It was impeccably clean and a very beautiful building. I liked the Library and the cigar lounge. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and professional. The parking was much better than I anticipated and being right next to one of the People Mover terminals was great. Being so deep in the downtown area, it was very easy to get places. The included mini-bar was great, and we definitely took advantage of the bottled water. Having access to the salt water grotto was awesome, and relaxing in it was perfect to start a great afternoon (and the basement was stunning).

Our room was cold, and the thermostate didn't seem to work to change it. We managed, haha. We had some noisy neighbors the first night, but it was taken care of promptly. Besides that, there were no complaints!

My experience exceeded all expectations. I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the hotel staff, The hotel's grand architecture and elegant interior design immediately caught my attention. The attention to detail in preserving the historic charm of the building while incorporating modern amenities is commendable. The ambiance throughout the hotel exudes a sense of luxury and sophistication. My room was spacious, comfortable, and had tasteful decor created a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The plush bed ensured a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided added that extra touch of convenience and comfort. The location of The Detroit Club Hotel is also worth mentioning. Situated in the heart of downtown Detroit, it offered easy access to various attractions, restaurants, and entertainment.

The dedication and warmth exhibited by your employees were truly commendable. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was not only comfortable but also exceptionally enjoyable. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made me feel like a valued guest, and I cannot praise them enough.

Absolutely nothing!

I loved everything about The Detroit Club hotel. It's the only hotel I will stay in Detroit. It's not a franchise, and that makes a big difference. I love the dress code policy. (Helps the vibes that you're actually on a date or celebrating an occasion) My room was gorgeous with the leopard print carpet (just like the pictures) very clean. The bed was so comfortable, but my favorite part was the blankets and pillows they used. I didn't wanna leave the bed, was like a cloud in heaven. Hotel has antique classy vibes. Free breakfast in the morning, friendly staff, and convenient location .

No fridge in the room

Amazing historic city club beautifully preserved, restored and maintained. Luxury suite corner suite with porch was spotless with amazing linens and comfortable bed. Our bartender in The Library amazing cocktail artist. Very cool and hospitable. Door guy made certain we had coffee and anything we needed in the morning. Continental breakfast was plentiful, with fresh options and mini quiches. Ideal couple getaway or girlfriend weekend. I will be back soon. Also room was a steal when compared to other boutique hotels downtown.

Not one thing.

I liked the breakfast. Lots of options. I don't remember reading that one was provided so it was a nice surprise. Comforters and bedding were awesome. Jacuzzi was great! Blackout curtains nice. Nice air conditioning. Like the historical feel.

Having to ring the doorbell to get into the hotel at 12:30am did not feel inviting. Valet too expensive when lot across the street was 40% off of this price. Not being able to bring our own drinks/snacks in. Shower pressure was a trickle. Only one tiny soap was provided. Snacks left out for each guest to touch and feel felt unsanitary. The view outside our room window was air conditioning boxes.

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The bar had a happy hour on specialty drinks and appetizers that were both delicious! The rooms were very spacious and clean and the hotel itself was very quiet.

There was nothing I didn't like really, but if we had to find something it would be the small breakfast selection or having to use the valet option for secure parking.

The location for the Free Press Marathon was perfect! Early breakfast for event was great timing! Our room have view of the marathon starting- perfect for family. The beds/bedding were comfortable. Room was spacious. Live music was enjoyable. The spa soak was relaxing after the marathon.

Windows looking out were dirty. Not enough accessible plugs.

The space was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were all super kind and welcoming! My friends and I were staying for the Taylor Swift Era Tour concert, upon arrival we felt extremely welcomed by the Taylor Swift music outside and within the lobby. The staff did everything possible to make us feel welcomed. If I ever stay in Detroit again I will make sure to stay here.

Beautiful, loved the old building. It was old but beautifully maintained. The decor and size of the room was wonderful. Extremely comfortable bed.

The lighting in the bathroom was poor for makeup application. There was a very limited number of outlets in the bathroom & not conveniently located. Also, no coffee in room.
