Not only was the hotel amazing but the owners were fantastic!! Aparently they bought it a year ago ago and have brought it very far!! We arrived Friday morning knowing we could not check in yet so we asked if we could park and go on the beach until our room was ready. Very accommodating and the the owners said absolutely. We were on the beach 30 minutes before we got a text telling us our room was ready. We enjoyed our time on the beach a while longer and then made our way to the office around 2pm. Unloaded the car and went to our room. The room was a mess. The fridge was in front of the bathroom, towels on the floor. We were confused. I went to the office. It was a mistake for us to be able to check in early do to maintenence needed in our room which happens. They had to replace the fridge. The owners we ever so apologetic. We went to the Crest Tavern for a cocktail and appetizer and in an hour the room was perfect. We now have our go to get away. We absolutely enjoyed everything about the coliseum EXCEPT the restaurant. We are hoping they choose another vendor for their restaurant m they are terrible. Dirty, cannot get orders correct, food is gross, shakes are more like chocolate milk etc..

First of all, the location was absolutely lovely. We were able to check in a little early which was absolutely fabulous. Kudos to the hotel for that one! Walking into our room it was bright and clean and I can tell that they were recently updated which is coming along great! The pool was warm which was so welcoming when entering from the cool ocean breeze that you can see from just the deck above that had 2 grills and two tables to sit at and enjoy. The hotel staff were awesome. We enjoyed the pizza shop down below, and even they were awesome! The older reviews DO NOT represent what it is now, and we were so relieved. The rooms we slept great in because the AC really drowned out the noise and we were there for 4th of July week. Towels were replenished every morning, and anything we needed help with or more of we were taken care of. Great 1st Impression!

There's not much to say but I could say what they could improve on.. I know there are new beds and mattresses, but they are not made for comfort.. the pull out bed was more comfy. Leaving the pool open a little later for adults after 8... ? Kids (ours included) really took over the pool with toys up until closing. Safety? Some of the railings were held together with duct tape and the integrity of them seemed a little iffy with people leaning on them. Parking.. it's tight but I'm not sure it's as horrible as some people made it out to be on reviews..It's free!!! 3rd floor with no elevator sucked a little but it was manageable because my boys did the heavy lifting of the cooler. Idk if I could have by myself.

location was great. the little diner at the location was great. breakfast was fabulous and having ice cream at night perfect. parking was very very very tight. one day we had 2 suv's parked along side of us and we couldnt even get into our vehicle. however the staff was great. for the price it was worth every penny.

outside needed to be powerwashed.. steps and walkway were dirty just from people coming from the beach. sandy but yet dirty. doors on rooms need to be painted for appearance sake. however rooms were very clean

This resort is what one should expect at the Jersey Shore. However, the room was EXCEPTIONALLY clean when we arrived. The one bedroom suite was huge! Spacious, overlooking the ocean. Beachfront is key for me, it is long enough of a walk to the water. The parking. OK. The spots are tight. I work in car sales and may possess an unfair advantage when it comes to parking skills. However, I would unload the fam and belongings, then park the car and push in my sideview mirrors to mitigate dents/dings. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and friendly.

My one gripe is that the sulfur water shower for sand removal on the deck is really overpowering. The breakfast restaurant also should open a little earlier. I would have liked at least one sheet change during our 5 day stay, but overall very happy and comfortable with room.

There was a lot of outdoor room for guests to use. Having a pool & the beach was ideal. We saw a staff member regularly cleaning up the property. Great having an ice cream parlor / pizza place on site. The vintage vibe was fun w out sacrificing modern conveniences.

The room was waaay smaller than we thought it would be, sold for fam of four, two full-sized beds hardly accommodated us, but, the kitchenette was nice. Make sure you don’t stay on the first floor or you’re in the parking lot.

The location was perfect! Great beach area. The grills and upper balcony areas were very nice. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Parking spots were tight but manageable. We had loud neighbors, but the staff were VERY helpful with this.

Not a long walk to the beach, has a pizza place attached to hotel that serves breakfast and a variety of food. The beach wasn’t crowded and clean. The rooms are clean.

Parking lot is tight, difficult to park if a lot of cars are in the lot. Kitchenette and bathroom are small but we made it work. Had to buy pillows because they didn’t have extra, the ones on the bed were an inch thick, not comfortable.

We were aloud to check in early, I reserved 2 rooms, swimming pool was warm, which it was a plus, temps that day was around 70’s, rainy and cloudy, not much to do, so the warm pool was a plus. Right across from the beach, we loved it. restaurant on the spot but they open some time in the evening. you can enjoy your food as you can enjoy the beach view. will come back again for sure.

We liked how clean the resort was and how friendly the staff was. It was so close to the beach and the pool was very nice also. I also liked that there was a restaurant right there the food was delicious.

It was a little dated but I found out they are doing a overhaul this year.

It was right on the beach. There is a pizza restaurant right on the property with great food. Other visitors were really quiet. Staff was on site most of the time and they did nightly checks, which was great! Kitchen had utensils, pots, pans, glasses, plates, and the refrigerator was great. The microwave was small but worked. Fresh towels daily. Clean property.

The room and bathroom were small, but sufficient as we didn’t spend time really in the room to sleep. The beds were stiff and had curves in them, which means they haven’t been rotated in a while.
