One of the most spacious and nicely decorated roons we have ever stayed in. Hotel is immaculately clean. Three weeks prior to this trip we stayed in Manhatten, as we have done several times previously. Take my advice, stay in Brooklyn. Its awesome.

Breakfast is coffee/ tea and pasries, which was adequate and good quality. If you want more, there are lots of local eateries for breakfast or brunch. Only slight downfall is that breakfast on a Sunday is left in lobby for you to taje back to room. We werent told this and its a bit of a first come, first served affair.

We got a very warm welcome upon arrival. Our room was ready for check-in, which isn't always a given at some hotels lately. Our room was spacious and well-designed with clever touches. The bathroom wasn't huge, but spacious, with nice design elements. Both were absolutely spotless. We were there for a wedding in their rooftop space, which was absolutely amazing, with highly creative food choices. Every staffer we met was friendly, warm, highly professional, and dedicated to providing superior service.

A bit pricey. The price on booking.com was better than that offered to the other wedding guests. In light of how much the bride and groom (and her parents) spent with the hotel, it would have been nice if the hotel offered a good discount. (It was only offered to those staying two nights. Most wedding guests don't stay two nights.) Also, the hotel could have arranged a better discount with the closest parking garage. Our price was $37. Walk-ins paid $40.

Room was nice. Bathroom very clean. Plenty of space for two people. Good aircon. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast served until 11am which was good and location was really cool - quick walk to subway to get to Manhattan and easy access to awesome parts of Brooklyn

One of the days we were told by other guests to 'GET OUT' out the breakfast area when we went to eat at normal time. This is because it had been booked for private event (Wedding Breakfast) and the hotel staff hadn't thought to tell us as guests that no breakfast would be served to other guests of the hotel at that time in the morning. The staff on reception were extremely unhelpful, no apology and did not even offer us a coffee.

Just around the corner from St. Vitus, the perfect location for an overnight stay after the show. Great style/decor and the board games/romance novel (ha) in the room were a pleasant surprise. Really comfortable bed!

Very pleasant hotel, quirky decor, liked availability of laundry facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. Our room had balcony with view partly concrete, but mainly impressive vista of Manhattan. Car to airport ordered by hotel was cheaper than yellow cab. Hotel is on boundary between industrial and hipster Brooklyn, ie turning left was rapidly industrial/commercial, turning right was hipster and only a couple of minutes to Manhattan Avenue with plenty of eating and drinking places. Would emphasise that location not a problem (other than accessibility of public transport - see below). Hotel is right next to Pulaski Bridge, although this was not noisy, and a good route to Hunter's point subway station, with great views over Manhattan. Long Island City (on North side of bridge) is not attractive but is not near the hotel and there is no reason to go there other than en route to the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge. (Simon and Garfunkel's 59th Street Bridge).

Main disadvantage of location is that it is a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest subway stations or longer to NY ferry stop. This would be a problem in bad weather. The hotel restaurant offered good choice of breakfast. Odd that the restaurant and bar were closed Monday to Wednesday evenings.

The staff were amazing. Kristina at reception made our stay special, enjoyable and hassle free. The rooms are amazingly spacious, deliciously decorated and super clean. The location was perfect - beautiful, safe, close to the subway, lots of restaurants, a lovely grocery market, reasonable shops, a feeling of home away from home neighborhood. The gym was small and sufficient for all my needs. All the equipment works; there is a sauna and clean bathrooms which I’ll try next time. Their maintenance staff is very responsive, knowledgeable and efficient.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Just a couple of things of which to be aware: The restaurant doesn’t carry a diverse menu and there is no room service which I never like anyway. The buffet breakfast affordable, adequate and on some days great with the right chef. Please retain the chef from Wednesday April 19th 2023 - the pancakes were great. He/she is a great chef. This is not a big deal because there are plenty of restaurants to explore near by. Some are cash only. Remind guests to request rooms to be cleaned. This caught us by surprise which was really not a big deal.. Kristina and John arranged for the rooms to be cleaned daily.

Everything was excellent. If I had to give one fault it was being charged $21 dollars for my breakfast while eating it. It seemed because I chose a hot breakfast it was not on the complimentary service, which is fine but the member of staff informed me of this while I was eating it and with everyone around. Of course I paid with my card, it was just very unprofessional and the gentleman himself had absolute zero personality. Sausages were cold ans horrible too which annoyed me paying $21 foe 2 Sausages and a small portion of scrambled egg.

The person who done the breakfast on the 11th of July @ around 8:10am.... unprofessional and bad attitude.

The hotel was a perfect one for our family of 4 (2 parents + 2 teenagers) who came with a car for 3 days / 2 nights stay in New York (first time visit). We loved everything: a great location (very easy access to the city with a metro; a quiet neighborhood with a nice supermarket just 2 min away), free parking outside the hotel; super nice, artistic interior; spacious and very comfortable studio-type room with a kitchen zone, private WC + shower room; tasty breakfast and good coffee; helpful staff.

Breakfast service/payment rules were not clear; although the breakfast was great

Good location - short walk to the subway (if its not raining) but you have to walk up a hefty set of stairs and over the bridge. Rooms were huge and bathroom was nice. The hotel overall was very clean. I stayed at the Hyatt in Grand Central after this and I was regretting leaving the box! it was much better. All staff were really nice and helpful. Especially Mr Singh!

Room was very cold at night and the aircon unit was fixed at the top corner of room, so I had no access to change the heating. The walls are also quite thin, so you can hear a tv on (in my case the next door room kept it on all night).

Arriving in the morning, we loved how we were able to take advantage of early check in for $75. Cristina at the front desk was very considerate and accommodating and even offered an interior room that's quieter or a room with more natural light but would have street noise. We opted for natural lighting. Being in NY we understood that street noise is part of the experience. The room is charming and spacious and had everything we needed with the exception of a phone. I am not sure if it was just our room, but having a phone would have come in handy when we needed something, but we were close to housekeeping as well as the front desk so it wasn't too much of a hassle. We walked up to housekeeping to ask for extra sheets for the sofa bed, and the lady came to the room within a minute or two. She kindly offered to put the sheets on for us, but we didn't need it on the bed at the time. Overall it was a nice place to stay and I would book here again.

Having a house phone would have been convenient when we needed more coffee, fresh towels, and sheets for the sofa bed. I'm not sure that there was anything that they could have done about the "cooking spice" smell but that was really noticeable as we walked into the room.
