay.

Very welcoming, clean, and well kept. The front desk staff was very friendly.
No gym - the referenced off site gym is noted as being permanently closed :/ A light breakfast or voucher to a local coffee shop or cafe would be great! The room was super small - not much walking space but well maintained. Love the shower / bathroom.

This hotel is a gem. Impeccably decorated. The staff is warm and wonderful. Quiet, which is amazing given that it's right off busy Mass Ave and near Harvard Yard. The room was perfect. Small, but big enough to do everything we needed to do, including participating in several meetings via Zoom. Would definitely stay here again. This is a tough area to find a hotel, so we were grateful to discover this sweet spot.
The rugs were very worn and there's a banner that hangs out near the street with the hotel's name on it. It's faded and sad and a very misleading indicator of the quality of the hotel experience, which was actually nearly perfect. Replacing this banner would be a very inexpensive fix and would be well worth the effort.

THE LOCATION!! I took my parents to visit their granddaughter who is currently a freshman at Harvard. It was so wonderful to walk out the door and easily meet her anywhere in Harvard Square. This is our 3rd stay at Hotel Veritas! And the staff - so warm and accommodating. Thank you!
I would suggest setting up the patio to make it a bit more inviting. Maybe update with new patio chair cushions. Definitely focus on beautiful pots/plants for the studio. Such a lovely place at the main entrance. I would also suggest spending a bit of time with the 3rd floor balcony - to make it a bit more inviting to sit out there.

I stayed here by myself during a visit to Harvard. Very convenient location to access the campus and close to the T stop if you want to go into Boston. Comfortable room, complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby, beautiful design, and very nice staff.
During the day of my stay the hotel called me to let me know they had overbooked and wanted to pay for my stay in a comparable hotel. I actually didn't see the call until after I had checked in (they must have freed up space), but had I seen it this would have been stressful. Additionally, while Booking.com does say there is a valet fee no one mentioned this fee when I was checking in, which I would have expected.

The location was fantastic for our purposes - less than 10 min walk to Harvard Square. The space was 'compact' but entirely adequate for two people overnight (or a couple days - after that you might want to upgrade to a larger room). We were pleasantly surprised to find we had a balcony with chairs that gave a view toward the pretty church next door. The bed and linens were very comfortable and the interiors are attractively decorated. Staff was pleasant and helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations.
The only issues we encountered were a discovery of some ants (not an 'infestation', but clearly coming from somewhere nearby) in the carpet, although we had no food in the room at the time, and the very bight LED light on top of the television that cast a glow over the whole room in the dark, which I remedied by covering it with a towel.

Staff friendly and helpful. Location is excellent.
This property needs updating. Wallpaper is frayed in halls. My glass nightstand was cracked. My room door had a panel that was warped and separating from the main door.

This hotel is small but very pretty. We loved the Nepresso machine (professional size) and tea choices that were always available in the lobby. Masks are currently required in the lobby due to covid pandemic. We were there when the weather was rainy and cold, but in nicer weather there is some nice outside seating and tables in front of the hotel. The location is excellent for us-right on Harvard Campus. We were not bothered by street noise. The hotel room had a small window to see the street. Lobby also has comfortable seating and a small "business area" with computer and printer. Hotel staff were friendly. Just across the street in Zenneken's Waffles that make belgian waffles that have belgian chocolate and fresh berries on them. Yum!
We definitely knew before making the reservation that the rooms were small. They are very small! Enough room to fit the FULL size bed (not queen bed) and have a 2 foot walk around it. The window was small. To be honest, we spent very little time in the room other than to sleep-it is so small it just wasn't comfortable to lounge around in. But it was clean and the bathroom amenities were nice too. We would book here again due to convenient location, and nice facilities if the price was right.

Everything!! This is a perfect place! The lovely staff were so welcoming. The room and bed are nicely decorated. Very relaxing. They let us check in early because of the state wide winter storm was basically shutting down the whole town. They have plenty of good coffee, tea and water for the guests. Very clean.
