Everything except the price. The location was perfection as were the staff, and highly convenient. As in most US hotels the room was more than adequate and the bedding extremely comfortable. So, by and large was the food,with a few exceptions and the bar was fine. The quibbles below should not put you off and if you get a good deal, it will be worth it.

The sad fact is that US hotels are now very uncompetitive versus European hotels of the same standard. One other small irritant please produce bacon correctly, ie unburnt without fat!! and if you produce oatmeal/porridge please do not drown it in water.

Pool and spa were under construction and it wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the website that these features weren’t available

The hotel was very clean! Maggie and the front desk was extremely sweet and helpful and well as Kyle who drives the complimentary shuttle. Our room was spotless and the price you couldn’t beat. Not to mention the location is perfect for exploring. It’s in the heart of downtown so you can walk or Uber anywhere!

Beds & Sheets were amazing! So comfortable! The room was clean and cool. This location was across from a beautiful park & river. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff were very friendly. Our waiter, Keegan , was exceptional! ado was another gentleman who may have appears to be the chef and a waiter, i’m unsure! Will definitely stay again!

upon check in, there were 4 employees at the front desk. 3 at 1 computer doing something and 1 working with another customer. I stood in line at least 5 minutes without a greeting or acknowledgement from the front desk.

Close to venue downtown where we were seeing a show. Free shuttle there which was nice on a hot day. In hotel restaurant was good and convenient, not too busy. Hotel was clean, staff were helpful and friendly.

Only issue we had was one of the bedside lamps was flickery. Something they could easily rectify with a new bulb but we were only staying one night.

Very convenient. Was 5 minutes from downtown convention center. Enjoyed walking across bridge over river every day.

Bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but that was not hotel's fault. I am used to a memory foam bed. Didn't inquire about ant options.

The location was great to where we were going and easy on/ easy off freeway.

Checking in the employee seemed to judge because we booked through booking.com and it bothered me, like why did that matter? Our room was the very last one in the hallway closest to the freeway so there was a lot of traffic noise when in the room. Our room was also across the hall from a dog that barked most of the time. I felt like she placed us over there because she mentioned booking.com.

Great Location, friendly staff, clean, loved that they are pet friendly even tho I did not have my own dog there. The restaurant on site was 10/10 for food and value

Cost was high for one night, needed a room key to access elevator ( I know this is for security, but it was unnecessary to me)

I love staying at the Pearl street location! Best value near Van Andel Arena with free overnight parking!

Check in was a little slow, could of used two fully trained desk agents at that time of night knowing there was a concert in town instead of one.

Room was great. Comfortable and set up with the 'bathroom segmentation' which worked sell for multiple people to get ready at the same time w/out being in each others' space. Great view of downtown GR :-) We didn't end up using the breakfast coupons.

No complaints!
