Quality Inn & Suites Mayo Clinic Area

Location is close to a lot of shops and stores - and a straight shot to downtown Rochester. Room was clean and comfortable and the hotel nice and quiet. The suite was very nice - my son could watch TV while I slept in the other room. Shower worked well and the bathroom was super clean. Was also nice to be able to pick up a daily paper downstairs as well as tourist info on Rochester. Front desk staff were nice, too.

The hotel is dated. Furnishings could be updated, such as the ripped easy chair in room 236.

I loved the skylight which added extra natural light to the room. It was nice to have the two rooms so one could go to bed earlier than the others.

There was not much gluten free options available for breakfast. For those to whom it matters there is no elevator to the second floor where we chose to stay because I don't like to be on the ground floor. There were external stairs as well as internal so easy enough to get your belongings to the room.

Big suites: 2 queen bedrooms with sink, living room, small full kitchen and bath. Clean, clean, clean. We love the first floor for easy access. Nice staff. Breakfast typical of many hotels in area. Nicely furnished. Very efficient.

Parking lot looks old. Fox this fall? The front could be brightened up with flowers in pottery or planted in ground. Make it look cheerier. Take out the tall evergreens. Does not add anything to the landscape.

The suite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay: room to stretch out, comfy bed & pillows, kitchenette, nice bath and shower, good carpeting, and looks like the facility was recently updated.

My key card kept dying. I hate key cards ... so unreliable. In the old days, never had a problem with "real" keys. That technology took lodging to a low level.

Counters in bathroom and vanity in bedroom area were much too low, and we are not especially tall people. Same thing with the height of shower head in the bathroom. Breakfast was light/continental, but for the price it was fine.

I picked this place because of the parking and breakfast. We almost drove by it as the intersection to enter seemed like an alley and the sign from the street did not stand out. We found the beds and pillows very comfortable. We had 2 rooms, a fridge, microwave, and 2 tv's which fit out needs perfectly. As stated by someone else, the decor is humble but we would stay again because it was quiet, comfortable, and met our needs.

No cons other than the signage from the street.

Very clean and comfortable with shuttle service to the Mayo. I have been going to the Mayo Clinic for my annual physical for 23 years and this was the first time I stayed at Quality, and it was the best motel experience I have had in Rochester. I will be staying here again.

The beds are very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating to any requests that we had. If you're traveling for medical reasons, it's almost a guarantee that you're going to meet a stranger who knows the struggle.

Door clearance to toilet position a bit awkward

Exceptionally clean room and lobby! Newly remodeled. Excellent staff and service! Great shuttle service. Great location. We loved it! I had to stay longer for clinic appointments so we were able to stay in our same room!

Just to let people know that there is no elevator or pool.

Lots of room in the bedroom with a recliner and couch in the living area. Comfy beds and quiet location only a short distance from Mayo Clinic.

We would have liked a fitness center. The waffle machine wasn't working during our stay, but having breakfast available at 5:30 was helpful our early appointment at Mayo Clinic.
