Every room has a balcony, and the views are amazing. The rooms are also spacious, clean and beautiful.

The only issues was getting to the rooftop Westlight. I made a reservation through concierge, and when we went to the restaraunt, we were told it’s all booked but they will call us when our table would be ready- and they never did, which is terrible customer service.

Room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was amazing! The view was amazing, and I enjoyed sitting out by the balcony. Complimentary postcards and water were appreciated and ordering room service was fun. Front desk and staff offering turn down service were prompt and kind.

Pool reservation was confusing, and I would make the pool more accessible to guests staying at the hotel. The front desk directed me to the online reservation system, but the website only had an email address available, and no one responded to my email the entire time I was there. While the view from the balcony was excellent, the divider between the rooms were inadequate, and I could see the person in the next room through the divider whenever he came out.

Beautiful hotel with amazing view of NYC. You really do stay here for the view so make sure to book a queen Gotham room with city view. The bed was super comfy too, the shower was very good and we appreciated the lovely gesture they put in our room for our Anniversary. Thank You.

We were woken up twice due to the fire alarm going off and the second time a loud voice to say stay in rooms, no fire. Scared the life out of us as had already gone back to sleep and we felt it was unnecessary. Also disappointed to have booked the pool for 8am and waited till 8:25am outside the door with the lifeguard who had arrived for his shift and was told we couldn’t use it due to a staff member not turning up. why couldn’t we use it with lifeguard present? seemed silly. you can use it after check out so sadly this was our only chance. Also limited plug sockets and no bedside table. take an extension lead. The music is loud too from surrounding buildings so may not be liked by older guests. Thankfully the balcony view at sunset made up for it.

It is a lively, fun, energetic hotel. The pool is fun! It is in a great area, walking distance to the subway and tons of great shopping and restaurants.

Our first room had some plumbing issues (the tap was broken, but was promptly fixed). And we had to have our toilet plunged twice. After the third time with toilet issues we asked to be switched rooms which was a hassle for us, but it put an end to the plumbing problems. Also many people SMOKE on their balconies which is very frustrating because it is a non-smoking hotel and it still affects other people and is very rude. It happens every time we stay here.

The hotel is in an excellent location within Brooklyn, there are a number of great bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Also really close to the subway connecting to Manhattan and other areas of Brooklyn if you fancy a day exploring - would recommend a trip down to Dumbo. We had a Gotham View room that provided an amazing vista of Manhattan both day and night. Staff were really friendly and the room was well appointed - cookies upon arrival was a nice touch. There was a well priced mini bar in the room, and three bars within the hotel complex to try out - rooftop bar was very busy over the weekend.

Not a massive fan of heights tbh, and we were on the 20th floor. That's more on me though. Nothing else about the stay could be better.

The staff was very friendly! Had heard that this hotel was “hip” and had some attitude. We didn’t find that at all. The hotel had a good vibe and everyone we spoke to was very friendly. The front desk was especially helpful and friendly. Had a corner suite with a wrap around balcony. Great view of Manhattan and North Williamsburg. I used the sofa on the balcony to store suitcase since the room was a bit small.

We used the sofa bed in the living room and once that was set up we had little room to place our suitcases (3). The platform bed in the bedroom could have been designed with storage areas like we have seen in other hotels with smaller rooms. Small rooms are expected in NYC. Glad i could use the balcony! And we had a reservation for 3 guests. The room was set up with 2 towels and we had to remind housekeeping twice that we needed more towels. Minor really, but a luxury property should fix those things.

Staff is great. Very welcoming and professional. Room service is quick and the rooms are clean. The view from our balcony was the highlight of our stay. The city lights at night are just beautiful. Our room was smaller than I expected, but still comfortable, clean and modern. Subway is just a few blocks away, and you get to see some infamous Brooklyn street art on your way. Pool is heated and well maintained. There’s not much of a view, but at sunset it was really pretty. We had to make reservations to sit by the pool - which is something I only knew about from reading reviews. They should definitely let people know when booking. There’s no extra fee for a 3 hour time slot with complimentary poolside seating. They have a bar by the pool as well. We didn’t go to the rooftop bar but it was packed from what I saw, and heard great music. We stayed Sunday and Monday. Sunday the music from the rooftop was a little loud but nothing that would keep us from sleeping. The music stopped around 11-12ish. I was nervous about the music, because I had read many reviews that it was very loud. I didn’t find this to be the case. The pool was great and no issues or additional fees. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. An expensive trip - but other than the room being slightly smaller than expected, it was worth the money. We would recommend it for sure!

Bed was comfortable but very soft and plush. Shower pressure was great and Le Labo bath products were lovely. Room was clean when we arrived, mini bar was stocked with everything you might need including a charging cable. Robes were great! Nice view of manhattan from our balcony.

Hair dryer was a budget brand from the drug store. For a hotel rated 5 stars, I would expect the tech to meet that rating. Our room wasn't cleaned while we were out during the day even though we had requested it. The bed was very soft, if you prefer to sleep on a firm bed this would be very uncomfortable. Couldn't access the pool because the elevators were weird. sometimes the doors didn't open, sometimes the buttons didn't work. Free pool chairs are far from the pool.
