Never having been to Frontenac and only used the hotel as a base for 2 nights at the start of a 2 week holiday to Missouri from the UK (our son is an international student at a university nearby), it was the perfect location for us. The bonus of the pool, free onsite parking and a good restaurant/bar all counted towards exactly what we were looking for at a very reasonable price.

We found the hotel very dark inside but as we weren't there very much it was fine. We do tend to enjoy natural daylight and found the breakfast restaurant, main restaurant/bar and inside areas very dark as they didn't have any windows.

beautiful old building in a suburban part of town. free parking, good tv situation, clean and comfortable room.

our room was reeeeeallllly far from check in, in a whole other building. there was no staff at all in the other building and maybe no other people at all, which was kinda creepy. we had to walk a long way around a ballroom to our room. we did not have enough towels in the room for 4 people but we were so far from the desk it felt crazy to mess with it. unclear if we missed breakfast because nobody told us about it or if there wasn’t any. basically felt like we were in a separate hotel by ourselves which some may enjoy.

staff went above and beyond. shoutout to Romonda(sorry if it’s spelled wrong), she was incredibly empathetic. my reservation through booking.com never went through on bookings end but the hotel was still so accommodating! beautiful miss Romonda is an immense asset to the hotel and staff.

booking.com needs to fix their issue with reservation confirmations, in general, but maybe check into it for this hotel. I recommend calling the property to make sure they retrieved confirmation or just don’t use booking.

The location, the nice big room, the quiet.

The furst day we arrived, the front desk staff were ok, no real standouts. The asked if they could put us in a room separate from main building. We declined, obviously. We went to the restaurant to eat, great waiter who was super efficient. After that, all meals were slow and very ineffecient wait staff. Good food though.

Breakfast was great! A little expensive if you don't do the buffet but we were there for the holidays so splurging a little was already in the budget.

The room stayed pretty warm despite our air running through the night. However, I feel like we were the only ones in our wing of the hotel that like the air on during the cold months. It's likely the heat from everyone else's rooms was just causing it to stay a little too warm for us. Also, next time we'll be requesting to stay in the front house! After walking in and seeing all that beautiful light and decor + awesome seating area upstairs, it was a little bit of a bummer to be stuck at the very back of the property in an area that seemed like it wasn't used as much.

room was neat and clean n best thing was I had connecting flight n they dropped my luggage on my phone call swimming pool was outdoor n was neat

microwave oven is located only at reception my room was very far away from it so had go every time to warm up my food

Everything was very clean -- most important these days. Liked that bottled water was in the room. Plenty of pillows. Staff very friendly & helpful. Would stay here again when I am in St. Louis

-- wish pillows were a little softer -- but nothing to complain about. Would have liked a channel guide for the TV as the TV gave only information for shows currently being aired and would have liked to know what shows were on each channel for the day. Also didn't know where the channels I wanted were located or which channels were available without scanning through everything which takes a lot of time.

Very quiet hotel. DIdnt hear a thing and the hotel was 100% booked. Large rooms, very clean had a wonderful number of chairs in the room. You didnt have to hang out on the bed to visit with friends. Parking was close and secure.

I would have liked to have more time to use the pool and resturants. We didnt have time to explore the hotel like we would have liked. Loved the upscale feel. We would be back for sure.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They helped us navigate the area and chose excellent restaurant choices. The hotel is quite large but they were very helpful directing us the best ways to get where we needed.

Only complaint was we had 4 people in a double and we didn’t have enough towels. However they rushed the towels right up when needed

It was beautiful, room was nice and the pool was great for the kids to play in

Seemed understaffed. Had to wait almost an hour for pool towels. They have a restaurant on site and when we tried multiple times to call for room service there was no answer. When going to restaurant there was no one to welcome/wait on us for over 5 minutes. In which time we left to go elsewhere
