Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites-Saint Joseph, an IHG Hotel

Staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean and comfortable.

Our 3 night stay was almost perfect. The only issue we had was coming back from a several hour trip into St. Joseph, we returned to our room ajar, with the safety lock folded in to hold it open. We saw that we had new towels and toilet paper, but our room was left open for literally anyone to enter for several hours, perhaps? Nothing was stolen, thankfully.

Most of the staff were friendly- Virginia is amazing in the breakfast area. Always has a smile and is very positive.

When checking out the staff were ridiculous. I walked out with a huge cart of stuff- my son realized he left his pillow behind but we had left the keys in the room- (mind you I stayed 4 nights). The staff questioned him like he was a criminal- very degrading and then gave me a world of grief and I'D me. This is all after he gave our last name and address. I get being safe but this was overboard. They enjoyed the irritation they were causing.

Location was awesome, the lake was right across the street and was a perfect spot to watch the sunset... and breakfast was awesome.. so convenient to walk down and eat.... the young lady that was attending the breakfast was outstanding. everything was clean and hot.

nothing really. our room 236 could have used a little attention in the bathroom with the shower curtain.. and the small bedroom with the bunk bed didnt have a blind...other than that. It was awesome

Not far to travel to locations we wanted to visit. Plus got to see the water right from the parking lot. Had a nice space across the street to enjoy the view while relaxing at a table.

Nothing was a cause for concern. I realized my family can no longer all bundle up in the king bed, so that was the only negative I had on this trip.

Whirlpool tub in room was great bed very comfortable Breakfast was great and Virginia the cook did an exceptional great job making sure we all had what we needed close to everything 😊across from lake beautiful sunset spot

TV could be larger the room needed a face lift but they were giving a face lift to the exterior

Located right across the road from Lake Michigan (a few rooms offer patio/balcony with beautiful views). Only a couple minutes drive into very nice downtown with a large beach, lighthouse, and historic downtown with popular pizza restaurant and (if you have kids) carousel/fountain areas. Restaurant/bar right next door (not sure if affiliated). Very comfortable beds. Quiet as long as doors/windows shut (although traffic noise if not). Suites were spacious and included micro/fridge/wet bar. Some nice wineries within a few miles drive (try Dablon).

Could not readily access lake due to steep cliff. Restaurant next door had limited hours and average food although their huge patio looked spectacular for a nice evening. Hotel had very limited breakfast options currently (ie microwave breakfast sandwiches). If you have on anything other than basic fan, heat/cooling unit audibly cycles on and off throughout the night. Rates seemed a bit steep for off season. Property seemed a bit dated/worn but overall good quality. No housekeeping but can get towels from front desk.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night. This Holiday Inn is in a wonderful location in St. Joseph right across from Lake Michigan with a very nice restaurant right next door. It was convenient to the highway but not right next to it. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

We didn't try the breakfast because we were meeting our son for breakfast but the coffee was excellent.

The staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast was very good. The location was nice, close to the beach with a nice lookout across the street to watch the sunset.

Parking was a little wonky, the restaurant that is listed on it’s website is closed - maybe seasonal? - but they should say that on the site.

The lake view, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast. Location was a bit further away from downtown area but definitely not a deal breaker.

The only complaints was that it was way too warm in the workout room and we could not find light switch for balcony. Front desk staff did not know how to turn on either. A few cobwebs on ceiling near sliding door curtains. Only mention because my significant other hates siders. Lol

I like how close it was to the lake and the scenery was beautiful. The jacuzzi was nice but the jets were too low to hit your back. The pool was nice and warm. Also, the workers stocking the breakfast were wonderful!

The shower rod was broke and the price was high considering the fall/winter season. The restaurant/bar didn't have calamari and they closed at 9pm!
