Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, an IHG Hotel0

We thought the location was convenient for our schedule. Most places we wanted to see were within 15 minutes drive from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and check in/check out being very efficient. We loved the overall "motif" of the hotel and found it very clean. It was great to have a few options in the hotel for eating and really liked coffee being available in the lobby area early.

Not much to comment on, but I wish the chair in our room was more comfortable, but the bed was fine.

Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. Hours were disappointing though. We needed to be at our destination by 7:00 and breakfast service didn't begin until 7:00 so was not able to take advantage of breakfast included in rate the first day.

I didn't have a personal complaint about this but my co-workers all complained about not having a coffee maker in their rooms. Acknowledge that there is coffee available in the lobby, but as my supervisor said "Do you expect me to go down to the lobby in my bathrobe?"

the decor, the restaurant, the coffee shop were all beautiful and food was delicious, perfect weather in September for enjoying coffee outside on their patio. i enjoyed the nice touch of wine hour!the pool was also beautiful but I wasn’t prepared to use the facilities.

The Kimpton Hotel was nice, well maintained, and in a great location. The service provided by MOST staff was excellent. They clearly go out of their way to make you feel valued and welcomed. Austin at Valet and the front desk staff were amazingly friendly, helpful, and courteous. The maintenance lead that repaired by bathroom lights was also courteous and knowledgeable. All in all, the experience was pleasant and I would certainly stay at this hotel again. Just avoid the restaurants due to poor service.

The breakfast crew at the Orleans restaurant could use proper training in service, respect, and how to work properly in the customer service industry. I had a horrible experience with a female bartender/server my first morning at the hotel. I stood in front of her for two minutes and she never greeted me, even though she was facing me. It wasn't until I addressed her that she paid attention to me. She told me to "sit anywhere" and will follow me with the menu. That never happened. She continued to clean the bar and talk to cooks, and I waited about 10 minutes during this whole time. I decided to walk out of the restaurant. Based on the experience I received, I purposely avoided dining at any of the restaurants provided by the hotel for fear of having another bad experience.

The front desk and hotel service was amazing, management went above and beyond. It felt like we were out of the country at an exclusive resort and that the staff knew who we were even after just one night a two days at the pool. The manager (i believe) even gave my husband and two children who were waiting patiently for me a quick tour of the downstairs lounge/restaurant explaining the history and the Reuben sandwich creation fame, which they told me all about. Management and the front desk all things hotel outside of bar and restaurant service efficiency were BEYOND and top notch, truly an experience a memory highlight for our family getaway. Loved.

It seemed in the start up there are a few kinks due to guest to staff ratio with no towels at the pool due to guest volume and very slow turnaround on drinks and service around the pool area especially. There was not a great sense of urgency by bar staff, even when so many were waiting for so long. They made up for a lot by being so gracious and kind. That being said management was pro-active in letting us know to bring room towels and they would replenish so we were prepared and we had a small issue with out bathroom door, which was followed up with a quick move two doors down. Issues may happen anywhere, it is how they are handled and I've truly never had such an active and professional response to everything which made us feel special and welcome.

We loved the wine which we could sip from real glasses while looking at books in the sitting rooms, also loved the beautiful room. So many things were provided if needed, like umbrellas, bicycles and helmets that we could borrow, The Committee restaurant was fantastic! We had oysters Rockefeller and baked Alaska for the first time. The swimming pool was lovely although we would have liked to hang out in the hot tub, which was closed. I can’t wait to and definitely will visit again. Definitely the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in!

The cutest property! It’s filled with plants, amazing tiles, etc. the vibe is unbeatable! 10/10 recommend!!

there was a make up (?) or some kind of stain on our flat sheet. It made it feel like they didn’t wash the sheets or if they did, whatever make up stain or something, didn’t come out, so it didn’t feel clean. Wish they caught that and put new sheets on, but otherwise everything was great.

The room and common areas are all so gorgeous and luxurious. Friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful pool area and upscale bar and restaurant. Great location. There was a party on the top floor so the noise level was exceptionally high having a room on the floor below. But it quieted at a very reasonable time and remained calm for the duration of our stay.

The location was outstanding as the Blackstone area offers so many great eats and activities just a short walk away. The valet was outstanding and always quickly retrieved our car whenever we needed it. A simple text to him and the car would be waiting! The rooms were spotless and offered everything you could want. Loved the tile in the bathroom! :)

Friendly, clean, willing to accommodate anything we wanted - amazing experience!

People put their towels on the pool chairs by 8am on Saturday - shouldn’t be allowed to reserve chairs
