Location was excellent, we had to be on the ferry early in the morning and it was very nice to be so close. The furnishings and decor were lovely, very comfortable.

Parking was adequate, but dragging luggage and other items around to the front of the building and then up the stairs… a bit much for these folks.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. When asked they gave us great recommendations to get our coffee fix. They had just opened up the bar and they made a drink that seemed like they had been doing it for years. Everything was close by. It gave off a relaxed quality atmosphere which we definitely appreciated.

Staff was very friendly, view was beautiful, beds were SO COMFORTABLE!! Chase was very accommodating and let us check in early. Seems like every staff member went out of their way to make sure we were happy!

More coffee pods in room--we only had two for the three of us in the room.

Loved the style of the rooms, very modern. The staff was also very helpful. If you are staying for a concert at Van Andel Arena or GLC Live, you cant get a better deal for the location!

I would've given this place a 10 but the phone in the room did not work. Also the beds were a bit too soft.

cleanliness, location

room was small, we had a desk, but no sitting area to relax. There was a window, but it looked into a brick area, no view, you could see the sky if you looked up, also there were other windows on the other buildings so the shade had to be kept shut. Just seemed very closed in.

We really enjoyed the restaurant/bar that is located inside the hotel. The bartenders were wonderful. The room was very nice and the bathroom was amazing.

The only problem that we all had with the room was that we couldn’t control the air conditioning. It never went below 70 even when we tried to lower it.

The room was modern and cozy with a comfortable bed. The location of the hotel is excellent and within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, coffee, etc.

There were 2 pieces of chewing gum stuck onto the exposed brick wall in the interior of the room, which I did notify the front staff of upon check-out in the morning. We were woken by significantly loud music through the wall from nearby guests in the middle of the night. I called down to the front desk around 2 or 3 AM to report this, though the music did not stop for several hours after this.

I love the room set up. Our "neighbors" partied well into the night and we couldn't hear them when we were in our actual room. The beds were comfortable and the walking distance to Van Andel is amazing.

We couldn't find the ice machine and couldn't get ahold of the front desk to ask. I know there were quite a lot of room blocks for weddings and such so it wasn't too big of a deal. I also didn't care for the bathroom having a pocket door. Doesn't give a lot of privacy.

The location was excellent for walking downtown and was close to the river, Founders and Atwater. The street has coffee shops and several little eateries and has pretty lights at night. The front desk was very friendly and courteous.

Our room (2008) wasn't what I expected for the price we paid. It was clean and comfortable but the window was way up in a corner and we felt like we were in a basement. It was a little disappointing to not be able to see outside. I felt like that should have been disclosed. Also, we were right next to the elevator and there was an event that evening so it was very loud. It says parking (I think this may be most GR hotels) but when you get there it is street parking or a parking garage (discounted for weekends)

Very friendly staff. The room had a little bit of a strange layout and the largest window looked out at a brick wall. Honestly, for the price, the room could have been cleaner. The hotel was right near Van Andel Arena, which is what we needed so I would probably stay again.
