We were a party of 3 adults and the room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The cabins are close to one another with very little green space except for the beautiful mountains as your view. Location was perfect for getting into town.. They did have an area under a structure for hanging out with picnic tables and fire pit..The staff at check in were extremely nice and friendly. Coffee in the morning there was appreciated along with lots of ice if needed

The place was perfect for 2 overnights while attending an event in LP. Only drawback is cabins are right on top of each other so little privacy and if you were to get a rowdy cabin it would be hard to escape the noise.( There was 1 late night gathering)

Clean room, beds comfortable, nice sitting area with campfire The staff were very nice and welcoming We found a nice trail down off the road to walk which was nice- A neighbor living behind the motel showed us where to walk to locate this

Love the smell of real wood burning campfire and would’ve preferred that The shower is extremely small & tight- an obese individual may not be able to fit in space The shower took a long time for the Water to be hot enough to use which wasted water unfortunately

The quaint facilities and conveniences were excellent. The location is beautiful and the staff were very friendly.

Minor things: The A/C is blocked by the bathroom door, so if we forgot to close the door the room was not cooled very well. The dishes were very haphazard. For example there was 1 bowl, no spoons, lots of plates, etc. We borrowed bowls from another cabin to be able to eat cereal in the morning. Not by any means a big deal, but thought you should know.

Me and my husband could hear the tv and the conversation of the person occupying room number 2 we are room number one , hopefully you can sound proof the room 1 and 2 , that would be a big relief to the incoming customer for the future , we heard everything about their conversation , they here our conversation too and vice versa , I hoped this issue would be resolve in the near future.

This is a great location. Very close to Lake Placid, but a quiet setting. There is lots of outdoor seating with the option to have a fire. We drove to Mirror Lake (less than a mile away) and went for a swim both mornings!

The cabin we stayed in said it could have 6 people, which we did, however, it was quite cramped. It was not a good layout--even if only two people were staying there the walkways in the cabin are small.

For a little place called Cobble Mountain Lodge, I was expecting more of a motel in the mountains kind of vibe, which it is, but it is the charming and clean version of what you would envision. The place has a beautiful view of the mountains and offers a little dining area in the room as well, which I was not expecting. The price was a little higher than I anticipated for this type of lodging, but the proximity into Downtown Lake Placid is most likely why it is a bit higher. It honestly takes 5 min or less to pull around into the start of the main strip, where all of the free parking is as well BTW. I think it a charming place and will certainly stay there again for future trips to the ADK.

the bunk beds were very convenient, and the warm bed coverings, the communal gas fireplace, fairly quiet only noise was the road in front of the lodge. The individual quaint cottages,very quiet could not hear any sound from the outside except the rain falling on the roof which was fine.

the shower head was very high up , might not be very pleasant for short persons .

We booked Cobble Mountain Lodge for a girls get away and it met all expectations. Our cabin was just as described. Accommodations we comfortable, clean, updated and in a classic Adirondack style, including a gas fireplace. Beds and bedding were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was spacious and bright. Location felt safe and private even though the cabins are close to each other. A quick Uber ride to restaurants. (It is technically walkable into town but its a very busy/fast road.) CML offered secure gear lockers, fire pit, cook out area and spots to relax outside. Grounds were well kept, including a dog waste station. As soon as we arrived, we regretted not booking an additional night. The value compared to other hotels I've stayed at in placid was superior, especially if you are wanting a place to enjoy and hang out after day time activities. We frequent Lake Placid and will absolutely book here again.

Nothing we didn't really like here. The only "issue" we had was being charged in full at the time of booking, despite the listing description clearly stating that guests were not charged until check in. Not sure if that was a discrepancy of book.com or of the lodge itself. When I reached out to booking.com, it was challenging to get a human and then they were of little help and required filling out bunch of digital paperwork and attaching a copy of my bank statement showing the charge. Needless to stay, I didn't go through all that fuss and just accepted the early charge.

Quiet, clean, and a beautiful setting. We stayed in one of the small cabins. We didn’t need to cook but the cabin had a kitchen area including a hot plate. The grounds were immaculate with multiple gas fire pits, chairs, and large gas grills for all to use. I had my complimentary morning coffee and cookies outside while taking in the views of the mountains. We will definitely go back!

Great convenient location, quiet and comfortable. The electric fireplace added a homy comfortable ambiance. The bathroom is clean and there’s enough lighting.

I expected it to be more spacious as advertised on website photos. The kitchen needs more light. They should add a full length mirror for the ladies.
