The BlueBird Hotel in Lake Placid, NY, offers an unbeatable location. From my room, I was able to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, truly a sight to behold.

It is important to note that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and while this signifies a commitment to improvement, there are still small details to be ironed out. It would be great to see a more focused attention to these aspects to ensure a seamless experience for guests. One point I noticed is that the lobby music is quite loud. In my opinion, music should only serve as a backdrop and not dominate the space. Adjusting the volume could enhance the lobby experience and make it more relaxing.

The Japandi aesthetic of this hotel is welcoming and relaxing and feels on par with many boutique designer hotels but at a reasonable price. Though still undergoing renovation, I found the hotel to be clean and well appointed and the staff to be lovely and helpful. The location is just steps away from the shops and restaurants and there is easy access to parking and the major thoroughfares in and out of town. I have no doubt that I will return to Bluebird on a future visit to Lake Placid

There were minor inconveniences as a result of the renovations like limited elevator access or no onsite restaurant but it is clear that those are resolving week over week

Wonderful reception staff, we arrived later in the evening and they had upgraded us to a lake view which was really appreciated. They also gave us a few extra pillows, which I requested and let me tell you I'll dream of those pillows. Good size room, clean bathrooms. Beautifully decorated and centrally located.

Didn't love that there was not the additional lock on the door, that you see in most hotels. Our door was also a little difficult to open and close, which made loud noises. We could also hear the person next to us' phone for a good portion of the night. But just to be clear, that is not the hotels fault and likely because we had an adjoining room.

My less-than-excellent grades are due to the fact that it is far from finished. Thus, no restaurant, bar and other such expectations were not ready as it is a very soft opening. I would have thought that cost would have been less than it was. So I understand the situation and we were not upset by it at all. But were it finished, it would have been a much better grading. Many thanks and appreciation to the staff.

The rooms could be better fitted out. Coffee in the room would be nice. A desk would be helpful, though I understand the effort to send guests to the public areas for greater congeniality. Hooks near the sink would be nice to towels.

The hotel was clean and had a zen and Adirondack feel. The hotel is still under construction on one end. The beds were comfortable but everyone's comfort level is different. They weren't overly soft or firm. The showers are nice. The staff was friendly.

It doesn't appear the hotel has been open very long. The bar and restaurant aren't open yet. They didn't have an iron in the room. There are light fixtures on the walls but it would be nice to have a lamp on the night stand. Potentially I think it will be a good place once everything is finalized.

The property was nice overall. The common areas were beautiful. The room was a good size. The staff were very nice.

The TV was very confusing and we were unable to use it. The hallways leading to the rooms were poorly lit. There were no plastic or glass cups in the rooms for drinking. The shower was a walk-in shower with a half glass door that did not close all the way and it was very cold. The glass needed to be longer or have a sliding door on it.

This place is being remolded and we found it to be very nice. The beds were very good. There is no breakfast here, but good restaurants are very near and you can walk anywhere from this location. We were on the third floor and the door to the balcony did not have a serviceable lock.

nothing was finished! bat: not open! kitchen: not open! pool: not open( not finished construction)! retail store: not open! all of that would have been fine HAD I Been told in advance! bookings did not mention this! so quite a disservice and disappointing!

The hotel setting is very rustic looking. Nice ambience music is very calming as you come into the building hallway. Coffee and Tea is available Lots of lounging space where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine. Loved the shampoo, body wash, lotion collection as the smell feels like you just came out from the spa. Hotel staff at Bluebird were all welcoming and friendly.

The room was updated, comfortable, and clean. Lobby had a great design/layout.

Seems like some active construction. Not a huge deal, but you can tell which areas of the hotel are updated/newer than others.
