Comfort Inn University

Location is perfect - right on the river across from the University of Montana campus. The breakfast was just what I wanted, aka sausage or bacon, eggs/omelets, yogurt, ect. TV worked great, plenty of channels to watch. Wi-Fi worked great.

There were a few minor things - the window had a safety block that would not allow the window to be opened more than a few inches. The hot water was more warm than hot.

My first impression of the lobby area was positive, it was very clean and inviting. When checking in, staff were very friendly, helpful and engaging. We were early, and no rooms were ready, so the person checking us in reached out to housekeeping to redirect them to the type of room we'd requested so we could get into our room after just a short waiting time. While we were prepared to find some sort of entertainment for what could have been hours of waiting to get into our room, in fact, we only waited around 20 minutes. The room exceeded our expectations, very clean and comfortable, and the view of the river was beautiful. The breakfast provided a number of options to choose from. There was a waffle maker for fresh waffles, sausage and eggs, juices, fruits, yogurt, etc... We would definitely stay again. We moved hotels after our stay to be closer to the event we came for, but I wish we'd stayed at Comfort Inn and drove a little further to the event, because our second hotel couldn't hold a candle to our first.

The only negative we came across was that the shower was squeaky and creaky.

This was our second time staying at this location and it was once again a fantastic stay. This hotel is incredibly dog friendly, making it easy and mostly stress-free to travel with pets, and has become our go-to hotel when we are traveling through Missoula. The rooms are clean and quiet, the staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and the provided breakfast is also a great value, providing a nice variety of options.

location was good. within walking distance to a number of restaurants and easy driving distance to downtown. Located along the River so pleasant surroundings.

The toilet in our room was VERY sluggish. we noticed this early on but we were only staying one night so we didn’t report it to the hotel until we checked out. not awful but not ideal. should have been noted by people cleaning the room from previous guests.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The room and bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable. We have trouble sleeping in rooms with blinds or curtains that allow light into the room at night. This property uses the blackout pull curtain behind the sheers which is perfect for keeping out light. The two women who cleaned and stocked the breakfast room were first rate. They restocked the breakfast bar several times while we ate and cleaned/sanitized tables as people left the dining area. We like hotels that offer guests restrooms near the lobby, so we don’t have to return to our room to use the facility during breakfast. My boyfriend visited one such restroom on our first morning as a young, Down’s Syndrome man just leaving. Unfortunately the young man left quite a soiled mess on and around the toilet. My boyfriend went to our room to do his business and I quickly reported the issue to the front desk. Within minutes the young lady from the breakfast room was rolling a mop bucket to the restroom. All employees were gloved, masked and friendly. I overheard one housekeeping supervisor remind a room cleaner to put on a mask. Most guests were also masked. I used the laundry facilities which were clean and in good working order. Fitness room looked well equipped and clean as well. Although this was a busy hotel, it was quiet.

One washer and one dryer is not enough for this busy property.Several people were waiting to use them.

The breakfast had a lot of choices and was good. The hotel was clean and comfortable and had a nice area outside to sit and enjoy the river view by the gas fire pit.

The railroad tracks nearby and the train blowing their horns was annoying. The bed was firm.

The location is amazing, next to the Clark river that you can stroll along or just enjoy. Breakfast was good, room was clean, and the staff turned on fire pit that we enjoyed outside. We were also able to use their bikes in the morning for a beautiful stroll along the river.

There was a limit of 2 bikes to use and when we arrived we weren’t able to use them because it was on a first come basis.

great hotel, rooms a good size, bed very comfortable. breakfast standard fayre, plenty of choice, fine for vegetarian too. well situated, plenty of parking, nice view of river. complimentary drinks in lobby, ice machine available, chill water dispenser in gym.

gym was small. one yoga mat available (very dirty), only just enough space to put it down between machines & no room to stretch.

Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the big size of the TV. We also loved the gas fire pits outside and used them… nice extra touch! 👍😃

Nothing, we were very satisfied. We loved our room and view looking out at the Clark Fork River.👍😃

Staff was very courteous, helpful, and accommodating. We were dropping our son off for his freshman year of college and the location made it very easy to get to campus or downtown by foot or car.

The train that runs across the street is loud and runs frequently.
