the location was great, we were able to walk to a local brewery/restaurant as well as the tigers game at Comerica Park. The staff members were friendly and the room was comfortable and clean

In photos and online it was advertised that there was a restaurant on site and a fire pit relaxing area, I booked this location specifically because of the beer garden and brunch reviews but we were there in a Saturday night and the restaurant was closed and there was no way to make a fire. in the morning, for brunch, the internet had red Dunn listed as open and when we got downstairs, it was definitely closed, that was the most disappointing part of our stay

Decent renovation but I thought it was new from the photos. Fantastic location and easy to find. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Great view. Everything worked well and was pretty neat overall but for the bathroom.

Old pubic hairs on back of toilet from previous guests. Floors in bathroom need to be cleaned around the edges and in the corner. Edge of tub had a noticeable layer of dust and lint on it. The bathroom cleaning truly needs improvement, particularly for the price. A plastic straw wrapper was peeki g out from under the bed. This was disconcerting. I am going to say that the property didn't meet expectations because of the cleaning issies...BUT, will give it another chance. Help has been difficult to find. Was disappointed that the gates were not closed to the parking lot. The clerk had told us to use our room keys for access, but they were open at least through 3 am.

This is a great value hotel. Very safe and within walking distance to most Downtown points of interest. They also have bicycles you can borrow for free. If you are looking for clean, reasonable, this is the place. If you are looking for elegance you would be better served at one of the big hotels downtown. Staff is super attentive and always available. The manager is extremely visible and is on top of his game. They know the city inside and out. Detroit is on the up swing. Had a fantastic stay.

Liked everything.

Nice, stylish good-sized room. The linens were soft and smelled fabulous from whatever lovely, aromatic detergent they used. The shower temperature was just lovely, as I like it nice and steamy. There was a Cafe attached to the hotel and a little kitchen room with a coffee machine and microwave for guests to use. There was a restaurant attached also but it wasn't open for the night I stayed. There was a variety of food stuffs, toiletries, washing powder and alcoholic drinks for purchase in the little kitchen room.

The heater in my room was a little finicky and getting it a comfortable temperature was a little tricky, but it worked to heat up the room. The room I stayed in had a polished concrete floor which looked great for the decorating style, but it is perhaps a bit impractical for Detroit winter and was very cold on my feet, even with socks. Bring your slippers, luckily I had mine!

Unique and iconic accommodation; convenient location, comfortable place, amazing decor and true homage to the fascinating history and revitalization of Detroit. Loved the interactive welcome poem by local poet David Blair in the hotel foyer ! on site staff: Manager Eddie and his team, Brett, Rachel, Michael and Britney were super helpful and friendly and made a first time visit to Detroit a truly memorable experience! thank you!

suggest the Shower to have support rail for safety for guests with mobility difficulties.

Great hotel!! Staff was lovely & accommodating. Room felt super clean. Was nervous about the concrete (I'm guessing?) floor but it was fine! LOVED the layout of the room. No closet in the room, but the hanger / suitcase base was a perfect solution (and so stylish!). Something I really appreciated and it's so small but impactful - there are extra hooks in the bathroom / sink area, not only in the shower room. So helpful!

Didn't love that the first room that was given wasn't cleaned yet -- BUT they took care of it immediately and gave us another room. Was just a minor inconvenience. Wish that the restaurant attached was open, it looked really nice.

The location is great, very easy to access the restaurants in Corktown, as well as drive to downtown Detroit, which is 5min away. The staff was very nice and always responded to all of our inquiries kindly and in general, was very helpful.

The hotel occasionally rents out the courtyard for private events, complete with DJs blasting music. It's not every night thankfully but we happened to be there when it happened and it makes staying in one of the rooms that faces the courtyard (all king rooms for example) impossible. You can't even drown out the noise with the TV. We also had a toddler sleeping in the room, and the event music did not stop til 10pm, so that part of the experience was unpleasant. They also charge $10/night for parking, which should be included since the hotel is not located in a downtown area where space is limited.

I loved the location and the style of the hotel

The cement floors, I'm sure they make for easier to clean, but slippers aren't something I think to pack and the floors were freezing. Also they want $2 for a Keurig pod of coffee. They charge $10 per day for parking, which is fine, but they should at least put small coffee makers in the rooms (like every other hotel and motel).

I liked the coziness of the hotel and it's location. The room was very nice and clean. This was a staycation about 25 minutes from our home in the downtown area. We really don't get to this area alot and this was a pleasant surprise, a hidden gem. I would stay again.

I didn't like that the bar wasn't opened and that the resturant was temporarily closed. Some of the employees weren't friendly or approchable.

I like the location in corktown and that the parking is free. The rooms are clean and modern.

Perhaps due to flooding this past winter, it looks like the hotel was hit pretty hard. I stayed here a year ago, right before their restaurant opened up, so I was looking forward to trying it. But there is renovation work going on all of the first floor. So the restaurant and coffee shop are closed and the courtyard is torn up. I feel bad for them! And hope they can get everything back to normal soon.
