The hotel is so quaint! Our room was spacious and very clean. Very comfortable beds and spotless bathroom. Nice staff. We were able to walk to the Carrier Dome and local restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Check in took over an hour, but I'm sure that was an exception based on the amount of people attending the Paul McCartney concert. The air conditioner in our room ran constantly but the room was still very warm. When we booked the room on Booking.com, we booked a Queen room and our confirmation said Queen, but when we arrived for check-in, we found out there was only King or 2 Doubles. This definitely should be corrected.

The preservation of an old hotel intrigued us to stay.

Having an old hotel has its downfall, no restaurant, broken elevator, so suggest a lower floor just in case if you are older.

We stayed here for the NY State Fair and it is not far from the fairgrounds. The hotel was easy to get to and has a good amount of parking. It is a beautiful building that is clean and well maintained. So was the room that we had, which was a King Studio room. The lobby has vending machines for snacks and drinks, an area to get extras for your room (such as towels, toilet paper, etc), seating to chill, and a complimentary tea/coffee station. For the price and what you get compared to some other hotels in the area, it was a good deal and would stay here again.

The only dislikes/complaints I would have were that our room was right by the elevators, and you could hear them all night. Also, in the morning, when we were checking out around 8am, the coffee was empty, some of the creamers were empty, and the area was a little messy. For a Sunday morning, I kind of felt like this should be checked during busy hours often. I didn't have the time to inform and wait for a refill. There really isn't anywhere close that was convenient for a coffee around the hotel.

Location was great. We drove down from Canada. The hotel was just off the interstate. Also, we went downtown Syracuse for dinner each night and it was an easy, 12-15mins walk. We had a pet and the park across the street was super useful. Our King Suite was nice and large for the 2 adults and dog. Staff was super kind. Also, 7 mins drive to Destiny mall.

They hotel could use some upgrades. The furniture was very worn in our suite. The bed was good, but the rest very worn out. The park across the street, although great because of our dog, was kind of scary at night with people sleeping in it.

great location for Syracuse university graduation. excellent, helpful staff and parking galore.

The second elevator was out of order for my entire stay. Graduation weekend was packed with only one slow elevator for six floors of people. Someone told me the elevator has been decommissioned and doesn’t even work! It’s been this way for 10 years. The hotel really should invest the money and get that elevator working! It’s shameful that the hotel is too cheap to put money into getting the much needed elevator fixed. The only working elevator was out of service for a while on Tuesday morning at checkout time. I had to carry my luggage and bags six floors in the stairwell to get my stuff out of my room. That’s not right! Fix the elevator!

We liked the location, very convenient for our trip. Our room (King Suite) was comfortable and spacious with the refrigerator and microwave was perfect, and the bed was very comfortable. The free coffee downstairs and self-serve toiletries was great plus the free parking on-site is wonderful. Would stay here again!

What could have been better? Provide some free muffins/Danishes for breakfast along with the free coffee. There is no breakfast location near or adjacent to the hotel that we were aware of, also don't leave a stinky trash bin with food in the hallway all day long. Even after telling staff, it was not immediately thrown a way. Eventually it was thrown but it shouldn't have taken so long.

This is a lovingly restored hotel which was built in 1927. The lobby, hallways and rooms are very comfortable. The location is perfect for staying in downtown Syracuse. I stay here often and count on this place as a "way-station" whenever I am traveling either to or from Boston. Also, the beds are super comfortable!

A little thing, but important, is ensuring the cleanliness of "high visibility areas" such as the stainless steel framed and inner walls of the elevators. Also, the carpets in front of the elevators should be spot checked on a regular basis. These are easy fixes that will pay off handsomely!

Room size was larger than expected and extremely clean. From the moment you walk into the hotel you are greeted with a smile and can see that they take pride in the hotel - absolutely amazing! Free shuttle service to the airport - absolutely amazing and hassle free! Have stayed at other more expensive hotels in Syracuse and this one is by far the best and cheaper!!! an absolute gem of a hotel and will ALWAYS return here when travelling to Syracuse.

Steps at the entrance made it a little difficult for people with luggage - apart from this, the hotel was faultless.

The location is convenient for a transit stop. Not far from I90 and just off I81. However, see below. The room is very nice and comfortable.

The hotel has no catering facilities and does not serve breakfast. There is free coffee in the lobby and a rather pricey breakfast is available at the Holiday Inn next door. Other than that, there appeared to be no place nearby to get breakfast although on the way out I discovered a Dunkin' Donuts just off the northbound side of I81, about a mile from the hotel. Dinner was equally problematic as it was a Sunday and most downtown restaurants were closed. Eventually had to travel 4 miles to the suburbs.

The hotel was very nice and had a nice location easily walkable from the venue we were attending. The room did actually have a "park view" which was also pleasant. The room was well-kept and large and the bed was comfy. As a plus, the bathroom actually had a tub which is always a nice surprise. Finally, included off street parking which is another big plus.

The only negative, and this is on me for not checking, is that they do not serve even the smallest attempt at breakfast. This is something almost every hotel (including all of the less expensive box hotels) includes in the stay and something I think most people have grown accustomed to as an included amenity. I say it's on me because I expected it and didn't check the included features when I booked. But seriously, to the management there, you really should work on this cause it wouldn't kill you to toss out some muffins and danish in the AM and it would add to an already nice stay.
