For a very small staff, they've been doing an excellent job. The staff are very good, nice, do what they can, always ready to serve. Breakfasts were good, coffee was really good, servers were great (and were also the meal preparers), office staff was great. Room was clean and nice, bed was comfortable, and could be made chilly enough to sleep quite well. Good selections of beer at the bar, and the bartenders were nice.

Most of the things that I didn't like were things that would be hard to do at an old hotel anyway. The window A/C unit was a bit loud, but made for good white noise at night to drown out the traffic. Water takes awhile to get warm in the morning, so we took showers at night.

I liked that it was a historic hotel and that they tried to keep the history of hotel alive. There was music in the evening and rocking chairs for sitting outside on the patio. The staff was friendly and helpful! There was restaurant and bar on-sight but we didn't eat there so can't comment.

The breakfast was free, had very little selection. Things like milk were were an extra charge. The ambiance was nice, it had the feel of this is what it was like to travel and stay over 100 years ago. Loved that part of the experience.

Size of suite. Comfortable clean bedding / towels and separate sitting room. Nice personal porch. Close to Blowing Rock NC for shopping. Parking in town can be a issue, so be prepared. Also Close to Boone , NC a college town with additional dining options. The highlight of our stay was the Friday / Saturday night social area evening entertainment by some very well known retired professional musicians. Lots of personal interactions and some musical history lessons.

Minor items , like for our suite, the walk to the bathroom. Some bulbs out in the bathroom. Heating / Cooling unit a bit noisy, but bearable. All of the is was very understandable considering the Hotel was opened in 1891 as the Grand Dame of the area, 2nd oldest in NC and on the National Historical Register. Still has American Chestnut Wood floors and how long ago have those trees been extinct ! Entirely excusable.

Location of GP Inn. Blowing Rock Loved the quaintness of the Inn. All staff we interacted w were excellent. As a child 66 years ago when we drove past this Inn I wished I could stay here one day. I fulfilled that dream this weekend.

Well this is an inn not a modern hotel! It seemed a few services you would find there were missing. Limited menu at bfast. Needed a peculiar seating time/reservation which wasnt a problem for us but could be for others. As is a problem everywhere they seemed low in staff.

It's a beautiful inn and it had the comfort of staying at your beloved grandmother's house. It might not be for everyone, but I enjoy the vintage touch.

The shower was a little finicky to figure out. It took several minutes for the water to heat up and the temperature knobs didn't gauge it very well as I had to keep adjusting as I was in there to get to my desired temperature. Otherwise, nothing!

Loved the historic and peaceful feeling of this hotel. It’s a beautiful place with comfortable beds and nice rooms. The breakfast included was very good. The breakfast was made to order. I will definitely be staying there again. The highlight of the evening was listening to two gentlemen play the piano & guitar and entertaining us with their talents in the lobby Both men in their 80’s played Exceptionally well.

Nothing to complain about.

Beautiful historic hotel with a relaxing lobby area and two restaurants/bars. The breakfast included is cooked to order and very good. We had some unexpected emergencies during our trip and Rexanne on the front desk was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were grateful for her help and understanding. We ate in the Divide restaurant one evening. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Friendly waitress who went out of her way to make my children special drinks which they loved!

We love the history of this beautiful old Inn. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. It is a short drive into the village of Blowing Rock. Great get-away.

I found the soap size amusing. It's probably a cost cutting item. For one night it was fine, but others might want a larger piece.

I always wanted to stay at the Green Park Inn as I have travelled many times to Blowing Rock. It exceeded my expectations. The location and atmosphere could not be better. The history of the inn was very interesting. We were treated very well here. It was convenient having a restaurant at the inn where we could eat dinner after a long day of travelling and it was also nice to wake up and have a scrumptious breakfast downstairs. It was a delightful stay!!! We loved the porch overlooking the golf course!

Some updates to the room decor would be nice. I understand that a major renovation has already been made and it must be very expensive keeping a place of this size kept up.
