Quality Inn Portsmouth

I had to call ahead from the UK a few times to sort out some parcels getting delivered before I arrived. Each time I called, the phone was answered quickly by somebody helpful, cheery, efficient and well spoken - I already had a good feeling before getting there. From check-in to check-out, the staff were fantastic. Fresh coffee always available, a good size pool and well equipped gym. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean and had a cosy sofa area by the window - a nice touch and so much better than having to sit on the bed. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a choice of hot and cold foods as well as pastries and cereal bars for a 'grab and go' breakfast. The reception area had a well stocked display fridge with the usual snacks & drinks, but also microwave meals - we didn't use them but that's handy if you get back late and haven't eaten. Theres a Five Guys across the parking lot and a small strip mall next door that has a well stocked supermarket and a surprisingly good bar/restaurant. I would happily stay there again.

It's not a touristy hotel but we just needed a base in the area. There were a lot of contractors staying there (that usually means it's good) but if you're looking for a place by the beach with mainly families with children, this isn't it.

Good location. Not crazy noisy. Front desk was super helpful. Breakfast included is always good.

It was a little out dated. There was old food under the sofa bed when we pulled it out and some dirt in corners of the bathroom and room. No trash can in the bathroom but one by the sink. Each day at breakfast I had to ask for items that were not out. Didnt quite know what was truly offered. I wasnt down last minute either. Usually about 1 hour plus before it was over.

Great location, nice size of rooms, comfortable room, easy access to highways and a short drive to the village. The neighborhood was quiet and there was a gas station across the street and a supermarket across, so this was convenient for quick access.

The room was a bit dusty and I think the rates were quite high toward the weekend, but we also travelled during a holiday. My internet connection was also pretty slow connected to their wifi, but overall I would still recommend the facility as it's close to many attractions and is a good option for the area.

Breakfast was awesome. Only thing I would improve is the choice of egg & meat , same everyday...I have seen other hotels offer different option every day, like ham, small omelet, bacon, etc...

No complaints...all was excellent. However in the room it would be nice to have a more comfortable arm chair in the corner, to watch TV. And we found the separate sink - not in actual bathroom- was a little weird !

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was immaculately clean, beds were comfy and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was pretty good...nice to see the return of hot items like eggs and sausage instead of just continental breakfast. Pool and hot tub looked good, though we didn't get a chance to use them. Overall, a really pleasant place to stay, located near lots of restaurants, and just a short drive to beaches and downtown Portsmouth.

Pricey for a budget hotel chain -- seemed like rates might've been inflated for Family weekend at UNH.

Great location, close enough to beaches and amenities (Rite Aid, Five Guys, Market Basket next door). Good enough breakfast ; all day, all night coffee/tea. Nice pool & hot tub.

Needs updating like in the bathroom, but it’s as clean as it gets being an older facility.

This was a great hotel to stay in to visit Portsmouth area. It was a cheaper than other options and it was very clean and had everything you need. It’s older looking on the outside and in the hallways, but not run down at all. Just a slightly dated look! The room actually looked a bit more modern. The air conditioning cooled the room fast, the beds were comfortable, and the basic breakfast actually had a lot of options. Couldn’t have been happier about my choice to stay here. Parking is free and easy and it’s only 8 minutes to drive to downtown Portsmouth.

The location was perfect between Hampton Beach and the Kittery outlets. Many restaurants locally. Our stay was very relaxed and comfortable! The blow dryer in the room quit and it was replaced immediately. Staff was very attentive and offered places to see and directions! Great experience!

Some general maintenance like bathroom tile could be fixed or replaced.

The breakfast here was enjoyable as in the past with the pandemic there were few and far between food offerings. It was nice to be able to get a hot breakfast and there were a surprising amount of options from waffles to scrambled eggs, sausages, fresh foods, and even take away offerings like muffins and breakfast sandwiches. I want to give special credit to Dolores who checked me in and was very knowledgeable about the area and things to do and see. She was very informative and pleasant. And as a fellow photographer, very relatable. Thank you Dolores.

It was in a great location, close to shopping and restaurants. It has a pool, which was great! The room was a bit narrow and much smaller than I had anticipated, but all in all it worked for us! The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was amazing! Something to please everyone. My grandson enjoyed making his own waffles, and he said they tasted amazing!!

I didn’t like the bathroom setup, but it worked.
