historic hotel, nice atmosphere, well maintained, spacious room with couch, spacious bathroom, good location in downtown , close to food market and art museum, and walking distance to nice coffee/breakfast shops. we were attending a wedding there and it was very convenient. wedding hall was very pretty.

The shower head position is not convenient, you get all wet and cold before the water is of good temperature. the light in the room is low, not convenient to get ready, a little better in the bathroom but still not optimal. Coffee machine and water bottles in the closet and high to reach for certain people.

The front office staff were very friendly and professional. Hannah from "Eleven"- Marriott restaurant was exceptional and very kind! Her service and interaction with guests was very commendable. Fernando was very thoughtful and was supportive during an incident that took place on my last night.

The fact that items were taken from my room. I left my jewelry and phone charger in a black bag in plain view. My mistake, however never thought I needed to worry about theft. I will say that Fernando was very professional and definitely was apologetic.

I love this hotel when I am in Syracuse for work. The staff are so helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the historic building is beautiful. It is a great location for walking to restaurants, coffee, and other downtown locations. The lobby is exceptionally beautiful.

nothing! this is a great place to stay in downtown Syracuse. Given the weather in the area, I wish there was a starbucks in the hotel lobby but there is a good coffee place right across the street.

Gorgeous hotel and room. Loved the breakfast, too. Very friendly staff!

The lower level bathroom on street level had too many broken doors in the ladies room and because I was having knee issues, it was stressful to deal with. I also could not get a valet person to help me when I arrived so it was very difficult for me to park my car so far away in the public lot and carry by bags to hotel while using crutches.

Location was great and it was very clean. Beautiful historic building.

What I didn't like isn't specific to the hotel. Booking.com had my lodging prepaid (via Affirm). When I arrived at the hotel I had my booking.com information and it was NOT paid for and I had to pay myself (again) and now I am fighting with booking.com (and requested help via Affirm) to REFUND my booking since I had to pay (again) at the hotel.

Very convenient location right at the heart of downtown. The hotel is a historical building with many vintage charm. The room is spacious and very clean. My family really likes the gym which is very well equipped. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is served in the next door restaurant in a very pleasant setting with real waiter and waitress.

I had not stayed at this hotel so wasn't sure what to expect. As we entered the lobby was stunningly restored and beautiful. We were then greeted by a very helpful and friendly staff member at the check-in desk. We made use of the valet parking as the parking is a fair walk from the hotel. Overall, we loved our stay.

This gorgeous, meticulously restored 1924 hotel was a pleasure to stay at. Marriott completed renovations last year, during the pandemic. I stayed there for two nights while visiting family. The staff was outstanding, the bar food was generous and tasty at Shaughnessy’s, and the hotel rooms were luxurious, peaceful and quiet. Easy peasy parking for five dollars (!) across the street (it’s called Hotel Syracuse parking, and is not affiliated with the hotel.) Be sure to check out Kabul Coffee and the Salt City independent restaurant mall a 3 minute walk away. Thank you, Marriott for your part in bringing back downtown Syracuse!

Have been here in past years this has been the best the property was at its peak and the staff over performed seriously a step above in this day and age a great group of people !!

Love all the history. Beautiful building.

Parking. $27 for valet? Or $19 each time I enter the parking garage? Come on. The room was very expensive, free parking was expected and should be provided.
