The location was ideal. Great free passes for the zoo and daylight bike rental is included. We used the fire pit and roasted corn from a local stand. It was perfect.

Booking had listed breakfast included and the website showed a breakfast buffet picture. This has been discontinued. Talked with the front desk about it and they mentioned it was because of inability to update the information online. Minor detail for us on this trip. We made use of the full sized fridge and microwave. There was a farmers market and corn stand right down the road.

Great spot near the water, woods and bike trail. The grounds were well kept. Everything in the room was in good condition. Th coffee was quite tasty.

Our only disappointment was regarding the breakfast, which Booking.com said was included. The hotel said they haven’t been able to offer breakfast since Covid, and that they have notified Booking.com of this. The posting does not reflect this. This hotel used to have a wonderful breakfast.

It was simply perfect. The bed was comfortable , the room was clean and had everything needed and the newly remodeled bathroom was well thought out. Most of all the owner was friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Prices for places to stay in Duluth on a summer weekend are crazy - but they have to be able to afford to stay in business.

Nice decor. Comfortable furniture. Staff members were helpful and friendly. I didn't use free bicycle, but that is a nice touch. Also free zoo pass would have been fun if there had been time.

There was no soap in my room the first night. It was kind of noisy when people were outside in the vicinity of my room, but they quieted down relatively early.

So spacious and charmingly decorated. Shower was very old with paint chipping on the ceiling- bathroom overall needs an update. The outside back garden area was beautiful and resort-like! Would be a great value if you had kids as there is a bedroom and another sleeping area in the main living area. Would stay there again.

I wish you could get a welcome like this at all hotels! Such friendly, helpful people—made us feel right at home in an instant. It’s a classic, cute motel that’s updated nicely; very clean and comfortable. Our room was very spacious and we loved that it had a back door out to a green space. And of course, as Dog People, we appreciated their welcoming of our pups.

We accidentally left an article of clothing behind in our room when we checked out. The staff called us and we came back to pick it up.

A free continental breakfast was advertised on the website, but I was told by a staff member that there hasn't been a breakfast since Covid started more than two years ago. The website should be updated.

Real towels! Not the thin junk you get even at higher end motels, these were real, thick, towels. The rooms have a back deck/porch with a grill. This is a small historic inn south of the city of Duluth so you don't see Lake Superior but it is quiet and close to the Munger Trail. I noticed you could rent bikes. The caretaker who checked me in recommended an excellent diner for breakfast, The Trophy, in Gary about 4 miles away.

They do not serve breakfast but there is a coffeemaker, microwave, a small fridge, and a grill out on the back deck. Note that the rooms are small, but you are supposed to be outside doing stuff, not staying in the room.

Cute, clean motel room. Comfortable bed. Great decor.

We wish they would have had blackout curtains. Bright light coming thru the sides of the pull down shade on the picture window.

Cleanliness of room and friendliness of staff. Size of room was great. Loved having a deck w/grill.

A couple things needed fixing. leaky sink in kitchenette. And knobs are needed on the cupboards in kitchenette, hard to open without.
