The view was exceptional - we upgraded to the lake view so we could enjoy it. Hotel is on Mirror Lake in the town of Lake Placid. Mirror Lake is reserved for non-motor boats, so it is very peaceful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The dining room is exception with very high wood ceiling and beams - very impressive.

The grouting in the bathroom needs a cleaning. The balcony is very narrow to you can't sit on it in a chair. The hotel is decorated to be rustic, so there is brown everywhere - brown flooring (imitation wood tiles) in the bathroom - brown carpeting in the rooms and halls - so the overall impression for me was dark and heavy. The toilet seat slipped when you were sitting on it and the magnifying mirror needs to be replaced.

View was great. Wish we had a bit more balcony space. Mary the bartender was simply an outstanding ambassador to the property. Everyone really was very nice from top to bottom. Front desk people very helpful - which believe me is frequently unusual. Property seemed to be well staffed with very pleasant people. For meals, we only had breakfast at the property and it was "good" and certainly what we needed and wanted. The great room was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view.

As we checked out, we told the front desk that the A/C unit in the room was loud and making an unusual noise. Not sure she wrote anything down but while it was a bit bothersome, others might have more trouble with the noise. Otherwise, the facilities of the property were very good.

The staff at check in and out are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The pool was nice but felt it closes a little too early. The views are amazing. The restaurant food was ok but staff was extremely nice and helpful The cost was high vs the food quality. The coffee was excellent though.

Breakfast was expensive for the Quality of food, generally went for breakfast on Main Street at Breakfast Shop which was amazing. The hotel breakfast was great if you want to get in and out quickly. Overall the hotel staff are exceptional!

The hotels location was great everything very close. The view was beautiful. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The beds very comfortable. The hotel itself was decorated beautiful and very very clean.

We had a leak in our ceiling so we had to change rooms. A little inconvenience but laurie immediately gave us a different room with a beautiful view and 2 free vouchers for breakfast for the inconvenience. And closer to elevator which made it easier for my husband has a painful leg. I would of given this a 10 for rating except for the leak. I would return here again though.

Beautiful hotel with spectacular views all around! Really nice room and unbelievably beautiful and comfortable public areas. Great location next to Olympic Museum and right above main street, everything is very walkable. Nice bar and outdoor seating areas with fire pits at night, met some really nice fellow travellers and had a great evening!

Nothing!.....great hotel and stay!

We had a King Deluxe with Lake view and balcony. The view of Mirror Lake was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The facilities are kept very clean. Went mid-week during off season so prices were excellent. Would not hesitate suggesting as a go to place. Lake Placid is beautiful with so much to do.

The bathroom was a little dated - shower and jetted - for a place as nice as this, but not really an issue. Just that so many recent stays at hotels have updated bathrooms. Every thing functioned as it should.

Was very clean, quiet, and the walls aren’t thin. Which is great while you slept. Beds very comfortable. Staff at the front desk was awesome, made you feel welcomed. The area around the hotel was perfect, great views because your high up. Close to the town, you can walk down to it or drive to several places nearby. I will definitely stay at this location again.

I wish there was a fire pit around the entrance where we went into to get to our room.

the female manager of breakfast and main dining room was extremely efficient, polite, professional, and helpful. She was fantastic and made our party to feel welcome and cared for, also, the front desk staff were efficient, polite, and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel.

the only tiny issue was the pool was a little too cold. But absolutely everything else was wonderful, we had zero complaints and were extremely satisfied, we will definitely reserve here again, excellent, and much thanks to all of you

We were very pleased with our stay at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Lake Placid. The King Bedroom Suite we had was awesome. The staff were great and very friendly. We wish we stayed longer. Definitely a place to return too.

The banana Chiquita sticker on the right side of the dresser in the bedroom we did find disturbing and disappointing. Which caused us to wonder if the room was thoroughly cleaned prior. Perhaps if they were doing daily complete cleaning of the rooms this would have been found from prior guest prior to our check in. We did not remove the sticker either. The electric stove rang had one of the burner grids not properly installed which deterred us from even using the stove.

The views!

The meal at the restaurant wasn’t good. Beef was overdone, no salad came with the meal-VERY pricey-$36. The only good thing about it was the view from the table. Needless to say, we did not eat there again. The other thing we didn’t like was the long, steep walk back to the hotel. It may be a good idea to have golf carts available? I’m not in bad shape, but caring Starbucks back up that hill in the morning was challenging to say the least!
