Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Downtown

Loved the heated pool, weight lifting options, deck view, being able to walk around the city, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed.

There were alot of broken things in my room, like things in the shower area, couldn't use the safe, the water pressure was bad and it would get really hot then kinda warm. The room coffee bar wasn't stocked right. I would say also if your renting a room and ihop is in the same building then you should offer at least complimentary breakfast pass for ihop at least 4 guests if you have a 2 bedroom suite.

We attended concert at LCA and the location to the venue was excellent. Your hotel is very good and my daughter and I were happy. Your beds /mattresses need an "upgrade"; not very pleasant - way too soft for both of us. Formerly, I worked for Henry Ford Hospital as a residency coordinator and have used your facilities during recruitment October to February and had great responses - this is why I choose to go with your facility.

The "smell" of the disinfectant or whatever it is you use to keep away the "pests". Other than that - and the mattress issue it was a good fit.

Friendly staff, clean, and good location for walking/exploring the city.

Limited and expensive snacks drinks. They advertised the convenience of the Detroit people mover, however did not mention it was not running during COVID. We visited in July long after the mask mandates were lifted, so we were surprised when we arrived and it was still not running despite Marriott promoting this as a benefit of the hotel. Did not like parking was off site by a 3rd party, however it is only a block away, however when arriving at 1am on a Saturday night most people would not have been comfortable parking the car themselves and walking back.

location was great to walk to game and eat at local restaurants. king suite was nice, the mattress was super comfy and the pillows were spot on! the exercise areas were huge, like a real gym. great views from exercise area. love the market store adjacent to hotel. they have hot coffee and anything you might need.

hot tub broken, didnt know in advance, i would have stayed at a different hotel. missing garbage containers in my room. wished fridge could be colder, unable to adjust it. make sure u have a towel before getting into pool. i liked the pool for laps but some thought it was cold.

Location to Comerica Park. The bartender and manager stayed open late for concert goers to be able to get a bite to eat and that was very much appreciated. The rooms are spacious and beds are super comfortable!

People mover was not working and staff didn't know. We chose this hotel for that purpose to get to the concert. The price was very expensive. I've stayed there before for much less.

The beds were amazing! Quiet & clean but not worth what I paid. Understaffed but friendly concierge’s.

You didn’t have much choice but to pay extra for valet parking & that was outrageous!! $20.00 is very reasonable but $33.00. ODD amount I have to say! No shuttle to the casinos, it was 5 degrees & snowing, spent a lot of money just to sleep somewhere & then get no “extras” very disappointing, can’t say much about the “free breakfast” either

The hotel is in a great location - walking distance to Greektown, Ford Field and Comerica Park. Our room was spacious and clean and the staff was very helpful. The Applebee’s and IHOP were great to have in the lobby and the little shop by the front desk was handy for grabbing last Monique things like a bottle of water, a quick snack or even a bottled beer.

IHOP was understaffed so service was slow but the food was good and the server/ cashier was nice.

The valet attendant George I think his name is....he was so kind to me and I'm not from here. I was sad about leaving bc I didn't want to leave. We had a chat within my final hours because I didn't sleep. I wanted to take everything because if I slept it would've been time to leave. Wonderful person. I'll never forget Detroit and him. I will come back. I loved it.

On-site Applebee's and IHOP. Great location in downtown Detroit. Valet was great and fast.

The AC went out in the first room. Trying to get someone out to look at the unit and fix it took a day where we had to constantly ask the front desk for updates. Some staff were rude and seemed unhappy to be working however there were some who were very helpful and accommodating. We were eventually moved to another room.

The location was close to downtown so our view was awesome. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The pool was not available due to maintenance and our floor’s ice machine was also not functioning.
