what a great hotel! lovely people, great facilities in the room, quiet, good shower, comfy bed. also the location is amazing, good bars and restaurants nearby. people were complaining about the coffee in the room but besides the fact that there’s complimentary coffee downstairs, if you know how to make it the coffee in your room is actually pretty good. we definitely will be back, don’t hasitate and stay here!

If I have to think of something; we booked a supreme queen because we thought no one would be against the wall. that’s not true; apparently not every supreme queen has a bed that you can walk around, ours was against the wall. that wasn’t that comfortable at night if you don’t want to bother your partner.

The stay exceeded our expectations. The hotel is new, with a super comfortable bed, very quiet, despite being close to a high traffic road. The location is very good, close to the subway and several points of interest in Williamsburg. We really liked the service, very friendly staff. The room has a modern system to make excellent quality coffee. The rooftop has a good restaurant and views of Manhattan. Room seems small but is well distributed and accommodated two people comfortably, even with lots of suitcases. Whenever we needed any assistance, such as extra towels, we were attended to immediately.

It is expensive but price was similar to other good options in NYC.

The property was fantastic. The staff were amazing and super helpful with any question or query. The property was in the best location for easy access to the L Subway Line and was so easy to pop over to Manhattan Island. The room was spacious which was surprising with it being NYC and very clean plus the bed was super comfy. Another thing to add is that it was a super quiet and peaceful stay, you couldn’t hear much of the traffic which was a bonus! Already looking forward to my next stay when possible!

No access to a communal lounge or restaurant area due to the Hotel being so new but the hotel is opening these spaces in the next couple of months. Plus it’s in easy walking distance to all the local bars and restaurants so this wasn’t much of a hardship. Happy to stay again with or without these facilities!

The staff was amazing and friendly (they actually act like real people compared to when I’ve stayed at chain hotels like the Marriott). They go above and beyond to help you with your bags, answer any questions you have about the area, give you recommendations, quick to answer when you call the front desk for anything, and the property exceeded expectations. The rooms were clean, neat, and exceptionally cozy. The decor is modern, inviting, and chic all at the same time. One of the only places I could find that has a parking garage close by at a discounted rate and is close to the subway. There’s also a ton of shops and restaurants within a short walking distance. They’re also pet friendly so you will pass a few cute pups in the hall or on the elevator (added bonus lol). I 10/10 recommend this place and am looking forward to our next visit!

Overall highly recommend - amazing rooms, well designed, clean and comfortable. Beautiful artwork and furnishings. Location really close to amazing bars and restaurants and subway to get into Manhattan, in addition the free bikes were in great condition and made it easy to explore more of Brooklyn. Rooftop view from El Nico was incredible. Free coffee in the morning was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Daily cleaning seemed to come quite late in the afternoon when we were usually back which wasn't ideal, would have preferred if it was earlier. The shower door had a small gap at the bottom so every time the bathroom floor got extremely wet.

The room and all of the facilities were beautiful, well-designed, and clean. Many great details, including coffee in the room, a yoga mat and prop, and even a pilates roller. Comfortable bed. Got good sleep.

The TV situation was either broadcast TV or you had to use Chromecast, which was a pain to get working. Also, they have the TVs set to the default motion-smoothing setting that makes everything look like a soap opera. Many people will not notice, but if you are a cinephile/filmmaker it makes things unwatchable. Every other detail of the place was so curated and perfect, it was surprising.

the best location of the hotel in the heart of williamsburg - the best area in nyc as it was super close to L train which gets you right into manhattan within like 15mins or less (to union sq from which you can transfer wherever), also WB is the best area as it has everything - cute shops, the best pizzas - lindustry, joes, best pizza right around the corner !!!, the waterfront is like 10min walk from hotel. the room was nice and clean, staff was super nice too. had great experience!! also recommend to go to marthas cleaners which is like two blocks away if you need to get your laundry done. the kitchen in the room has nice kettle to make pour coffee. i really loved this hotel!!! will definitely come back

I like very much the concept and the philosophy, NOT YOUR AVERAGE HOTEL ARTWORK Working in partnership with local non-profits LAND Gallery and Pure Vision Arts, Penny features artwork by New Yorkers with developmental disabilities and, well, the artists and their work rule. Full of nice art works.

I like the rooftop very much with its amazing view, the restaurant, the interior design of the hotel, and the rooms. The hotel is very clean, I love the people and the service. I like the idea to have the kitchen in the room so that you can make your coffee in the morning.

We LOVE dogs! So, we really loved that it’s named after a dog. The location was great for us. It was peaceful and quiet. The hotel decor is really cute and our room was great. We had plenty of space for the two of us.Loved the robes! The pour over coffee was really good. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We loved that there were free bikes but sadly, we never had a chance to use them. We had a full itinerary.

The room thermostat wouldn’t allow me to cool the room enough at night. We were really hot the first night we stayed. Thankfully the staff kindly brought a fan to the room and that worked great. It would’ve been nice if I could have made the room cooler. Also, the lights in the room were a bit confusing.

The hotel felt stylish, cosy and very clean. The room was larger than I'd expected, well-designed, and quiet. All the staff were friendly & helpful. The neighbourhood has loads of great eateries and shops, feels safe, and was super convenient to the subway. The iconic Birria Landia taco truck is just minutes away!

Small things, but the pillows on the bed were so high/full they were painful to sleep on - I had to roll up a handtowel to use instead. And despite having a kitchenette with microwave, fridge & sink, and plenty of cabinet storage, there were zero bowls/plates/utensils in the room which would have been handy.
