This charming bed and breakfast in Ashland is a true hidden gem. We had an exceptional experience from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our stay was the fireside chat we had with the innkeeper, Glenn, and a glass of wine. Glenn is one of the most fascinating individuals we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. His warm and friendly demeanor made us feel instantly at home, and we had hours of engaging and enlightening conversations. His knowledge of the area also added a special touch to our experience, making us feel like honored guests rather than just another visitors passing through. The inn's aesthetics are enchanting with elevated decor of a bygone era. Complimentary bottled water was included in the room along with all the creature comforts. We especially like the fireplace in the room as it was an abnormally cold week in New England. And more importantly, the entire establishment was impeccably clean and maintained! As a bonus, this inn is also pet-friendly, our cavapoo had a relaxing time after hours of being stuck in the car. Breakfast was simply delicious! The poached egg with pesto and fresh fruits stole the show. We were the only one at the time and it felt like a private dining experience! We had the room "MONROE Suite", which is located on the ground floor with direct access to the porch and garden. Lovely. This room has a fireplace & a whirlpool tub, very pleasant, especially after longer hiking tours. BREAKFAST What can I say. You have 10 dishes to choose from, all freshly prepared and served at the table. On top - fresh served fruits, coffee, juice, ... - after your breakfast you are prepared for the day, your tours and due to the size of the portions, lunch is not necessary :-) DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO IN THIS AREA? You can complety come unprepared to Ashland, White Mountains, New England. With Glenn, the owner of the property, you have Mr. Wikipedia in the house. I can only say, follow his recommendations e.g. 1 location, 1 region per day and he will provide you with great alternatives what to do ... before ... YES, before you will join the WINE HOUR Starting 5pm you are welcome for an hour socialising in the garden and/or on the porch. Wine goes to Glenn ... We had a great time but unfortunately only booked 3 nights.

Breakfast is a delight at Glynn House Inn. Superbly made with a varied menu. Freshly made to order for each guest. Room was very clean and beautifully decorated. Easy parking. Glenn was so helpful providing great dining options and trails. I also appreciated that the price was reasonable while still giving a high end quality experience. Glynn House is in a great location so close to Lakes, dining, trails and attractions. It truly was the perfect getaway for me, I hope to visit again! Happy travels, - Patty

Glenn was very knowledgeable about the area and was very helpful in guiding us on where to go and what to see around the area. He couldn't understand why we would stay so few days in New Hampshire. After being there for 3 days, I too felt that perhaps we should have planned to spend a longer time. Anyway, the good thing is it means we should go there again! Glenn, hope to see you some day soon. Glynn House Inn served fantastic breakfast! We were given a few choices each morning. The quality of food and cooking was amazing. So nicely presented as well. Felt like I was dining in a restaurant. And the view from the dining room was pretty, overlooking trees with different coloured leaves as it was fall. What an awesome way to start the day! We were served wine in the evening. Managed to sit down and chatted with Glenn when we checked in. He has lots of stories. And you get the feeling that he enjoys opening up his home to people and doing what he is doing. Wish we could have spent more time at the inn, the place is so comfy. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time in the area so we had to make the most out of it by going out almost the whole day and only coming back after dinner.

The Glynn House Inn consists of two beautiful houses, the main house and a carriage house, situated in a picturesque neighborhood within walking distance to the Whitten Woods Trails, which offer stunning lake and mountain views. The property is a short drive to Holderness on beautiful Squam Lake, Plymouth, Sandwich, wonderful restaurants and an incredible network of trails. Our suite was comfortable and peaceful and the owners did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable, including providing wonderful home cooked breakfast every morning. Glynn was the most thoughtful and gracious host, and offered great advice on dining, hiking and lake excursions, as well as interesting historical insights. Finally, our pugs will agree that the Glynn was the the most beautiful dog friendly inn we’ve experienced!

Our experience was entirely positive!

Ambiance was fantastic, bed was extremely comfortable, and breakfast was fantastic. We stayed 2 nights and unfortunately left too early to have breakfast on day 2, but day one was spectacular. Jacuzzi tub was a nice perk.

very minor quibble; no fridge in the room. We made do with a small cooler and some ice. I don't really mention it as a negative of the room; just an FYI for people planning their visit.

The owners were very attentive and welcoming. The whole house was very clean and very comfortable. The area had lots of restaurants around to choose from, and good parking. The house is on a street that is not too busy, so it was great for our romantic winter getaway. Glenn (one of the owners) gave some great advice on things to do in the area, made sure we were well taken care of, and we had some great conversations with him. The beds and bathrooms were comfortable and clean, and the house itself is very romantic and historic.

It's a bit of a drive to places and high-activity areas like North Conway, but there's still plenty of intimate restaurants to try out around the area, and the people are great.

We booked the inn because it was accessible to the areas we wanted to visit. I can no longer drive long distances so it is the perfect area for us.

I honestly can't think of a thing. The host was wonderful! The inn is spotless, comfortable and welcoming!

The breakfasts were delicious, the innkeeper was kind, and personable. We truly enjoyed our stay. My husband and I truly enjoyed our visit. Other guests were nice to chat with as well.

Nothing could have been better.

Pre stay communication was excellent. My wife has severe dietary restrictions. The Glynn House team went over and above to accommodate her. When we arrived, everything was perfect
