The property was right on the water and boats were available for fishing.

Just outdated, but for the price, it was a great value. The rooms were very clean! The are renovating the rest of the hotel, so I’m assuming these rooms on the water will be next. It was inexpensive for being right on the water. Also, there is a great deli for lunch right next door, The gourmet cafe.

The room was very comfortable and looked like it had been renovated. From the outside, this hotel does not look like much, so it was very pleasing to find the room in very good condition. The management provided a little basket with pretzels and 2 water bottles - free of charge. That was very appreciated! The breakfast was incredible with plenty of choices for all tastes! I would definitely stay here again!

Nothing

The biggest disappointment was no pool!!!! But we were notified of that AFTER we had already booked. Couldn't find another room anywhere (ECAC hockey playoff weekend) so still kept the reservation. We always stay here when visiting Lake Placid - hope they rebuild up on the hill and have a nice pool like before.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice quiet location. Nothing fancy about the breakfast, but definitely satisfactory. If you want a nice inn that is affordable, this one is for you.

The outside could use updating, as it does not do the inn justice.

Great location, loved that the property is on the lake. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly. Excellent value for the price. I was just looking for somewhere to sleep while in the area hiking, and this was perfect!

It was conveniently located to downtown, trails and stores, older property for sure, but served its purpose for the rate. Staff was friendly and accommodating, however they did charge my account twice. With that being said, they did rectify the situation without issue.

We originally were in the main part of the hotel but then found the tree house which was a hidden gem and upgraded for not a lot to that room. It was nice size with a great view and fireplace for me, my boyfriend and our 2 large dogs. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Definitely will stay here again.

Beds were not the most comfortable.

The property was a great location for what we were there for.

The place wasn’t super clean, the beds were very uncomfortable. The 1st night there we couldn’t park in the parking lot due to them replacing the street and hotel entrance. We had no maid service so we had to take out our own trash, and ask for clean towels each night and they didn’t have the indoor pool open or the game room.

The size of the room plus the additional view was excellent. Continental breakfast was a plus. Seeing the ducks was a favorite, and the location was quiet yet very near town.

On hot or humid days a ceiling fan would be beneficial.

It was rather quiet and clean. Probably one of the best spots I could find as well. I will likely return to it. Great staff.

Honestly, the price. I do understand that it's costly to run a motel/hotel, however, I do wish the stay would be cheaper so I could make longer trips happen to be with my girlfriend.
