Howard Johnson by Wyndham Blackwood Near Philadelphia

I waited in line for 40 minutes just to check in. I always prepay my room and all I need is to sign and get my key. They should accommodate the guests who pay in advance and will only take a minute or two. I only had 2 people in front of me. And still I waited 40 minutes because the guest at the window wanted to know about food and things her kids could do. Then her credit card kept declining and she just flat out refused to let someone ahead of her while she figured it out. But your staff, facilities and all are amazing. Even worth the wait it’s a 10. You’re my favorite place to stay when I need to for work. That will never change!! Thank you for keeping it that way!!

I liked the layout of the property, with all bldgs and rooms surrounding a central pool area. The room was huge and very clean with updated furnishings. Private balcony overlooking the pool was great. Huge bathroom, also with updated furnishings and fixtures. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was great and served in a very inviting and comfortable space. Staff were notably friendly and clearly proud of their operation. Really liked the diagram showing the entire property with all the different types of rooms and where they were located--have never seen something like this before.

The pillows were too hard with too much loft; consider having 2 softer and less lofted options instead of 4 all the same. I understand that the property is moving to 100% non-smoking rooms, which I applaud. However, if smoking is still permitted on the balconies, that still causes a problem for those who want/need non-smoking. The elevator was out of service, which was not a problem for us but could be for others.

The bed and the pillows were so comfy and to top it off the sheets, pillowcases and Duvet were so soft….. after working 15 hours on my feet I literally sank into all that white softness. First I took a shower though and the massaging shower head helped soothe my soreness and great water pressure.

There wasn’t anything I really found that I didn’t like. It I had to pick one thing. I do wish the breakfast was earlier than 6am. I usually stay for work reasons but I start work at 530am So I don’t get breakfast🫤. It’s probably really good too.

I liked the room it was clean and tidy. Bathroom was clean but there were no hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes.Air conditioning was good and so were lighting arrangements. But the area for hanging clothes was not very clean.

The thing i did not like about the hotel was its overall appearance. It looked like a federal prison changed into hotel. The corridors were very narrow and not very clean at all. There were young men who were openly smoking dope in the cigarrets.

The location was good, but a little out of the way. The pool was not open which was disappointing however the bath tub in our room was HUGE and that almost sufficed. The bed was super comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean except the bathroom had what looked like drywall dust on the tub surround.

Comfortable and spacious room. Good location near Wawa and had station for immediate "supplies" and close enough to my son's school and shopping centers. Breakfast was good enough, staff was helpful and courteous (especially the friendly lady who kept the breakfast area clean at all times!) Loved having the pool. Wifi was a bit spotty at times

Neighbors could be quite noisy at all hours of the night and it seems that there's no one that looks into that

Great location. It was near a lot of gas stations and restaurants. The pool was big and very clean. The pool area and our room looked just like the pictures.

Everything was clean besides the hard floors. They had dirt everywhere, but we always wear shoes in hotel rooms, so it was whatever. Everywhere else was spotless. Housekeeping didn't come in our room at all during our stay, but I'm sure if we said something they would have.

Very large room with long, in-room hall that provided more privacy when using bathroom. Private deck that overlooked swimming pool. Good breakfast, including make-your-own fresh waffles.

Shows it’s age a little. Could use some touch-ups here and there. Toilet seat was a little bent to one side, but no real problem. It would’ve been nice if swimming pool had been open an hour more on both ends of open time.

everything was great I was very surprised when I walked in the room because I was referring to the comments and it seemed not so great!!! but over all the beds were confortable the sheets were clean the lady in the front was a sweetheart the little continental breakfast was perfect lots of choices belges waffles yogurt cafe orange juice muffins etc… price wise it was perfect!!

little stuff that are irrelevant to the stay like the dryer in the toilet doesn’t work, the smell in the room was little weird ( corrected it with I little parfum all over the room) pool was closed but otherwise there’s nothing to complain about.personally if anyone complains about this place you should book at the Ritz Carlton

Very convenient location , only 15 minutes away from GCIT and the pool there ! Absolutely no traffic! Clean, specious , bright and updated breakfast area with the necessities of continental breakfast, freshly brewed coffee, cereal, fruit and made your own waffles Clean, Specious , updated bathroom and clean bedroom with balcony for fresh air. WAWA next door ! Very kind and accommodating Staff! Very reasonable price. Thank you !
